December 1, 2025I have really big feelings because I didn’t realize this was just a short 75-page tease toward the next book (not out until MARCH) and ends on a CLIFFHANGER.
While I’ve loved the Walker University Stallions series and this “book” is the start to the next series (with some overlap), I’m turned off by this teaser that’s advertised like an actual story. I thought this was going to be a fun holiday novella, but it’s actually more like a 10 chapter prologue to the new series start. I feel deceived and don’t think I can give a fair rating.

Liam and Alie randomly met at a wedding in New York. They felt an instant connection and decided to go on a stroll along the streets of the city. They had a really great time doing some fun things on those streets filled with Christmas joy, but the tension kept on growing, until they gave into it. They initially didn't want to share their names but that changed after that one magical night together. But the morning came with big surprises and everything just fell apart.
I've learned in the end that this novella was, in fact, like a longer prologue for the next book of this series, which it's called "The Trade". I liked Liam and Alie's cute and fiery connection and how well they clicked. The ending was definitely really interesting, which left me super curious about this next book😍. I'm keeping my eyes on it, for sure!

Liam and our FMC are so dang fun together! Their nicknames, banter and how hopelessly down bad Liam is for our girl had me obsessed from the moment they laid eyes on each other.
They cap off their night with a spicy romp I'm still thinking about 2 days later. These two are deliciously naughty and I can't wait to get another taste!
Now the kicker.....THAT ENDING!! Holy cannoli, Ava! How am I supposed to wait until March for the rest of their story?!
Seriously though, the way Ava made us fall in love and be 1000% invested in these two in such a short span is remarkable and goes to show the talent this woman has!

I was so happy to see that Liam was getting his book and a Christmas novella at that...sign me up, yes please. But then it happened. It ended on a cliffhanger and I was so upset. I know his book is going to be killer though!

I was dancing in my seat when I saw this was Liam's book, but got upset when it was a cliffhanger. Yet, the whole time I was reading this novella I was thinking to myself that the author could do so many things with this story to turn it into an amazing full length book. Well, I guess she's going to and I'm not mad about it. Just that I have to wait till March!!
Liam Pitz is in NY city for a friend's wedding. This is past college and he's already been selected as New Orleans QB. So we've skipped a few years from Walker U and from Michigan where her transfers to.
The friends wedding he's attending is his old Michigan U roommate. They aren't close, but he wasn't doing anything and decided to join the wedding in NY city during December. Plus, it's an outdoor rooftop wedding 🥶
A woman shows up dressed in all red (it's an all white wedding) and she instantly captures his attention. She talks Liam into skipping the wedding and letting her take him on an adventure through NY city since he's never been at Christmas. Only rule is that they keep their Identity hidden. She Vixen and he's Blitzen.
The more they spend around each other, they more they want the other person. They are such a cute couple and this girl really brings Liam out of his shell some. The only thing is she knows who he is, because of who he family is.
The spend the night together at his hotel and have a spicy night after a fun night in the city. The next morning she calls him by his name and he knows she knows. He gets her name, which is Allie. Only her first name though and a game plan to see each other long distant and godly stay something real. Because they both want this.
She is coming from a bad breakup though and has some twist issues and when she sees his phone messages from a girl and friends she freaks and leaves him while he's in the shower. He knows nothing else about her besides her first name and that they have a mural friend in common.
The ending on this cliffhanger is a dousey so get ready for it. And their future book is coming out in March and it's 2 years later. I'm so ready for our and that she kept this from him for 2 years apparently. I don't even want to think about the kind of man Liam may be now because he was really all in with this mystery girl. Ahhh, I need this book asap!!!

THAT ENDING??? Ava, ma’am, why would you DO THAT to me?? 😂
From page one I was gone. Like, I opened the book and immediately got OLITZED right along with him. This man literally shows up in NYC for a chill Christmas wedding and instead gets flattened by a five-foot-nothing holiday gremlin in red who radiates more festive chaos than the Macy’s parade. She is joy and glitter and trouble, and he is this giant, secret NFL quarterback just trying to keep it low-key—yeah right. With HER around? Not a chance.
Their banter?? FIRE.
Their chemistry?? MELTING-THE-SNOW-ON-THE-SIDEWALK LEVEL HOT.
The vibe?? Christmas movie but with way more swooning and I am HERE FOR IT.
And don’t even get me STARTED on the Vixen and Blitzen nicknames. I was kicking my feet like a teenager. That was the sugary-sweet, giggle-inducing, heart-squeezing icing on the gingerbread house. UGH I’m obsessed.
I was fully convinced I was signing up for a cute, cozy holiday romance and instead I get hit with FEELINGS, sparkly tension, and then BAM—A CLIFFHANGER??? On CHRISTMAS??? Ava, I love you but I also need to have a stern conversation with you because I was not emotionally prepared. 😂

I devoured this novella in one sitting and immediately wished I had the next book in my hands! I wasn’t ready for it to end. I went in thinking I was getting a cute, spicy holiday detour and ended up absolutely hooked on Liam and Alie.
Their instant chemistry was perfect! I love how Ava took her time with what she had to make it feel real. From the moment Liam and Alie collide in New York City, the energy is electric. You can just feel how drawn they are to each other, even without names or expectations. Adding the name mystery was a fun twist.
What surprised me most was how quickly this little Christmas adventure turned into the perfect setup for Ava’s new Gridiron Legacy series. I’ve been curious about Liam ever since he was mentioned in the Walker University series. I’m fully obsessed.
The blend of sweet moments, heat, and that unexpected twist at the end had me clutching my Kindle and coming up with so many ideas of what could happen in their book.
This was fun, it was flirty, it was the kind of prequel that pulls you in and refuses to let go. Who’s counting down with me until March for the rest of their story?

