What happens when grief has wrought its course? What becomes of someone, when there is nothing left to mourn? Dani has always been one step ahead, fueled by more than the promises made to her father. But now she faces a new foe, one stronger than she could have ever imagined.

I finished Silencer desperate for the next book and Wrath did not disappoint (and now I’m also desperate again for the next one)! My emotional connection with the Dani and the main characters deepened and expanded in this sequel. I also can’t get enough of my favorite cloud. I had tears of grief, rage, love, and hope. The world building continues to be phenomenal (complex but not confusing) and I loved being immersed in it. Beautifully written. So thankful to have been an ARC reader and I can’t wait to read what comes next! I’m sure it’ll tear me apart in the best way possible.

This book! I loved Silencer and this book knocked it right off of the pedestal I put it on. We got so much more of Dani’s story and Calet’s (Nihil & Asmund too). There’s such good banter and great supporting characters here but oh does your heart get ripped to shreds by all the trials and tribulations the mains go through. I sobbed at so many points in this book, I raged at many points in this book, but I also laughed too. Cloud horse might be my absolute favorite 🤣 the writing is so well done that you somehow manage to connect with a goddess, a witch, a warrior, and many others… you truly care for them and can feel what they’re feeling. The world building is fantastic, the lore is superb. The burn… is slower than molasses but the angst is worth it. There are so many layers to peel back and your heart strings will be pulled and manipulated by Kathleen like the strings of fate are by the gods and goddesses in this story. Every time you think you have figured something out or you can breathe a sigh of relief bc that thing is solved, no you didn’t; no you can’t. But the writing is so well done and you’re so absorbed in the lore and tale that you’re famished for more at every page turn. The story isn’t over for our heroes, we don’t know how it ends, but I’m enjoying every single step of this ride so far. I was lucky enough to ARC read Wrath and Dani is absolutely coming to burn it to ash and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I had the absolute privilege of reading Wrath as an ARC reader - and let me tell you this book was INCREDIBLE! I found Kathleen earlier this year through TikTok and devoured her book, Silencer, which was one of my first 5 ⭐️ reads of 2025! Wrath is the sequel in the series and it did not disappoint!

The world building went to another level in this book! I adored the quests and found family elements. This book will make you laugh, cry and be reeling from all of the emotions! The style in the storytelling is engaging and leaves you on the edge of your seat.

The character’s development, trials and errors make for a vibrant novel and it creates a sense of belonging. Buckle up for a wild ride full of fantasy, romance, epic quests and found family elements! She really knocked one out of the park so far! 💯 recommend to all fantasy loving and trial/quest loving people… def one that could go to cinema!

Wow. What a great second book. Honestly I think it might be better than the first one which rarely I feel happens. I was all over with my emotions on this one. I didn’t know what was coming next and didn’t know if I was gonna laugh at the snark and wit or cry over something that had happened or was happening to the four of them. Overall another great book I highly recommend it. Check your trigger warnings as there is some stuff that can be hard to read.

Wrath is an amazing follow up, Kathleen taking us on an intense, powerful journey. One filled with everything from action to suspense, twists to snarky dialog. There are moments when you’ll be shocked, others that will have you in awe of the scene you are in. This is a well done addition to this series, buckle up and hang on!

While I write this review I need you to know I am saying it with my whole chest.. THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ. It's been a whole week since I finished the book and I still have not been able to start another book yet, I just keep thinking about Wrath!

I can't even tell you if I loved Silencer Or Wrath more because I love them both so much for different reasons!
But what I can tell you is that Kathleen continued Dani's story beautifully and you can tell she truly put so much of herself, her heart and impeccably thought out symbolism into writing this book and series, I appreciated every single detail!!

I am so fricken excited for more readers to discover her writing and fall in love and break with her characters as much as I have. Book 3 will be an immediate buy!

Wrath is raw and heartbreaking, dark and beautiful, poetic even! I found myself in awe, in tears, laughing, and thanking the bookstagram gods that I found an author who writes strong broken women so beautifully! I cried for the FMC and myself multiple times during this book! Dani's story is both tragic and beautiful, but also empowering! I found/seen myself in her multiple times within the pages of this book with the themes that are represented. Dani helped heal a few fractures and even helped me forgive myself a little bit for my past and what I had to do or not to to survive. She is truly my favorite character I have ever met in a book and Kathleen is a MUST read author!

I have only had two books makes me scared to continue reading because I was terrified of what would happen next and this is one of them! No spoilers from me though, you need to go in blind like I did and enjoy the ride!

I need this series to be on every TBR, on every shelf, in every bookstore! It is truly that good!!
I can't even begin how much I love the MMC, Nihil, and why or else I'll be writing a book here telling you about how much I love the book. I just need you to trust a fellow fantasy reader and read it!

Best book in the fantasy genre I’ve read since The Wise Man’s Fear. A total emotional roller coaster in which you will never know how Kathleen Rae Will rip your heart out next. The author has a mastery of both fantasy and romance and intertwines them perfectly without leaning to heavily on romantic tropes to advance the plot. I can’t recommend Wrath and the previous installment, Silencer, enough.
