I listened to the audio version of this book. I was surprised how good this one was. It does have a slow start, but once it gets going, IT GETS GOING!
We have two characters who meet on a trip with lots of other people. The trip is for a sports team and our MFC is there because her BF sells drugs. Our MMC is there because he's on the team. After a few drinks and some drugs, both characters can't seem to remember that night and wake up from their own point of view.
Our MFC's BF gets got from owing too much money to the wrong people and our MMC doesn't know why but he chooses to help her with the situation. Soon they realize they share paranormal traits and discover they can communicate telepathically. After the initial shock of this realization wears, they team up and cause all sorts of chaos with their new powers. This unfortunately draws the attention of a secret society they didn't even know existed.
It became a thrilling, dark romance with high stakes and believable, modern, human natured struggles. That ending was pretty crazy too. I don't know if this book will get a sequel but I sure hope it does.

I seriously couldn’t put this book down! There’s a perfect balance of plot and romance, I really enjoyed the honesty in the writing of the romance scenes. The author included the funny little fumbles and embarrassing moments that can happen during *romantic scenes*. I think it really added to the overall vibe of this being an URBAN fantasy. The unique magic system rooted in astrology was so interesting! As someone who enjoys astrology, I appreciate the research done to understand the different signs and what “abilities they might have. I can’t recommend this dark fantasy enough! And I already preordered book 2!

What if instead of your horoscope sign determining your personality, it defined your powers? The author takes the broad topic of astrology and makes it palatable for readers in such a creative way that I found myself able to follow along without getting lost in the plot.
One thing I love is that Piper is a strong FMC, and meeting Trey doesn't soften her but makes her stronger, mentally and physically. Both Piper and Trey are successful people separately, thrown into a hidden society of the supernatural that they have to navigate together. Their relationship is tender yet exciting, and you will not be deprived of spice in this book! The second half of the book definitely picks up on the pace and the ending will leave you with your jaw dropped.
If there was anything I had to pick bones about, it would be I found myself wishing there was a little less internal dialogue from the characters. As readers, we often know that the characters are falling in love before they do, meaning we don't need the characters telling us.
As someone who typically doesn't reach for urban fantasy, I found myself enjoying Gemini Gemini so much more than expected. If you're looking to dive more into fantasy without being overwhelmed, I would definitely recommend this book! I can't wait until the next installment!

This book gave me a whole lot while also not giving me nothing at all.
I was not a fan of the tense it was written in. The spicy scenes were kind of realistic in terms of describing clumsy moments during intercourse but I do not know of many readers who want to read about that, versus their normal escapism. A lot of the language used during these scenes too just felt too casual versus how many popular authors write their spicy scenes. Using a phrase like “bricked up” isn’t as commonly known as the author may assume.
There are also many physical descriptions of women, but not a lot about men. This gives the book a slight misogynistic edge considering the author (who is male) writes from a male and female perspective.
The dialogue is juvenile, at best and I did not feel like I was reading characters who were in their late 20s. I didn’t feel much emotional attachment to any of these characters either.

This book is very engaging and well-written. Since I started, I haven't been able to put it down. It hooked me from the beginning. Don't miss out on this exciting new series!

I’d give this about 2.5 stars rounded up. I think this book has good bones and a lot of potential. (Spoilers ahead but not really that relevant to the storyline)
A friend of the author gave it to me because I’m a big fantasy reader, and I was excited to dive in. Early on, I struggled a bit because there wasn’t a lot of strong character development. Many of the side characters felt more distracting than supportive of the main storyline, and moments that seemed like they should carry emotional weight—like the random murders or the dead boyfriend—didn’t really linger long enough for the reader to process them. The lack of guilt or reflection from the main characters made it harder for me to understand who they really were and felt a little unrealistic for people who aren’t sociopaths.
Because of that, I also never fully formed an attachment to any of the characters, which is unusual for me with fantasy. I think spending more time developing the characters and their relationships would really strengthen the story. Along similar lines, passion and chemistry are often a big part of fantasy romances, and the intimate scenes here fell a little flat for me.
That said, as the book progressed, I did start to see more of Piper’s personality come through. She begins to grow into the kind of strong, badass female lead that fantasy readers love. She may not be fully there yet, but you can see the trajectory.
I also appreciated the astrology element—it felt different from many fantasy systems and made the story less predictable. While the plot isn’t fully clear yet, that unpredictability did keep things interesting.
The ending was strong enough that I’d probably pick up book two to see where the story goes. Overall, it’s an easy read, and for a debut there’s definitely promise here. With deeper character development and a bit more emotional grounding, future books could shine.

