The first twelve years of Alina's life are a black void. An accomplished thief, she uses her cloaking ability to pick pockets as well as stage elaborate heists. Digging deeper into her past sets off a chain of events that puts her, and the family she has just discovered, in the sights of their worst enemy.
...and the scarred heart of a guardian...
In secret, Lash Watcher Caine plots vengeance for the destruction of everything he loved. Branded by loss, he longs to find his one true mate, knowing that only with her will his heart fully heal. When his brief meeting with Alina is interrupted by her elaborate evade-and-escape plan, he knows there is more to her than meets his watchful eyes. But nothing can prepare him for the lethal power of her mind.
...collide at the fault line of destiny.
A brilliant villain with a vicious and loyal army behind her can only be stopped by one force: the combined power of four women who command the elements. Alina, with her newly-discovered affinity to the earth, becomes the linchpin to halting the desecration of their world. Thrown into a battle plan and a new family, she finds joy in in the quiet strength of Caine's arms. But when the secrets to her past are revealed, she learns a terrible price has been paid in advance. The very magic that allowed her to live to fulfill a prophecy will forever deny her heart's deepest wish.

After much anticipation, this final installment in the Solsti Prophecy series has answered a lot of questions, and concluded with all the action, adventure, and romance we have come to expect from the Solsti and their beloved demon counterparts! I am sad to see the series come to a close, but excited about a spinoff in the works! Yay!
Alina lives with her adoptive vampire father, Sebastian, on the demon realm of Torth. Living a nomadic life, she and her father use their skills to commit petty crimes. While making their way from one town to the next, it is hardly a glamorous life, but Alina has adjusted. Still, she longs to know who she is, and where she came from. Most of those around her believe her to be fae, due to her petite stature, but that's not the whole story. And now that she has gained access to a scrying mirror -- an enchanted mirror that allows her to see events unfolding in real time -- she can't resist. Not knowing the full scope of the magic embedded in the object, she is excited about her discovery, but soon realizes there is a high price to pay for her actions.
Now on the run with her father, and stealing cash from unsuspecting locals at a bustling drinking establishment, she spies a familiar face. Handsome, yet intimidating, she recalls the night at Mulvari's party, and can't help wondering what business the handsome stranger could have with a wealthy gangster. She had her own business there -- stealing the coveted amulet. Unable to avoid his approach, he introduces himself as Caine. Despite his size, he doesn't strike her as menacing. So, as they begin an unexpected flirtation, all hell breaks loose, with dark magic crashing down on the establishment. There is no way out.
Caine sees Alina injured in the rubble, unconscious and bleeding. He struggles to find an escape, and in desperation uses his own amulet to go to the one place he knows she will be safe. Unbeknownst to Caine, bringing Alina to the safe house sets the course for a connection that no one can anticipate, putting lives at risk, and bringing forth the combined powers of the Solsti... powers needed to prepare for a war on the horizon.
Alina is part of a force that was believed to be a myth, but she still has one deep, dark secret she is keeping from Caine. And as his feelings for her continue to grow, she pulls away. These two seem destined to be together, but the barriers may be too great. Falling in love isn't an option for Alina, and even with all the magic between them, there are some forces even greater. Like all matters of the heart, it's complicated, especially when you are a Solsti... with the most powerful magic of all.
I loved the characters in this installment, with Caine being a formidable, sexy Watcher, and Alina having plenty of skills to keep him on his toes! The story ties up loose ends, combines meaningful details from the other books, and brings the entire series into context. With four uniquely individual tales, I highly recommend this well written and exciting series to fans of paranormal romance who enjoy plenty of steamy romance and adventure!

