як же прекрасно. це ж треба пів книги рясно хихотіти, всередині добряче наїстися скла, а далі насолоджуватися емоційними переживаннями та екшеном 🙂‍↔️

двоє братів-найманців повинні виконати контракт і вбити сусіда елли та її саму. з сусідом впоралися на раз-два, а з еллою вже зав'язується ціла історія, бо виникають питаннячка, чому звичайну, трішки антисоціальну письменницю замовили і постійно збільшують чек 😏

персонажі тут усі просто кайф. і другорядні не менше за головних сподобалися.
елла - письменниця і донька шефа поліції. хоробра, не боїться раз-другий побігти за грабіжниками, бо в неї то сумку викрадуть, в якій важлива щаслива ручка, то телефон з рук поцуплять, а в ньому теж усе її життя. коротше, не сумує вона в житті. ще й постійно розмовляє зі своїм, як вона це називає, «письменницьким мозком», разом з яким і пише захопливі історії ночами 🤓
з братів: ашер - красунчик, блондин, золотистий ретривер. ну така ж мила турботлива булочка, зацілувати хочеться 🥰
гейбл - ніби звичний буркотун, зациклений на порядку і чистоті, але ще й такий кумедний і так смачно відіграє неприязнь до елли 😈
а броманс і жарти між братами просто 🤌

я правда не пам'ятаю, коли останнього разу стільки сміялася. гумор авторки точно мені до смаку. усі герої по-своєму колоритні й гострі на язик. а монті - це просто нова краш-ікона. ця жінка 😮‍💨🥵🤤🫠 цитатки монті можна усі роздрукувати і зібрати свою біблію. амінь. і як же круто, що наступна книга у всесвіті якраз про неї з дедді. шикардос 💃

💗лл тут і огорнула мене теплою ковдрою, і змусила хвилюватися, і довела до сліз, і гаряченьким задобрила. не буду спойлерити, але тут НЕ любовний трикутник. далі вже самі розберетеся в яку сторону тєрємки 😁

фінальний екшн моментами не без закочування очей, але ху кеерс. я просто чудово провела час з цією книгою 👏

загалом це свого роду лайтовий дарк за рахунок гарної концентрації гумору, а вбивства, перестрілки і ще трішки вбивств додається, як і тригерів, але без надмірної деталізації. драмою і склом нагодували, тому я задоволена 😋
успішне знайомство з авторкою, і тепер хочеться читати наступні її книги. в цій історії вже багато кого зустріла, про кого вже є, або буде своя власна книга. і усі ці перси капець інтригують 🍿😎

Елла - письменниця, донька шефа поліції, хоробра, смішна, помішана на червоних ручках і любить поговорити з розумною людиною 😅
Ашер - блондинчик, хороший брат 🥰 зробить файний масаж шиї 🥲
Гейбл - чорнявий, любить тишу, чистоту і дуже не любить Еллу 😉

Окрема любов - це діалоги Ашера і Гейбла 🙌 Їх хочеться вирізати й у рамочку поставити 😅

«Він витріщається на мене, роззявивши рота. — Ти її трахнув.
Я фиркаю. — Ні.
Він хапає мою руку й нюхає мої пальці. — Піхва! — Він хапається за мій ремінь, а я вириваюся. — Якщо твій член мокрий, Ашер Флінн, я і тебе пристрелю!»

«— Ти вриваєшся до мене додому, щоб поговорити про роботу? Ти що, лузер? — Гейбл кладе всю долоню мені на обличчя, змушуючи замовкнути. — Чого від тебе кицькою смердить? — питаю я, відштовхуючи його руку. — Потім якось розкажу.»

Тут стільки добрячого гумору 😅 Багато перепалок, сарказму, стьобу 🙌

Рада, що є книжки і про них ❤️

Я на початку думала, що це буде як “Згасне світло”, але ні - це краще.

І не гумором єдиним: приблизно на середині доведеться поплакати - буде боляче 💔

І яка тут любовна лінія, дівчата 😍 Воно вам треба.