A Captivating Leap Outside My Comfort Zone
I don’t typically reach for fantasy novels, but I am so glad I made an exception for this one. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was sucked into the world E.C. Jameson has created. It was a true page-turner; I found it nearly impossible to put down and ended up racing through the entire story in just two days.
One of the highlights of this book is the narrative structure. It is told from the perspectives of both main characters, which added a wonderful layer of depth to the story. Getting to know both of them intimately—their motivations, their fears, and their individual voices—made the journey feel much more personal and engaging.
The world-building and descriptions are exceptionally vivid. As I read, I could see every scene playing out in my mind with the clarity of a movie. The author has a gift for visual storytelling that makes the fantasy elements feel grounded and real.
If you are looking for a story that will keep you up late and make you lose track of time, this is it. Even if you aren't a traditional "fantasy person," the character development and breakneck pacing make this a must-read. I am looking forward for the sequel!

On a camping trip, Piper is introduced to Trey, a semi-professional soccer player. After their first meeting a string of strange occurrences and situations that push Trey and Piper together, they find that they are more than what they seem. Follow along their story as they discover who they are and how they navigate the new world their thrown into.
I enjoyed reading and getting to know Piper and Trey and the journey that one night's actions thrust them into. While the plot and intrigue of Gemini Gemini was entertaining, I personally struggled to fully connect with the characters. Overall writing was pretty good with a nice pace and well-developed plot. I didn’t love this book. I really wanted to. It was such a great story and the male lead had a lot of interesting depth. I couldn’t get past the jarring perspective and timeline jumps. The female lead was flat cold and uninteresting. Their first sexual encounter wasn’t even in the book except a slight description as a memory then when they actually get together the author just skips over it as if we are supposed to just know it happened. I even double checked my kindle download do be sure I wasn’t missing a chapter or something it was that weird. So annoying. All the sex scenes were just off clumsy and lacking intimacy. They have a telepathic connection and they don’t even use it during sex or even explore it much at all. Even with all that there was enough there to keep me hopeful it would get better but it never did. The last chapter was the worst. It was rushed and out of character for both leads. The disappointing cliffhanger was just the rotten cherry on top. Nothing was explained and I was left with flat characters that I didn’t even care about.

I received this book as an arc for my honest review. I am not going to lie. At first I really enjoyed this book. I was wholly wrapped up in the chaos and drama that was Piper and Trey. I got about halfway through the book and that is where things started going downhill for me. I got very confused about the back and forth with the relationship and majority of the time it didn’t click or feel authentic. It felt like instalust and the telepathy was at times very confusing to follow. I felt like this book has amazing bones and it just felt like too much was trying to be shoved in. Between the murders, the robbery, telepathy, gifted people vs sleepers, building their business, their relationship, them being on the same team and opposite teams as well. I just got lost in the second half of the book. I felt like after the 3rd murder that is where things started to get lost and confusing. The ending was amazing and it will be a great way to tie in a second book to see what happens to Trey.
Overall I would give it 3/5 I enjoyed it and might even continue on with the next book.

I started this book on a Saturday morning and finished it by the afternoon. I was hooked in the first 30 pages and found the idea of astrology and super powers enjoyable. The story was easy to follow, with the exception of tracking the various astrological signs with the accompanying super powers. However, the author makes it clear this is the first book in a series, so I do not have an issue with this as I expect the series to provide more clarity on this topic.
The writing was descriptive and painted a picture as I read. At first, it’s believed the Kindred are the “good guys” and the Eighth House are the “bad guys”. But by the end of the book the reader is left not knowing which side to choose. It’s fascinating and leaves the reader wanting more; which is a salute to the author as he sets up the series.
Would recommend for an easy, entertaining read that transports you to another world for an afternoon.

Amazing! So I just finished the audio version of this book. I went to buy the second book in the series it was so good. Unfortunately I have to wait a couple months for the next one to be released. For the audiobook part, the voices chosen are great. They have a male and female voice actor. Their tones and pace are good. They are pleasant to listen to. Now onto the story itself. It keeps you on your toes, with adventure, or misadventures. There is spicy parts but it’s not non stop. You actually get to enjoy a story line. Out of the books I have read lately I would highly recommend this one. For anyone that likes adventure, fantasy, and romance. I will say it was written in third person point of view. Which in the beginning I found annoying. However I quickly adjusted to it as the story went on.

Between the clumsy spicy scenes and a writing style that felt a bit young for the age of the protagonists, it was difficult to stay fully immersed. I also found the disparity in how men and women were described to be a bit off-putting. Narrators Maeve York and Walker Williams both did a great job with the performance, but unfortunately, I just couldn’t connect with the characters themselves. That said, the story finds its footing in the second half as Piper develops more personality, and the cliffhanger was effective enough to make me curious about where the sequel goes.

