Set around Christmas time in a small town in the middle of 🤷🏻♀️🤣
Sloane is drugged and dumped in a small town with no recollection of how she got there. Fortunately, she is rescued by Dane an ex-mafia a$$a$$in who has lived 5 years in a secluded cabin outside of the town. He takes her there, to await for the drugs to wear off, at this point it becomes apparent she was left as one part of a puzzle from his past life, and not just her as more packages turn up with reminders of his past, memories start to make sense of the why. He soon realises a war is coming and with the feelings toward Sloane becoming prevalent does he take the war to them or run and protect her?

An enjoyable read, some parts were a bit slow paced for me before it would pick up and set off at a race. It’s an age gap romance with spicy times, angst, vi0lence and m^rder, amongst other attributes. I did like the segment where Sloane takes over with survival skills 🤭

Dane and Sloane's Story
This is a very dark Christmas story. It is the story of a retired hitman for the mob and a nurse who was unfairly accused of mistreating the hit victim when he arrived at Mt Sinai hospital in NYC where she works.
Dane has regrets about some of his hits, especially the final one as it was his best friend who was disloyal to his mob family and betrayed them.
Sloane, the nurse, is obnoxious and rude to Dane who offers to shelter and protect her. She is completely unlikeable for the first 100 pages.
The story is exciting but not really a Christmas story although there is a happy ending

Sloane didn't think she would survive the car ride let alone being dumped at the sid eof the road in the snow, and to be picked up by the man responsible. Danes a man who doesnt miss even as an ex assassin, but when he brings Sloane back to his cabin he wants to protect her, and when gifts start arriving their pasts collided and now everything hangs in the balance, and temptation never had been so deadly. Well written engaging story well developed characters, steamy desires, dark themes and more.

Dane and Sloane drew me in right from the beginning. He finds her wondering on a mountain road close to hypothermia and takes her home with him but not before he notices a chain around her neck with a bullet that shouldn't exist. This intriguing story is full of surprises and kept me glued to the suspense and budding relationship growing between Dane and Sloane.

Dane and Sloane meet in dark and mysterious circumstances, but there is something they need to figure out as packages start to arrive. The sizzle starts to grow between them too, the nurse and the ex-assassin. A steamy read with enemies to lovers, Christmas vibes, newfound friends and a very protective man. Loved it!.

On the Run
Dane and Sloane are on the run but someone from their past is threatening them. This was a story with complex characters and a heartpounding plot. I liked how rhe town came in to support them. This was a fantastic read.

This is a great addition to Cooper's Twelve Days of Blood & Sin series. Our main characters are Dane Barrett and Sloane Grady. Their story is sure to draw you in from the very beginning as Cooper delivers a dark, gritty, intense, and dramatic story. This story is full of chaos, twists, turns and intrigue. Great world building and I loved these characters as they are fierce in their journey to a HEA!