Загалом це шикарний дарк ромком. Я з нетерпінням чекаю на продовження знайомства з авторкою 🙌

Яка хороша книжка.. 😍 Весь спектр емоцій запустила🫠
Тут стільки класного гумору.. З перших сторінок мені було легко і смішно.. Шкода, що про щасливу ручку потім всі забули)
А потім як понеслося 🙈 Твіст посередині книжки ввів мене в ступор.. Чесно кажучи, я до останньої сторінки не вірила 😎

Така ніжність, теплота та чутливість з Ашером.. 💞 Такі вони няшні пупсики, канєш 😍 Я б в нього також з перших хвилин закохалася..
Ну і за розвитком стосунків з Гейблом з самого знайомства було дуже цікаво спостерігати.. "Не що-кай мені, ти самовдоволений козел" 😁🤣 Всі ці їхні сварки, шкандальчики, ненависть (ага-ага) один до одного - клас.. Та і взагалі, гумор у авторки чудовий 🤭😍
Ну а потім як понеслося.. Вже і серце ставало, і плакала, і розчулювалася 😁🥹🥲
Другорядні персонажі також всі дуже цікаві) Монті - це щось 🤭 "Може, він і твій тато, але скоро він буде моїм татком" .. хєхє.. гггг😎😆
Сподіваюся, що наступна книжка про неї.. Дамочка - дуже колоритна 😏
Хот сцени десь на 🌶️🌶️, але тут все органічно й так.. цікавий сюжет і чудова гра на моїх нещасних нервах 💔🤣

Скажу одне - вам воно треба!
Я довго сумнівалась, бо читаю доволі традиційні книжки, хоч і дарки. Чекала підступу, але були вже певні підозри. Історія просто неймовірна. Вона змусить вас і радіти, і сміятись вголос, і поплакати, і поплакати від щастя, а ще підозрювати всіх, будувати теорії, але все одно не вгадати.
Смачнющі герої🤌. Прописані та продумані. Лапуля Ашер, буркотун і мій герої (вибачте, але він вкрав моє серце ❣️) Гейбл, крута Елла і голос глузду Тодд 😅. А ще другорядні герої, що просто неймовірно класні: Монті, Гай і багато інших.
Їх взаємодія, діалоги це просто підпал 🔥

"Прекрасно. Двоє найманих вбивць, труп, детектив і донька шефа поліції — всі в одній кімнаті. Що може піти не так?"

Окреме місце тут звичайно гумору! Це було щось. Я ще стільки цитат собі не зберігала!

♥️ Любовна лінія цієї книжки розбила мені серце, а потім зібрала його в купу❤️‍🩹. Я розуміла, що має бути щось таке, але все одно було сумно 😢.
Проте потім, ми спостерігали за розгортанням неймовірних почуттів, що виросли і прошли шлях від ненависті до кохання.
Бонусний розділ, це окреме дякую авторці🫠🥵🌶.
Можливо, я трохи не зрозуміла фінал, оці многоходовочки Гая, відсутність реакції Елли, якось все швидко та без деталей. Але не буду докопуватись!
Книжка запалила, заінтригувала, тож тут точно ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Я дочитала книжку вночі і потім ще лежала і думала, як все тут закрутила авторка 🤯.

Я приєднуюсь до всіх попередників, що гумор дуже класний, лл теж (хоча в якийсь момент мені не хватало «укусів» між Гейблом і Еллою після першого секс-марафону, так сказати, на три розділи. Надто швидко вони відпустили свій сарказм і почали бути ванільними). Сюжет і твісти теж тримали увагу і до останнього не хотілось вірити до кого все сходиться. Я помічала акценти, які робила авторка при його появах, але те як хлопці постійно відгукувались про нього і як він себе вів з ними 💔. Дуже шкода Гейбла, що у нього залишилась тільки Елла. Насправді, мені навіть шкода Хантера, за те як з ним закінчили, було б цікаво поспостерігати за його стосунками з Монті, або з Гаєм, як з тестем. Мені трішки прикро, що його «злили» саме так.