Liam (we met him in the Walker University Stallions series before he got drafted) meets Alie at a wedding in NYC, and they end up leaving to explore the city for the night. They don’t exchange names but have a passionate evening back at his hotel. She leaves him the next morning due to some miscommunication, and we won’t know what happens until the next book picks up after 2 years has passed.
I was NOT expecting that cliffhanger ending! How can I wait 3 months for Liam + Alie’s full story?

Excuse me, Miss Sutton, how am I supposed to wait until March to finish Liam and Ali’s story? I was not expecting this short novella to end on a cliffhanger, but it definitely spiked my curiosity about how their relationship will unfold.
This is a very quick read that follows Liam and Ali’s one night of holiday fun. They meet at a wedding and instantly click, which leads them to ditch the event altogether. Since Liam is not from New York, Ali decides to play tour guide and take him around the city to enjoy all the Christmas magic.
They have a great time doing different holiday activities, and their chemistry only grows stronger. By the end of the night, they can’t fight the attraction anymore and decide to spend the night together, and let me tell you, it was pure fire. Unfortunately, when morning comes, everything seems to fall apart. And then the epilogue hits, one I absolutely was not expecting, and now I have to wait until March for the full story.
If you are looking for a fun holiday romance that also ends on a cliffhanger, I definitely recommend this one. It is short, entertaining, and a perfect setup for the first book in Ava’s new series.

This was such a fun and spicy novella, that starts with the most adorable meet cute at a wedding! I loved being able to get more Liam since being introduced to him in the Walker University series. Liam is attending a wedding for one of his friends and the last thing he expected was to meet a beautiful woman, who is smitten by immediately. Liam and this mystery women who change their identities to Vixen and Blitzen decide to ditch the wedding and see New York. We are taken on an adventure with Vixen and Blitzen throughout the city while they get to know each other and have a little fun. Things heat up when they take a carriage ride, ultimately ending back at his hotel. The next morning, they share their names and agree that they’d like to see where this can go. Ultimately, Alie sees something on his phone that has her rethinking her choices and leaving without saying goodbye. They didn’t exchange information…so were left wondering what is next for Liam and Alie.

Liam travels to NYC during the holidays to attend his college roommates wedding. While waiting for the dinner to start he meets a beautiful woman. They hit it off immediately and ultimately decide to ditch the rest of the wedding events and go off to explore the city together.
The mystery woman says they should stay anonymous and gives Liam the nickname Blitzen and she becomes Vixen. She is a New Yorker so she acts as his unofficial tour guide through out the day, which ends with them together in his hotel room.

Well this author gave us one heck of a quick, fast paced cute holiday novella. I loved it so much! Liam’s character caught my attention in the Walker University Stallions Series, so getting his story is fantastic.
From their sweet meet cute, to the flirting, and instant connection-this short story had me hooked. It easily played out like a movie in my mind, and I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing along with them. Their chemistry is insane, but you can also just feel how much fun and enjoyment they were having in just being together!
Although a shorter read, it packed a punch and left an impression. Oh boy, did Ava through us for a loop-the ending comes with its own little twist (which I personally loved) and a lead in to what’s to come-I can promise you I will be counting down the days!

I absolutely adored this holiday novella! This was such a sweet and spicy prequel for a new pro football series coming in 2026. I'm so excited for the conclusion to Liam's story.
Liam is first introduced in the Walker University Stallions series and I was so happy to hear that he was getting a book. If you haven't read the Walker U series, what are you waiting for? The first four books are available in Kindle Unlimited and book five, Lockdown Corner, comes out January 23, 2026. So you have time to binge all the yummy college football goodness before Silas' book is released. When I tell you Ava writes some of the best, ooey-gooey, down-bad, cinnamon roll heroes, I mean they are top tier MMCs. And I can already tell the Liam is going to join his former college buddies at the top of the pack with his full story soon. This man falls for his mystery woman hard and fast. The chemistry and banter between Liam and his Vixen is top notch. I was definitely giggling and blushing throughout this meet cute story. And I loved that our FMC was so self-possessed and smart. Plus she was a college hockey goalie which is so bad@ss! Truly can't wait to devour the rest of this story. This book does end on a cliffhanger.
Also, loved the NYC at Christmas setting! It truly makes you want to go visit all the same places as Blitzen and Vixen!

Ava, Ava…what did you put in this? I was hooked from the very page and goodness that ending left me gasping and needing more immediately. I don’t know how I’m gonna wait till March. Liam is only in New Your City for his buddies wedding and while there, gets blown away by a vision in red. These two had me giggling and swooning over their Christmas adventures through the city. Don’t even get me started on their nicknames. They are seriously the cutest and I was devouring them leaving nothing behind and left wanting more. I saw a potential for drama brewing, but I was still not ready for that cliffhanger ending!!👀 I don’t know if I can stand that long for the rest of this story!!😅
