AMAR Y QUERER NO ES IGUAL
AMAR ES SUFRIR
QUERER ES GOZAR
EL QUE AMA PRETENDE SERVIR
EL QUE AMA SU VIDA LA DA
Y EL QUE QUIERE PRETENDE VIVIR
Y NUNCA SUFRIR, Y NUNCA SUFRIR
EL QUE AMA NO PUEDE PENSAR
TODO LO DA, TODO LO DA
EL QUE QUIERE PRETENDE OLVIDAR
Y NUNCA LLORAR, Y NUNCA LLORAR

2.5 what is going oooonnnn?
I'd have to re-read the series to properly get everything (I've lost track volumes ago, thought it would get clearer if I keep reading but no)- maybe it's on me but the pacing of the plot and structure of the timeline are super confusing
(the characters too, are sometimes hard to differentiate), the art is cool though!

Dropped.

Over three years of following this story and the only thing that's changed is Taejoon's haircut. No questions have been answered, no decisions have been made, no relationships or plot points have progressed; I'm reading this out of spite at this point. Honestly, the main character, assumedly Joe, doesn't even feel like the focus of the story anymore and hasn't for a while. The gorgeous artwork cannot make up for the ouroboros plot that rehashes itself every few volumes and undoes any character development made along the way.

Everyone in this story deserves better.

This manhwa honestly feels like a group therapy case for every single character and I mean that in the best way possible.

It was an incredibly powerful story with deeply compelling characters, especially the main lead. While reading, I found myself constantly disagreeing with many of the comments. People tend to divide everything into black and white, as if humans always choose what’s morally right or fair. But that’s not how people work and that’s exactly what makes this story feel so real.

I truly empathized with the protagonist. At his core, he was just trying to survive and protect himself the only way he knew how. Yes, his choices weren’t perfect, and yes, he accepted help but that doesn’t make him inherently wrong. Joe wasn’t naïve or powerless either. He made his own decisions. He understood what he was getting into. Ian gave him multiple chances, clear signals, and real opportunities to walk away. At some point, responsibility stops being one-sided.

I kept trying to understand TJ, thinking maybe it was just obsession but it turned out to be deeper than that. Obsession mixed with insecurity, which he eventually acknowledges himself. That added a layer of honesty I really appreciated.

The ending felt right. Not overly idealized, not tragic for the sake of it just real, grounded, and satisfying in its own way.

I loved this story enough to already order the first two physical volumes, and I’ll definitely be following the author and waiting for the rest to come out.

Highly recommended if you enjoy morally complex characters and stories that don’t pretend life is simple.

They all turned their backs on me. All except one person.

Flashbacks my beloved T^T
I love pain.

The first time you looked my way, I realized that I'd been sitting here every week because I longed for your gaze. That was the beginning of everything.

These two have loved each other for 20 years and still have no idea how to get the message across. Their miscommunication is so well written though, rooted in their personal trauma and the messed-up world they live in. While I usually hate this trope, I’m living for it here.

You're free now.
T^T

The award for most insufferable character this time goes to Chris. Can you go die in a ditch or something? Take your cousin with you, if you want.
