I needed a wife. She needed a husband. It was supposed to be that simple.
I had the perfect a rising career in the NHL, endorsement deals, and a reputation as the league's golden boy. Until it all started falling apart. Suddenly, I was on thin ice, and the only way to fix it was to show the world I'd changed. Enter Kylie Rae.
My best friend. My secret crush. And now, my fake fiancée.
She was an interior designer with dreams of making it big, and I was her ticket to the top. Our arrangement was one year of marriage, no feelings involved. I thought I had it all figured out. But falling for Kylie wasn't part of the plan. And now, with our secrets threatening to unravel everything we've built, I have to decide what's more my career, or a love I never saw coming.
They say the best things in life are unplanned. But what happens when the one thing you want is the one thing you promised you'd never have?

Kylie & Jaxon have been best friends for two years, and have been attracted to each other for most of that time. Scared of ruining a great friendship, they've both stayed quiet about their feelings. But when Jaxon's image needs cleaning up, and the deal of the lifetime dangles just out of Kylie's reach, a fake relationship reveals all they were trying to hide.
I liked certain aspects of the book. But there were certain plot-holes that bugged me throughout. Like, bugged me from early in the book right up to the end lol. But the storyline is a good one, with a twist to the ending that I didn't expect, but I did like.