Другорядні персонажі наскільки цікаві, що я реально хочу почитати про кожного з них, починаючи від Зета з Сайленс і закінчуючи пілотом-параноїком Ріком 🤭.

Ох, ну обʼєктивно можна і 3,5 ⭐️ поставити. Чис��о за гумор. Головна героїня прикольна і всі діалоги з її участю смішнючі. Але в історію кохання я не повірила. Ну не за такий проміжок часу і так прям до нестями😐 Незнаю… Наче і поганого про книгу нічого сказати, але вона мене не зачепила, від слова зовсім, я її 4 дні читала, бо треба , а не тому що хочеться. В настрій не попала, якщо коротко🤷‍♀️

Гумор шикарний🤌🏻 Герої головні і другорядні 🤌🏻 екшн у дусі Джона Уіка💪🏼 драма🥲 якої я не очікувала і в такій кількості! Любовна лінія🤌🏻🫠 ну мьод. Оце саме те від ненависті до кохання, яке я люблю🤌🏻 усе інше фі. А тут🫠🫠🫠

Це було шикарно, смішно, весело і цікаво. Брати-серійні вбивці ще ті красавчик, але ця Елла, що схиблена на всю голову зі своєю ручку ще та прикалістка. Немаю нічого проти Ашера, дуже добрий і милий персонаж, але ця ненависть Гейбла і Елли, як же я з них насмійялася, це сама головна цукерочка в книзі, певно лиш за це готова ставити п'ять зірочок 😂⭐
Все йшло прекрасно поки не той момент, що розбиває сердечко, такого я не очікувала, так шкода 🥺💔 Але я рада що далі все склалося так як треба. Хоча до останнього сумнівалася що Гейбл покохає Еллу, так вже вона його дратувала 😅 Цікаві другорядні персонажі, Монеті, Гай, Тодд (серйозно з цього я ржала в голос) 🤣
Але ще хочу виділити окремо Ашера і Гейбла, в яких життя було занадто важким, чого їм тільки не прийшлося пережити, і що зробило двох зовсім чужих людей, справжніми братами.
Від фіналу я в шоці, це було неочікувано, хто за всім тим стояв. Як би не бачила що в епілозі буде спайсі розділ, до останнього думала що тут буде без хе. Ох і потріпала ця книга мої вже давно розхитані нерви, посивіла ще більше ніж була до цього, але книга ахуєна.

Короче, ця книга просто підірвала мені мозок. Можливо, я й сама винна, бо спочатку очікувала трохи іншої динаміки. Але там відбулося стільки всього, що я навіть не знаю, як це нормально описати.

З першої ж зустрічі Елли з Гейбом я така: «Так, чорнявий хлопчик — це наш варіант». А потім з’являється Ашер, і він просто няшечка. Такий хороший, таке сонечко. Ще й глави від його імені, і ти вже думаєш: «Ого, як класно, у них усе складається, вони реально закохані».

І тут — бам. Просто тиша в голові. У мене реально не було слів. Я взагалі не очікувала такого повороту. Так, авторка додала драматизму через цю трагічну ситуацію, але описано це досить лайтово. Проте сам ефект несподіванки мене дуже сильно вразив. Я прям дуже розстроїлася.

А далі починається друга половина книги. зближення Гейбла з Еллою. І те, як їх об’єднує не лише пристрасть, а й спільна любов до важливої для них людини. Цей біль, який можуть зрозуміти тільки вони… І це вийшло настільки чуттєво, що мене дуже зачепило.

Щоправда, далі сюжет трохи переходить у щось на кшталт «Джеймса Бонда»: постійний рух, якісь схеми, імена, дії, різкі повороти. Але мені сподобалося, що врешті герої змогли знайти хоча б якусь подобу спокою, радості й щастя після всіх цих втрат і пережитого.

Цю книгу я точно запам’ятаю.