I liked this book more than I expected to, and genuinely felt a need to keep reading to figure out what would happen next. Piper and Trey each frustrated me at times, but I couldn’t help but be drawn in to their story and rooting for their success and safety in what seems to be an increasingly dangerous world for them. I had to go back at times with pen and paper to keep track of all the clues and secrets I was piecing together in this surprisingly new take on astrology-driven fantasy. The ending left me reeling and needing book two right away. I can’t wait for the rest of this series!

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review and here it goes. It had a strong start, the first 100 pages I was hooked. I enjoyed seeing Piper and Trey and how their lives intersected and then somehow became one and the drama that ensued and all the fun. And then it just got difficult to follow. There is great structure for a good story but I felt like there was so much thrown in that you never got a good direction on what the point of the story was. The timeline was difficult to follow and knowing who was talking when with the telepathy was hard too. It was interesting at times but hard to follow and stay invested by the end.

I picked this book up because I am a Gemini and I’m a sucker for Gemini main characters. Which I liked the main characters enough, but I still feel like I’m missing something that makes me love them. I also had a hard time following the story at times, the duel POV is fine, but I lost aspect of the timeline. It’s narrated in present tense, but within a paragraph we are fast forwarded by a few weeks, and then transported back a few weeks to see the other POV. Spice was meh, at best.
Overall, the plot had some bones, the ending was strong. I’d give the second book a chance with the hopes things get ironed out a bit.

I listened to the audiobook version of this one, and overall it was a good read. It did take me a minute to get into it, but once it hooked me? Yeah, I was locked in and not going anywhere.
There is SO much going on in this story. Every time I thought I had it figured out, the book was like “that’s cute, try again” and sent me spiraling in a completely different direction. The twists just kept coming and I was along for the chaotic ride.
And that ending?? RUDE. I knew there was a cliffhanger. I prepared myself for a cliffhanger. I was NOT prepared for THAT cliffhanger. I did not see it coming and now I’m sitting here like… excuse me?? I need answers immediately.

I received a free audiobook to review for the author, but my opinions are my own. This book took me on a journey. It honestly felt like two wildly different stories with different plots and unfortunately they merged haphazardly. We don't start to understand or dive into the fantasy aspect of the book until about 60% in. Which, for me was disappointing as I found that aspect the most interesting. I had a hard time connecting with the character's personality types, however the audio narrators did an amazing job bringing them to life and providing them more depth. Ultimately this was not the book for me, however if you enjoy fast paced action in your stories this might be the one for you!

I need book two!
Like any good series, book one starts with a lot of world building and character development. I believe E.C. Jameson did a fantastic job with this. In this world, special people have gifts that are determined by their star signs. The two main characters (Geminis, as indicated by the title) develop their gifts after meeting during a vacation glamping trip with friends.
Chaos ensues afterward, and they are thrown into a world with two competing factions. In book one it's still unclear who is good vs. evil. It does end on a cliffhanger that had me throwing my kindle across the room.
I finished this book in less than 24 hours. Couldn't put it down.

Easy to read and fast paced! I read this book in two days. Piper, the FMC, is likable, and at the beginning, vulnerable. She grows as more challenges come her way. Her meeting the MMC is momentous and leads to serious commitments and crazy adventures. The adventures become more and more difficult. They encounter two secret organizations that put them in precarious positions, and that separate the twins to a degree. Can't wait for the second book!

Gemini Gemini was such a fun and addictive read. I really loved the mix of fantasy, astrology, and romance. It felt fresh compared to a lot of the fantasy romance books out there right now.
The mystery around Piper and Trey’s connection definitely kept me hooked, even if their dynamic felt a little too intense at times. It came across more unhealthily codependent than alluring for me, but I’m curious if that’s intentional and will be an additional twist later on in the series.
The secret societies, zodiac powers, and constant “who can you trust?” tension made it really easy to keep turning the pages. The ending absolutely leaves you wanting the next book straight away, which is always a good sign.
If you are looking for a palate cleanser this paranormal romance with suspense, a sprinkle of spice, and a unique astrology twist would probably be a good fit.

I read this book in three days because I could not put it down. The characters and storyline kept me guessing through each chapter. A lot of hints/clues to things coming in the series which had me invested from the start. Great read for anyone looking for a romance/fantasy book with a little humor thrown in along the way. I received an advanced copy of this book. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it because it isn't my normal genre. But, I couldn't put it down. As the relationship between the two main characters grows, each becomes stronger in so many ways. The moral struggle to determine which side Trey and Piper should align with made the book hard to put down. I can't wait to read the next book.

The storyline and premise of the story is phenomenal. I liked Trey and Piper, but a lot of their reactions didn't jive and they were so casual about her boyfriend being murdered... something just felt off to me for most of the book. The story has a lot of potential, the characters just felt very one-dimensional.

Absolutely loved this read. I had been looking for another series to start, and was recommended highly by friends. Blown away - pacing, tension and characters had me hooked from the start.
