The Morelli men don't fall. They only claim. They stalk. They devour... It's a curse that runs through their veins.
Cassian spent his whole life waiting to see if the family legend was real—and then I stepped onto his stage and proved it was.
I'm just a stripper in his club. But the moment he saw me, something inside him rewired.
Then came the fixation. The possessiveness.
He’ll stop at nothing to cage me. To make sure I’m his in every way a woman can be owned. It’s obsession in its rawest form. Cassian doesn’t just want my heart—he wants my entire existence wrapped around his.
The second standalone dark romance novella in the Morelli Brothers series, where each brother is more unhinged, more addicted, and more obsessed than the one before.
3.5 i think i like this book the most in the series. Cassian wasn't a dick like his brothers and there was also no OW. Cassian was the most obsessed among his brothers IMO, he didn’t go through all that " love isn't for me BS so i'll treat her like crap" like Lucien and Enzo did.
and I really liked Anya too she was funny.
My favorite part in the entire book was when she was going to his office to confront him about a sex tape that was leaked, and she hears him having sex with another woman. But when she runs away, she bumps into him in the hallway, she gets confused and wonders how he got here 😂😂😂 so when she tells him what she heard in his office, he tells her that it's probably his brother Enzo with Mila “Well, there’s a couple fucking in your office right now,” I say weakly. He rubs the bridge of his nose with two fingers. “It’s my idiot brother,” he mutters.
safety: safe no cheating no owd omd : she's a stripper and gives lap dances so do with that as you will. personally it didn’t bother me and it does stop early on in the book
An absolute waste of time reading this, in what universe can a man go from Zero one glance to obsession, then lovebombing while demanding she agrees that she’s his . WTF teh only saving grace was its was only 200+ pages long, not even enough to understand a personality .
So I didn’t think I would read this after finding out the FMC is a stripper but it was short so I decided to read it anyway. I liked that her stripping wasn’t descriptive and we only see her on stage twice and both times she hates it. It also helped that even though cassian owns the strip club he never pays attention to the women on stage. He stays in his office most of the time.
I liked this one more than the last one. I actually adored Cassian. He’s unhinged in the best way. So obsessed. It’s touch her and die for him. His POV was so funny because he’s such an asshole to everyone but Anya. He’s like I hate animals but she loves pandas so he takes her to go see pandas. He hates shopping but he assumes since she’s a girl she loves it so he takes her. He tries to woo her even though he has no idea what he’s doing. It honestly cute.
Anya kind of annoyed me a little though because she fought their relationship to literally the very end of the book. I was like girl if you don’t want him I will happily take him off your hands! But it would have been nice to know what Anya looks like. All we know is what her body looks like but I couldn’t tell you what color hair she had or the color of her eyes.
I do wish this was a little longer with more detail but at least we have more scenes of them together which we didn’t have in the first book.
I’m definitely intrigued by Enzo’s book and will be reading it.
No cheating, she gives a lap dance and she guy pays for it with his life. No ow drama, she thinks he’s cheating but he would never!! No break up. No virgins. HEA.
6-7. The Morelli Brothers. His Little Muse. His Little Doll. His Little Angel by Tati Hayes (104, 95, 137)
genres: dark romance mafia romance
ranking: solidly good, nothing more, a dependable read 6.5/10
main emotion: Ridiculous
the first line:
7. “The bass thrumming through the walls is deep enough to make my ribs hum. ”
sum-up in one sentence: a nice palate cleanser
I am grateful to this series for ... proof, that people can change only if they want and only a tad.
this book has taught me ... love is hiding in small details, like the coffee made in the morning.
notes: this is a ridiculous enough series, too obsessed, too extreme
I love Aurora's feelings while dancing ballet, Anya's thoughts on stripping, and Mila's work ethic. Each girl is unique and intelligent. The men are driven, passionate and ready to beg and kill, not cute at all.
quotes
“She’s counting twenties with her longer-than-life acrylics.”
“Nobody’s hiring unless you’ve got a degree or no self-respect.”
“A man should be able to spend five minutes with the woman he’s obsessed with without worrying she’s going to stab him out of panic. Goddamn it.”
“Thanks so much for reading my silly little book! I hope it gave you a fun palette cleanser or some delicious brain rot—you deserve it. “
That’s the author note at the end of the book lmao so I appreciate a self aware author she knows it’s silly and unrealistic and have no depth and not trying to act like it’s the best book u will
she served what she promised a dark book only bc he killed someone and a lot of spice —which was mid and confusing However the book was way too shallow that u know nothing abt any character fr like idk what the fmc looks like only that she have a mole under her eyes and a scar on her ankle and a heart tattoo on her shoulder other than that? Left to the imagination
he is just lustful and doesn’t understand boundaries and doesn’t bother explaining anything like fr what did she know abt him? Or he know abt her?
So it’s only sex with attachment kinda relationship
This book was just bad. Badly written, badly paced, and completely empty.
There is no real plot. A man sees a stripper once and decides she’s going to be his forever—by force. That’s it. That’s the story. No buildup, no development, no tension.
The FMC’s reaction? Basically a shrug. Like, sure, why not. No internal struggle, no fear, no believable emotional response to what’s happening to her. The characters don’t feel like people; they feel like cardboard cutouts being shoved through scenes.
There’s no deeper meaning here. No exploration of power, control, or obsession. No suspense. No emotional arc. And definitely no story.
It’s short, but even at novella length, this wasn’t worth the time.
This is the second book after His Little Muse. The series follows each of the Moretti brothers, and this one focuses on Cassian and Anya—and damn, Cassian is the definition of unhinged 😭😭.
That man fully embraces his obsession, just like his father did with his mother, and he absolutely does not take no for an answer. He’s clearly even more unhinged than his brother Lucian, and I honestly loved that for him.
Now I’m really excited to read the last brother’s book—the one who’s still deep in denial 🤣🤣🤣.
“His Little Doll” is the story of Anya and Cassian.
Obsessed rich hero, heroine who is trying to make ends meet by stripping, him taking over her life and just loads of sex- interrupted by a small hiccup- then back to sex.
