I found this at Waterstones. I’ve not used Bradt guides before but this one is brilliant and so I will seek them out in future. I appreciated the coverage of Malaga’s museums and Nerja but also really valued this history of Andalusia set within the context of the region including North Africa and the development of Spain, plus sections on culture (architecture, literature, performance). It is a very handy compact size but it is, I believe, the only guide you would need for holiday in the area covered by the book. I have given it four starts because it doesn’t have any pictures except for the top-ten section at the beginning and a couple of monotone maps. I realise though, that it would be less compact if it were illustrated.