Але… бонусний розділ наприкінці — це окрема тема. Це саме те, чого я частково очікувала від усієї історії. І через це дуже відчувається втрачений потенціал😁

I smashed this out in a day and struggled to put it down - if this doesn’t sum it up for all of you, then I’m not sure what will!

We meet Ella Gibson an Author who finds herself caught in the middle of an assassination ring thanks to her creepy neighbour, her lucky red pen and her unfortunate amount of sass that has her unable to be aware of her surroundings or who she may be in contact with. But what happens when she comes across the Flynn brothers who are trained assassins, what happens when one brother spends plenty of time with Ella while the other continues to despise her, and what happens when a bounty is placed on Ella’s head? Whose feelings will flare, who will get hurt and what ultimately will be the biggest price to pay?

I really loved this book. I laughed, I chewed my nails for a bit, I felt sad, I felt happy, I felt a little lost at some point because the book did NOT go where I thought it was heading which I am almost glad about! I loved the little twists in between and overall, I fucking loved Ella as an FMC! She is one bad ass bitch. I loved everyone in the story (apart from a couple, but if you read then you’ll know what I’m meaning 😉)

This was my first Kayla Kyng novel (and certainly not my last) and I was not disappointed at all. I felt there was character depth, I loved the back stories, although it was a little predictable towards the end I still absolutely ATE it up, I loved the character development, I loved the love, the spice and the drama.

If you are wanting an easy, quick paced and fun read then I highly suggest getting your butts over to KU and downloading this YESTERDAY.

ooh goodness, this book is a rollercoaster of a plot. it started off super funny and then led into a weird plot filler. the ending tied the whole book really nicely. there were times throughout the book, i wanted to dnf. i’m glad i pushed through, because the ending made me happy. i think maybe i would love the plot more if i read the trilogy that is interconnected with this book. overall, a pretty quick read!

Wow !
Saving Ella is a book that will have you laughing out loud one second while being on the verge of tears and edge of your seat the next. Ella is such a great FMC and so relatable it’s hilarious , Asher is the biggest walking green flag & a golden retriever ( minus the killer part , although for me that’s a bonus ) while Gable is broody , guarded and sarcastic yet secretly kind and loving ( also a killer ). I don’t know what type of drugs Kayla Kyng has put into this book ( & her other ones ) , but I know I need more of the Luxe Universe ASAP ! This book was an easy 5 ⭐️ for me , i felt so emotionally invested in all of the characters ( main & side ones ) that I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next. The twists were so brilliant and unexpected , that I didn’t see them coming at all. This book was better than what I could’ve ever imagined.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Saving Ella and I’m so glad I did , because I think Ive found my new favourite author.

This book had me going thru all the emotions....laughing out loud to yelling to crying to sweating.

we meet author Ella, who is currently writing her next great book and living in her besties apt, when her lucky pen decides it needed a plot twist and land on the balcony below. we then meet Asher and Gable, hit men extraordinaire, who are in Ellas downstairs neighbors apt when Ella comes barging in demanding her pen! Their job is done but there is smtg about Ella that had Asher take notice. Gable cant stand the lil firecracker and wants her gone. however their job isnt done yet....they get a notice that Ella is the next target. Asher needs to protect Ella. but when other hitmen come for Ella while Gable grumbles. all bets are off. things are not what they seem and Ellas life is going to get even more complicated. what's the worst thing that can happen?

Drama, deceit, OMG moments and wanting to throat punch a few characters makes this a great read. It keeps you sitting on the edge of your chair anticipating what happens next.

Catch feelings - Survive chapter 21

First time reading this author, loved, LOVED, L.O.V.E.D. the book!
I highlighted quotes, SO MANY quotes, the writing was just that *chef's kiss*.

But chapter 21 nearly broke me... 💔

I genuinely felt the full A–Z of emotions while reading this — tension, fear, laughter, longing, heartbreak, hope.

The dynamic between the brothers adds an extra layer of complexity, and the moral conflict running beneath the romance keeps the stakes high throughout.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Gable’s dog, Motor — who completely stole my heart and provided some of the most grounding moments in the story.

