When Fire met Ice

Rate this book
He was ice. She was fire. And the world burned when they collided.

Kabir Rathore is ice—the controlled PR strategist to the Chief Minister, a man who calculates every move and never lets emotions cloud his judgment. Until an investigative journalist disrupts his carefully managed world with one damning exposé.

Ananya Sharma is fire—a fearless reporter who chases truth no matter the cost, refuses to be intimidated by power, and would rather die than compromise her integrity. Even if it means going head-to-head with the Chief Minister's devastatingly attractive brother.

When a scandalous photograph forces them into a marriage neither wanted, they agree to the two years of playing the perfect couple, then a quiet divorce. No feelings. No complications. Just a mutually beneficial arrangement to save their reputations.

The arrangement was temporary. The attraction is undeniable. But when the woman he loves lands in the crosshairs of a ruthless enemy, Kabir must face the one question he’s spent his life
How far will he go—and how much will he burn—to save her?

Because love is the one scandal that can’t be controlled.

A steamy Indian political romance featuring a possessive hero, a stubborn heroine, forced proximity, fake relationship to real love, and enough chemistry to set the pages on fire.

This book is part of the “Power and Passion” series, but can be read as a standalone. It comes with spice, drama, and a guaranteed HEA.

4.75⭐️
(i received an ARC and this is my honest review)

"Because he was the Chief Minister's PR strategist.
Because I was the journalist holding that administration accountable.
Because we were on opposite sides of every professional line that mattered.
Because despite all of that, despite everything logical and sensible, I wanted him."

Okay. First of all, this is my second novel by Taashu K. (When revenge turned to love was the first and it was 5⭐️). As someone who has been in a 2 month long slump with zero desire to read, I was like "okay, i should become responsible and start reading again. i need easy language. And I thought, I'm familiar with her writing style and her world. Let me just read the prologue."
Next thing I know, I'm 22% in and telling the author that I'm obsessed.
NEXT thing after that? I'm 74% in and so over my slump? This cured me in the BEST. WAY. POSSIBLE.
It's easy to read. it's sweet, hot, romantic and so dramatic that I absolutely loved it. (and let's all start being okay with dramatic as a description. it's not a bad thing.)
I was highly entertained, familiar with the family dynamic and bondings and in absolute awe of the enemies-to-lovers banter.

"Fire and ice?" I couldn't help asking.
"Your natures," the pandit said, smiling. "You burn bright, fierce and passionate. He runs cool, controlled and steady. Together, you balance. Very auspicious."

○ Journalist × PR strategist
○ Enemies to lovers
○ Marriage of convenience
○ Forced proximity
○ Political scandal
○ "You came, you called"
○ "I'd burn down the world for you" MMC

I laughed so hard on main leads banter... It's priceless , you will experience throughout the story, not a single moment off the story. The narration is spectacular as the story moves.

Kabir Rathore is a man of hearts, he is a flirt yes ....but fall only for his princess is true . Being a man from political family ,he is sure is a gold. The way he handles both his work and his princess is written to perfection.

Ananya Sharma...no Ananya kabir Rathore will be do. She is women who follows own path in her way. She will do anything for passion on journalism. As she is lady of honest with softheart too.

Overall it's a he fall First but harder also she falls hard too. The livelyness of their love will surely make you turn pages to keep going .

The author did it again, brilliant work as always. These love stories make me wanna live in them. Kabir and Ananya were just perfect together. From the very beginning, where he saves her from a gun fight to the very end of that crazy night, everything was just amazing. And the way he called her Princess. From hating that nick name to living it, they both grew stronger and closer like they were always meant to be. It all began with a chase and a lie, but became a beautiful Tale.
I would definitely recommend it to all.
