What can I say... I very much enjoyed it! I personally don't have high expectations from erotica authors, but Lucia Jordan has exceeded those expectations for sure! Apart from the sex scenes (which were quite something), I also liked Kelly's evolution as a character, as well as her relationship with Levi. They're so good together, that I cannot even! If this series had been longer, I wouldn't have appreciated it as much, I'm certain. Good job, Lucia Jordan, and I'll go check out your other books as well!

Pleasure Both Ways

The main characters - Levi & Kelly were terrific! They both had issues, but they challenged each other & made each other better. Levi was a true Hero when Kelly was faced with a major challenge at work & she even learned how to deal with her PIA father - thanks to Levi.

The storyline was excellent with enough heat in unconventional places to make your Kindle steamy!! Very good story with interesting plot and some surprises, her father Levi's friend who is loyal to both Levi & Kelly.

The only thing I did not like was having to buy the series in order to get the whole picture & closure, otherwise everything else was great.

This had the premise of a good plot but it just defaulted to typical clichés and INSTA-LUST so soon into the book that I just got bored.

You've read this story in about a thousand Mills & Boon romances and think "oh same old"... zzzzz



The author kept going on and on about the guy's good-looks (Levi aka Hero Fireman).

So basically you have the:
1. blonde, ice Princess rich girl (slightly repressed)
2. Tall, dark, handsome HERO fireman who saves the day. He's all earthy, and opposite of the icy princess.
3. He plans to show her a good time, she's reluctant but then gives in. The End.

When she's not swooning or stressing then she's trying to be funny. I wasn't sure which was worse.

There's also loads of logistics that didn't make sense. Kelly is meant to be the CEO of a billionaire dollar empire but she doesn't have a PA running around after her chasing up fire reports? Surely a CEO would be far too busy for that, no matter how important. CEO's delegate work that doesn't require their presence or input. This was one of those tasks.

Anyway, what with all the insta-lust and the hero's OTT hero credentials (I love firemen too but he's just sooooo out there with the whole saving the world thing it was tiresome. He even has a 9/11 tat coz we need to remind readers what a considerate hero he is).

Anyway, was so dull couldn't finish it.

Wasn't much pleasure

I have to start off by saying that the cover for the first instalment of this book is fire!!! Totally hot!!! If the male character can lift me up and has a butt like that (with a long T at the end), wooooo, I will read this book to the end. But I digress.

I'm giving this complete series a 2.5 star rating. This book begins with Kelly, a CEO of a company that is always in control, being rescued from her burning building by Levi, a sexy as heck fireman. From the very beginning, even though they made smart remarks to each other, there was sexual attraction between them. Kelly tries to hide it all behind all her work. She always has the responsibilities of running a company. Levi wants her to lose control sexually. He senses that she is uptight and needs release. 

I wonder what will happen if Kelly does lose and what pleasures Levi can bring. Will she become a wildcat that can handle the toughness Levi brings? How will Levi open her up to her wild side? What pleasures can he bring that are new to her? Let's open Pandora's Box on the story of Kelly and Levi.

After reading the first installment I wanted to know what pleasures Levi could bring and what would happen if Kelly truly lost control. Throughout this book I didn't get answers to the questions in my mind.

I just thought they just had good sex. Like stated before, she just needed a release. I didn't truly see the dominant side of Levi. And while let me take control aspect confused me. Levi asked Kelly to let him take control only after like a little bit over a week's time is not believable. Levi's definition of Kelly losing control was basically her screaming, scratching, and biting during sex. Really didn't get my rocks off.

But the last straw was the whole blackmail storyline. It made no sense to be placed there. I know the author needed some angst in the characters' lives but I believe that wasn't the route to go. Overall, it didn't show much promise or pleasure
