⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Craving the Wrong Guy by Lisa Freed is an emotional, age-gap romance that blends sweetness with deeper moral conflict.

Rebecca is easy to connect with—hardworking, determined, and still figuring out her place in the world. Her vulnerability and honesty make her feelings feel real, especially as she finds herself drawn to a man she believes is everything she shouldn’t want.

Damien adds a compelling layer of complexity. He’s not just the older, experienced love interest—he’s a man carrying guilt and secrets that directly clash with Rebecca’s values. That internal struggle makes his character more than just a typical “older guy” trope.

What really drives the story is the tension between who Damien is and who Rebecca believes him to be. When the truth comes out, it forces both characters to confront difficult questions about trust, growth, and whether someone can truly change.

The chemistry between them is strong, but it’s the emotional stakes that keep you invested. Their relationship isn’t easy or straightforward, which makes the payoff more meaningful.

Hang on you won’t be putting this one down until the last page has been turned so get comfortable. Rebecca works too much but doesn’t have much choice because she is trying to put herself through school so working at the coffee shop meets interesting and so not interesting people although, one stands out because of his sad eyes, tipping her way too much makes her wonder. Damien sexy as all get out workaholic corporate attorney enjoys a cup of coffee just to watch the beautiful barista wants to know more about her but realizes one she is too young, two he isn’t the kind of man for her, despite the way she make him feel, makes him remember being human but he is positive he is the kind of man she doesn’t want, and he wants to do or be better just for her. The magnetic pull is there between them each time they meet regardless of it being a coffee shop but the more he pulls away the stronger the pull between them grows but he wonders if she will see the good in him despite his job, will she see the man he is trying to be, will he allow his career get in the way or his age get in his way of going after his girl, and can they find happiness somewhere along the way?

Craving the Wrong Guy is a spicy romantic Contemporary that brings together in a sensuous pairing corporate lawyer Damien and Barista Rebecca.
During his daily visits to the coffee shop where she works they’ve gotten to know each other, and Rececca always appreciates the very large tips he leaves her.
Money that helps to keep her afloat while attending school.
A good story that is nicely written follows them through a growing attraction and the overcoming of individual personal vulnerabilities that may be an obstacle to a relationship.
I enjoyed their narrative that had some drama, lots of emotion, and passion while providing an entertaining read.

Engaging age-gap romance. I enjoyed this story of topflight divorce lawyer, Damien and gentle barista, Rebecca. I loved their ‘meet-cute’ as Damien becomes a regular at Rebecca’s coffee shop whilst escaping his high-pressure working life. Damien is captivated by this younger woman and I liked that he has to fight with himself when she confides in him at how her mother came out of her divorce badly, by just such a lawyer as him. I enjoyed the development of their relationship – until Rebecca finds out what he does for a living! I loved that they both learn from their interactions: Damien – that honesty is prime in a relationship and Rebecca that you can’t judge all lawyers the same! A winner from Lisa Freed.

You just needed a coffee. And she gives you coffee and a blueberry muffin because sometimes you just need to have something good happen. This changes his perspective on multiple things. Age Gap? Yes. Seeing new angles through somebody else's eyes and views? Definitely. Feeling a relationship that is so comfortable it seems like it's been going on forever? That is in the Stars. Realistic situations. Taking a step back and finding out that sometimes which are really good at maybe something that's really bad and someone else's Outlook. Your person sometimes just wants makes you want to be different. And this is the second chance at a first chance reading enjoyment. Liked the twist and turns.

I liked seeing these two meet, get to know each other and fall in love, I believed in their connection and chemistry and hoped that the fall out I saw coming wouldn't be too bad. I liked seeing Damien reevaluate his life, and how he took time to really think about what was important to him. I also liked the support Rebecca got from her friends and the support they both had from their families.

The characters drove the storyline and they were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This book is a part of the Wrong Guy (Love Unintended) series and focuses on Damien and Rebecca. Damien is a successful and ruthless lawyer who has earned his reputation in the courtroom. When he goes into a local cafe for coffee, he meets Rebecca and instantly has his life re-arranged in all the best ways. They end up falling for each other quickly but Damien keeping parts of himself hidden from Rebecca threatens all that they’ve built together. This was a great story and a great addition to the story.

I loved this age gap romance. Both main characters are well written and know who they are in their lives. Rebecca works as a barista and is putting herself through college. Damien is a workaholic lawyer that thinks he's too old for Rebecca. This is a fast read, great characters and well written. I loved it. It's part of the Love Unintended series and it's a great read.

Craving the Wrong Guy is beautiful and real, heartful and eye opening. Damien’s redemption arc is gorgeously done, and I love how Rebecca shows him her light and also stands up for herself and stays true to herself no matter what. Damien and Rebecca balance each other in such a lovely way! Her friends are awesome side characters, as is his mother, and the ending is just perfect. Loved it!

Damien is a workaholic attorney who falls for Rebecca, a college student and barista at the local café where he goes. This is a fast paced, grumpy/sunshine, age gap romance with believable characters, secrets, drama, steam, and a great ending. The writing is good, and the characters are well developed. Rebecca doesn't trust lawyers after her mother lost out to a ruthless lawyer so when lawyer Damien is attracted to the barista in his coffee place he doesn't tell her his job. The attraction grows between them but what will happen when Rebecca finds he is a ruthless lawyer?

This is an older man younger woman taboo that will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end. The storyline flows throughout the book and the chemistry between the characters is absolutely fantastic. I loved Damien and Rebecca's story.

I thought that this was a great read. The feelings and emotions here were big. Rebecca and Damien were the perfect combination of sweet and spicy to melt my heart into mush and have me avidly rooting them on.

I thought that this was a good little story. The way just one little act made him basically wakeup in his own life. He was in a rutt of a cycle and not happy about it. Then a kindness shook him to the core.

coffee crush!

I really enjoyed both main characters in this angsty, age-gap romance. Both Damien and Rebecca are very secure in parts of their lives. However, they both have issues that weigh them down. Damien’s job as a lawyer is an integral part of the novella and the issues therein. I only wish the romance at the end of the novella been longer. The epilogues were really great! It’s always fun to see a peek into the couple’s future! ARC via booksprout.
