When I found out that Silvia Moreno-Garcia had written a short story for Cthulhurotica, I went in search of it immediately. I can safely say this is *exactly* what I should have expected for Cthulhu crossed with er0t1ca in the style of SMG. It's not sexy, it's a mind warp, it's a bit horrifying....and I'm not going to stop thinking about it for a while. I'll probably think about it anytime I see something yellow. Or hear yellow.

If you enjoy SMG's style of writing and if you love speculative short fiction, I highly recommend tracking this down. I found it in an anthology called The Book of Cthulhu, which is on KU and in the Audible Plus library. After reading this, I Plan to read more of her massive short story backlist!

I can see the bones of Silver Nitrate through this short story.

The 70s were a weird time...

Strange story... but definitely doesn't make me like the color yellow any more.

Not bad for a short story, though had some odd themes. Quite cool to notice the foundations of Silver Nitrate within
