Babyyyyy… Valentine’s with a Dom is SPIIICCCCCYYYYYYY!!! 🌶️🔥 From scene one, I was NOT prepared — like sit-up-straight, pause-and-process levels of heat. New kinks unlocked, edges snatched, expectations raised!

And let’s be clear: Merrick is STILL HIM 🗣‼️ The spice is layered on top of more spice, but what really got me is how there’s still a beautiful story woven through all the… extracurricular activities. It’s wild in the best way.

Nicki Grace really did her thing with this one. Another well-written, late-night, can’t-put-it-down type of read. If you know, you know — definitely a “read responsibly” situation 😏

Would I Recommend?:
Absolutely. If you like your romance bold, unapologetically kinky, and still packed with heart, this one delivers.

Valentine’s with a Dom was a fantastic novella continuation of Merrick and Jocelyn’s story — and I absolutely loved it! This little extension gave me everything I enjoy about their dynamic: their distinct personalities, the spicy, smutty scenes that make their chemistry electric, and the same humor that made their journey in His Mouthpiece so fun to read.

I loved that this follow-up didn’t just rehash what came before — it built on it. We got more depth into their connection, more banter, and more moments that reminded me exactly why I fell for these characters in the first place. The balance of passion and personality made the romance feel just as engaging here as it was in the full-length story — even in novella form.

The writing was tight, well-paced, and emotionally satisfying. I found myself smiling, blushing, and fully invested throughout every scene. It’s one of those novellas that leaves you feeling warm and happily complete rather than like you’re missing something.

If you loved Merrick and Jocelyn in His Mouthpiece, this is a must-read continuation — short but so sweet and spicy, and absolutely worth every minute.

Valentine’s with a Dom by Nicki Grace? Whew. Let’s just say Merrick did not come to play.

First of all, the release experience was elite. Nicki sent out special boxes with the book and little love notes from Merrick leading up to Valentine’s Day, and baby… the anticipation was real. It felt like we were all being courted right along with Jocelyn.

Now let’s talk about the heat. I already thought the Mouthpiece series was spicy, but this one? Five out of five on the smutometer. No debate. The chemistry between Merrick and Jocelyn was intense, magnetic, and intentional. What I loved most was how the roles blurred. Husband. Wife. Dom. The power dynamic never erased the love. It just deepened it.

It was steamy, yes. But it was also intimate, confident, and grown. If you like your romance with real connection and unapologetic spice, this one absolutely delivers.

Read responsibly… and maybe don’t start it if you have plans to be productive afterward.

Perfect Introduction to This Author’s World

Even though this is the third book in the series, it was my first time reading this author, and I thought it was a strong introduction to the world she’s created. I didn’t feel lost, and the dynamic was clear from the start.
The anticipation for what was going to happen next was playful and tense in a way that kept things interesting. The power exchange felt structured and intentional, not chaotic. It wasn’t overly explicit, but it still delivered heat and emotional intensity. I appreciated that balance.
This was an enjoyable read that made me curious about the rest of the series. A steady, positive three stars from me.

DELICIOUS!!! THIS BIOK IS LITERALLY EVERYTHING!!! Rather you are new to the BDSM world or you're a seasoned pro, this book satisfying both extremes and everyone in-between. It breaks down terms for the newcomers and a reminder of how communication and aftercare and check ins are as important as negotiations. Concent is consistent through out. So many pRts in this book from cover to cover turned me on and yet made me laugh!! Love this book. The Dom was on point. All the submissives where on point. The protrayle of the BDSM lifestyle and playtime was on point!!

This was a buddy read with my sister, and while I love reading together, this one just wasn’t for me. It’s definitely darker and more intense than what I typically enjoy, and I struggled to fully connect with the story and characters.

The writing itself wasn’t bad — it just didn’t align with my usual reading preferences. I found myself pushing through instead of being pulled in.

Not every book is going to be a hit, and that’s okay. I’m still glad we read it together — sometimes the experience is more about who you’re reading with than the book itself. 💕

This was a short and spicy 🌶 read! I loved it. A great palette cleanser after all the dark shit I've read recently! I loved the relationship between the dom/sub. being that they were husband and wife. If you enjoy erotica and spice, look no further! From the beginning to the last line is where pain, pleasure, and control intertwine. Joyceln and Merrick have a strong addition and desire for each other playing out their wildest fantasies. This is an intense and provocatively heavy read.
