Because of You is the third book in the Blue Harbor series and is set in the Fall in a quaint, picturesque lakeside town - the Harvest Fest is approaching, the store front window boxes are full of colorful mums, the maple trees’ leaves are falling, and the chill off the lake water is crisp. Maddie Conway, the youngest Conway sister, is busy preparing for the opening of her very own bakery. In between baking her famous apple pies, cider cookies, apple turnovers, coffee cakes and famous cinnamon rolls, Maddie is furiously choosing paint colors, appliances, and furniture and feeling a little overwhelmed until she lands the perfect contractor, Cole McCarthy. Though he was not her first choice (thanks Candy!) Maddie is quickly pleased with his work and grateful for the friendship they are forming. It is just friendship, right? Cole was always a broody guy with a troublemaker reputation in their small town, but Maddie wonders if there is more to the man that is slowly warming her heart and her days. People grow up and change and perhaps these two have more in common than either knew. As construction on Buttercream Bakery comes to an end, will it mark the end of a professional relationship or the beginning of a romantic one? I have to say that I loved reading this book. This book is part of the Blue Harbor series by Olivia Miles. In the story there is a woman named Maddie Conway.
Maddie has three successful sisters. Maddie decides that she wants to open her own bakery. Following in the footsteps of her sisters is a lot of pressure she feels. She allows her father’s girlfriend to suggest a contractor in town whose name is Cole. Cole has a reputation as the town’s bad boy.Cole knows his reputation in the town which is why he always thought of leaving town. He decides to take the job of working with Maddie. He starts wondering about friendship and maybe more with Maddie.
This was a great small town romance between Maddie and Cole. I really liked the moments between them. This book made me want to read more books by Olivia Miles.

Life and Love
All the Blue Harbor books are bite size treasures of love found. The recurring characters are people we have come to care about. For me, the characters of Maddie and Cole, especially Cole, needed more story to make their relationship believable. Cole's problems were deeply rooted in his sad childhood and his now dying mom. Those issues cannot be solved in a two or three week relationship for their love to be fully believable. Still, it was a very enjoyable read.

Fun and Romance Together Again
This book is Number 3 in Olivia Miles' Blue Harbor series. I enjoyed it as I did with books 1, 2 & 3 although I actually was not sure that I wanted to read it or get involved with this book's plot & characters as it just might be a rerun! However, I was pleasantly surprised to find this book, "Because of You" took a slightly more interesting turn with Maddie and Cole. 😊 Read it for yourself and be surprised as I was.

Sweet romance
I loved this whole series with her real relatable characters. Maddie &Cole in this story may well be my favorite.
Could have used a little longer ending to linger over their finally coming together

Maddie is finally following her dreams of opening a bakery. Her father’s girlfriend steps in to help by hiring her a contractor, the town bad boy. What follows is a delightful story of following dreams, opening one’s heart and overcoming the past, the love and support of family, and a heartwarming move to realizing that anything is possible. Great feel-good romance!

I really like this series. Love the characters and the plot of this book. I don't want to do a synopsis but will tell you to buy this series if you like a good, clean, happy stories. So looking forward to reading the next installment.
