so… the it gets good podcast (mainly micaela) is obsessed with f1. and they’re all hoping that this book about f1 racing is better than most. a lot of f1 books, mostly romance driven, are extremely unbelievable and it shows that the author doesn’t fully understand the world of racing all that well. i personally don’t know much about f1, but i am excited to try this book and hear what it gets good has to say about it. and maybe, just maybe, i’ll dabble into the f1 world.

This sadly cemented Hannah Grace as a hit or miss for me personally—and Champagne Problems was a miss.

The lack of forward plot movement and character development had this feeling like a bit of a too slow read for me, with the characters not nestling in deep enough for me to care. Add on a complete lack of any F1 content, a huge imbalance in whose POV we were getting (why do dual when you get only a few chapters of one MC?), and a this drop of a mystery that’s just used as a plot device and never explored/resolved (I’m looking at you, the reason Ivy’s working for the F1 team at all).

This did, however, give me the friendship and humor I was hoping for, with promise for some enjoyment for me for future novels in this series. Not to mention the Nate and Stassie cameos—I loved seeing them.