Saving Ella is passionate, suspenseful, and emotionally layered. If you enjoy romantic suspense with morally grey MMCs, found-family bonds, and high emotional stakes, this one is worth the ride.

I picked this up expecting chaos, banter, and danger… and ended up getting a full emotional rollercoaster. We meet Ella, an author who accidentally crashes into a world she definitely didn’t sign up for… and enter Asher & Gable, two morally grey men with very different vibes but equally dangerous energy.

Ella is the kind of FMC you can’t help but root for, witty, stubborn, creative, and way stronger than she realizes. And Asher and Gable, the contrast between them is chef’s kiss. The tension, the banter, the protective energy, the moral grayness… it all just works. What I loved most is how this story balances sharp humour with genuine suspense. Every time I thought I had the plot figured out, it said nope and pulled me right back in.

I'm absolutely speechless. This was such a wild ride. Totally wasn't what I anticipated going in, but in the absolute best way!
The writing style was phenomenal and really drew me in. I laughed. I cried. I wiggled my feet gleefully. I had my heart broken. And fixed. And broken again.

The book simply is a masterpiece and I would give it 10 stars if I could.
This will be one of the few books I'll truly remember every line for a long time if not forever.

My goodness I absolutely loved this book, I also love that she’s a writer I’ve never read a book before where the main character has this hobby. Also Gable I love his how hot headed he is. This book took me on a rollercoaster but a great one definitely recommend if you love a good enemies to lovers and next door neighbour trope.

4.25 Stars - Well this was not what I was expecting. In an emotional and good way. When I thought I knew where the story was going, the book said, Haha! JK! I don't even know what to say other than, you have to read it yourself. IYKYK. It will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

This book completely broke and healed my soul.
The way it’s written is BEAUTIFUL—I fell completely in love with it.
It has the perfect balance of everything: love, pain, sadness, joy, and, of course, violence.
I went in blind, and it was one of the best decisions because I fully enjoyed discovering what kind of story it was, as well as the plot twists (which, it’s worth mentioning, I NEVER saw coming).

Teeny tiny spoiler - a character dies early on and I was NOT expecting it at all and it made me angry hence the 4 starts instead of 5 👀😝 however… as heartbreaking as it was, it made the storyline even more exciting and touching!

FMC - Ella, detective’s daughter
Our two MMCs - Asher & Gable, brothers who grew up in foster care, now bounty hunters and hired assasins

Ella lives in a block of flats. She has a nerdy, slightly creepy, indefinitely annoying and can’t take no for an answer neighbour - Barnaby - who lives on the floor below.

Ella is also a writer. With a love for gore, romance and all things spicy. But she has a special pen. A pen she writes with. It gives her inspiration. Encourages her imagination to run wild. She feels lost without this pen. One day she accidentally misplaces her special writing pen and finds it sitting on the floor of Barnaby’s balcony after dropping it.

Ella takes it upon herself to head downstairs to retrieve her pen, but Barnaby doesn’t answer. But this is strange because Banarby doesn’t socialise. He never leaves his appartment…

Unknown bounty hunter (at the time) Gable answers. He’s stand off ish. He’s guarded. Doesn’t have the time for Ella’s interuption AT ALL. Ella is firce, stubborn. She NEEDS her pen. So what does Ella do? She full on barges in, without a care in the worls for Gable and the fact he’s already losing his temper with her. But it’s okay because she gets her pen 🥰

Barnaby is nowhere to be seen… Ella is greeted by Gable’s dog - Motor. Moto has bloody paws…
Next thing we know, Asher comes out, his arm cut on glass, which explains the blood, at least, some of it 👀

Ella gets caught up in Asher and Gable’s vigilante antics. Romances spark… Barnaby is out of town so Asher and Gable hold the place down for him….

Two bounty hunter brothers, one girl, empty apartments…

What could go wrong 👀

Such a GREAT storyline! I adored absolutely all the characters (bar a few 👀)

First time reading Kayla Kyng, and you can bet I’ll be straight onto Loving Guy after that ending 🤩🤯
