I loved my firebird very much, didn’t want to be without him and wanted to wake up next to him each morning for the rest of forever, but when he was trying to be mean like this, albeit lovingly mean, I wanted to pinch him.
In Soyer, Amory has found something he didn’t even know he wanted. He’s beginning to understand what love means, and how deep his feelings for Soyer run.
After Soyer saved him from the witch, Amory scares easily, even if there isn’t much to be afraid of in their shared life of domestic bliss and running the Moonlight Diner. Yet, things always change, and Amory has to learn how to adapt.
But the past won’t leave Soyer, Amory, and their found family alone quite yet, and for phoenix lovers such as these two, there is no stepping back, no pulling apart. If they don’t have each other, they have nothing.

Gosh I just know I'm going to be thinking about these two for some time now that I know this is their end for awhile. If only I could have married a man like Soyer. He lives to make Amory's life as easy and pleasurable as possible. That's literally his chosen purpose and it brings him just as much happiness. And a touch of frustration when he doesn't get his way.
The Harvest Celebration was a huge favorite. It was so fun having all those characters mingling together. And I also know it was a sort of healing experience for Amory. I'm so glad he has Soyer and all his friends in his life to cherish him. Oh, and make sure you translate the French for a good chuckle.
I am so happy the climax ended the way it did because I was so done with that asshat bothering our favorite couple. I was surprised about who Echo turned out to be and I would be interested in his book if Piper were keen to write it. I'm still hoping for Ben too, and I know I'm prepared to wait. If you've read the Clair de la Lune series, then you may also appreciate the subtle nods which made me smile every time. Soyer and Amory are just that kind of couple.
Moonlight Hearts is the 4th book in the Phoenix Immortal series. This series is best read in order. We are back with Soyer and Amory for more adventures. I loved this story so much. Soyer and Amory are becoming one of my favorite couples that Alexa Piper has created. It's wonderful watching these two's relationship grow and change. I also loved the other characters. I loved the Moonlight Diner found family that has been created. We still get some action and drama to keep everything interesting. I can't wait for more from this world. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
I love reading about Soyer and Amory. It is great to see how Amory is coming out of his shell more with Soyer’s love. We get to see more of the Moonlight Diner personnel and Soyer also introduced Amory to an underground world filled with supernaturals. Great found family feels and here is hoping we get more of these two.
Okay, I love Alexa's writing, so it's no surprise that I love this series. However, I'll be honest, Soyer and Amory really do hold a special place in my heart. Maybe it's the way Soyer has been able to find a softer edge to himself through Amory. Seeing him find happiness and love in a way that helps make him whole. Maybe it's seeing Amory, who had been so alone and so closed off and unsure of himself, find a confidence in himself under Soyer's adoration and endless love. Seeing Amory become so confident not just in himself but in the fact that he had people (not just Soyer) but other people who cared, loved him and would fight beside him. I've always loved books that highlight the importance and amazing thing that community and family (whether blood or not) can be. This book does it in such a beautiful way. It's so organic and well done that it doesn't feel demonstrative; it feels natural to who these characters are. I would happily read this series forever because of that. There are so many amazing characters who add to the story as a whole. It's not just Amory and Soyer who make it amazing (even though I ADORE them), it's everyone. It's seeing what trouble Elias is trying to start and the community that is the Moonlight Diner. It just all adds up to this wonderful world that you really don't want to leave. I hope that we get to come back to this world and these characters often in the future, but even if we don't, I know this will be a constant reread series for me no matter what.
I have been a part of the Moonlight diner world since the beginning. While I hate to see Amory and Soyer’s story wrap up, this was perfect. Outside the diner, it’s still that austere Hopper world, but inside, Piper has Amory such a lovely family that grows through this journey. We see how far our two have come, much more on an equal footing. Love the Friendsgiving, the watch, but I need to know about the secret chat group. Oh, and that really bad man from the first book and the really bad person from Soyer’s past, excellent comeuppance. And please, our dear Alexa, we need Ben and the writer’s story and maybe the reader to get their own HEA!
I can't get enough of Soyer and Amory. I loved seeing the relationship deepen and them doing normal, domestic activities like going shopping, buying ice cream and hosting a Friendsgiving dinner. This made the couple feel even more real and 3-dimentional.
I also enjoyed interacting with all Amory's co-workers. Really nice how they rearranged the diner's schedule so they could welcome the paranormal community as well as humans. I really want to visit the underground and even take a ride on the Small Express.
There is a definite ending in this book but as usual, I'm still craving these guys.
I am so stoked to be back in this wonderful, magical, and beautiful universe of Phoenix Immortal. I loved seeing Amory and Soyer’s relationship flourish and thrive. Their moments together just make me happy. They are each other’s heart's duet. This author, I feel, has such talent with words. This was so lovely to see the Moonlight Diner gang, such a wonderful found family. Page turner for me, and these two are my absolute favorite couple from this author!
I find this Moonlight Diner setting so cozy yet very magical. Amory is coming out of his shell more and starting to really be able be to enjoy his surroundings now that he has Soyer by his side. Soyer has experienced so much personal change, and it was fun and exciting to see his new side. They are such a wonderful couple in a creative little world of their own.
Heartwarming finish to one of my favorite series. Even though I'll miss Soyer and Amory, I loved seeing how they grew closer to each other and their found family (the unexpected uncles were fantastic!)
I love Amory and Soyer. As the 4th installment, this isn't my favorite, but I loved seeing Amory come more into himself and settle into his relationships outside of Soyer too. Elias is a gem, and I think he and Amory could take over the world together!
We're back with Soyer and Amory for more action and adventures. I love the personal and relationship growth for both of them. They have a wonderful found family as well.