And there you have it... the end of another great series! This final installment was definitely action packed as the four Solsti finally all come together and combine their power to prepare for the impending war. It was also a little emotional as the truth is slowly revealed about Alina, where she has been, how she survived and the price that she had to pay in exchange for her power. I was both sad and happy for her... she finally found her family but will she ever be able to have one of her own? For her, falling in love is too big of a risk and the price too high. But, can you really keep yourself from falling in love? Caine, our sexy watcher, is definitely making it hard for her to keep her emotions in check. Caine and Alina were a great match together and the chemistry was superb! Those of you who love an abundance of steam will be quite pleased... they were insatiable together. The fact that Alina was a professional thief made her character very clever and interesting. I absolutely adored Sebastian, the vampire who saved Alina when he found her abandoned at age 12 and raised her as his own daughter. He taught her everything he knew... stealing... but, hey we all have to have skills. And turns out, those skills did come in handy for her quite a bit. It was very clever how the author pulled all of the smallest details from all of the previous books and brought everything full circle in the end. There were definitely a few surprises that had me on the edge of my seat. I'm sad to see the series end... but all good things must I suppose... and, I'll be waiting to see what else this author has in store for us in the future. I think I heard a rumor that she might be writing some spin offs of some of the characters from this series. I'd like that... :))
This is not a stand alone... it is best to start with book one and read the entire series in order... starting with Wicked Wind.
On Wicked Ground is the fourth and final book in the Solsti Prophecy. Everything has been leading up to the girls finding the lost Solsti and battling the big bad.
This novel takes place right after Wicked Flames, so you do need to read this series in order to understand what is happening. Each book brings us deeper into the prophecy, seeing each sister develop their powers, find their mates, and get closer to discovering what they must do to save the realms. This final book answers a lot of questions, along with giving us an action-packed, fast-paced, adventure and romance.
Alina was a unique character in that she grew up in the demon real and knows all about this world, unlike her sisters who got a crash course. I liked her confidence and compassion. I felt for her when she learns that their is a price for her powers. Unlike her sisters, her gift and life took a different turn and this news leaves her with a deep sadness.
Caine I loved him. For being such a huge intimidating warrior he has a very soft side. He’s sincere and noble. He’s had a sad past, enduring loss and learning to put it into perspective. Unlike his other demon brethren, he dreams of a mate of his own and a family.
These two understood each other quite well, acknowledged their attraction, and actually talked to each other sharing more then sex. We are treated to some very sensual love scenes; between Alina and Caine. I will say I was a little disappointed that they got so wrapped up and forgot condoms. In the previous books all the others remembered, even when they where so hot for each other. I just felt they where too new together to start a family this soon.
We are treated to no shortage of action and skirmishes. I will say the finally show down was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a little more and to have it drawn out longer. Things felt like they wrapped up a little to fast and that things fell into place a little to easily for my liking. Regardless, the ending was satisfying.
Even though this is the final book in the Solsti Prophecy. It is not the end. The author has started a spinoff Watcher’s Kiss series, which gives us more Lash demon watcher’s and their stories. If you like fast-paced stories with a touch of magic and paranormal then you should give this series a try.
Sharon Kay’s On Wicked Ground brings an accomplished thief with a missing past together with a scarred and bitter Watcher, as their meeting foretells a future that includes evil, danger and possible salvation for the two of them, as well as the world.
Alina is the last of the Solsti to be found, the missing sister, but her memories are gone, she is unaware of the sisters who love her and need her to fulfill a prophecy. Raised to never trust anyone but herself, unaware of who she really is, this tiny and feisty female is determined to fight Caine every step of the way. Until she can no longer resist the pull to this hardened warrior. Will Caine get Alina back to her sisters in time to fulfill the reason for their birth? Will they be strong enough and have enough faith and trust in each other to overpower the evil threatening the world?
High Fives for Sharon Kay as she turns up the tension, heats up the romance and delivers her GRAND finale to this series with a flourish!! Are you ready for an edge-of-your-seat, action-packed tale that is filled with electrical energy, sparks flying and earth-moving romance? Ms. Kay has once again developed characters that have that unique feel to them, while being completely likable, in spite of the emotional walls they live within. As she proves it only takes one special soul to shatter the pain of the past and make the future look like a “hot” bed of roses and a few caring sisters to feel like you belong.

I've loved this series from the very beginning. The world building, the characters, and the romance made this one of my favorite series of the last year. Four powerful women learn they're part of a prophecy to avert a great evil. As each one learns about their special powers over the elements, they find love in the arms of their Guardians, Lash demons sworn to protect the women at all costs.
From the moment they were aware of the attraction between them, Alina wasn't shy to show that she liked Caine, missed him when he was gone, and she wasn't apprehensive about giving in to the sexual need brewing between them. Her confidence and extreme compassion were what made me really like her character. From her description, she was tiny that she was often mistaken for a fae. But underneath that small exterior, she was a tough cookie, always thinking on her feet, and she seemed to be the one with the biggest heart.
I loved Caine! For a huge, intimidating warrior he was actually quite a softie. Unlike most of his brethren, he dreamt of finding a mate and starting a family. Having lost his own during a massacre at his village when he was younger, he needed revenge to find closure. That Alina understood that at a pivotal moment was just so like her.
The love scenes between Alina and Caine were hot, made even better by the mutual attraction and their ease with talking to one another, sharing themselves on more than just a sexual level. I loved everything about their relationship because they just went with the flow with very little angst. There seemed to be more sex in this one than the previous two books, but this couple was so damn lovable, I wouldn't hold it against them.
The skirmishes were all great visuals, and it was nice to see all the sisters working together for the first time. I enjoyed the one snag that came with Alina's element because I wondered how they'd get around it, if at all. At least it tied up one end that I'd wondered about since the first book. As for the show down, I had hoped it would be drawn out a little more as the villainess was dealt with rather quickly, and a little too easily. Regardless, the ending was still very satisfactory.
I was sad to read this was the final book in the series given that I want more of all these fierce warriors, both male and female. I want to read about Ria, Scorpio, Arawn and Brenin. At least a new series is being planned and I may get my wish.

Alina is a thief who does not remember the first twelve years of her life. She discovers she has an affinity to the earth and is the missing Solsti. Caine wants retribution for the loss of his loved ones. He becomes captivated by the little thief, but obstacles stand in their way.
On Wicked Ground was amazing. It was my favorite book in the series. It was full of non-stop action and surprises. It is perfectly written and flows well.
Alina is a worthy heroine. It was astounding what she went through in her life. She is a strong individual that was easy to like.
Caine is the perfect Lash Watcher for Alina. They get each other and keep things interesting. They fill the voids in each other’s lives and balance one another.
I enjoyed Alina’s adopted father Sebastian. I thought it was clever how he unknowingly fit into the story. He was a good man; I mean vampire, for taking Alina in and raising her.
Everything creatively came together in On Wicked Ground. For example, I love how in every book a lock of hair was collected of each sister. I thought Sharon Kay’s outcome was brilliant and carefully thought out. You’ll know what I’m talking about after you read the books. Trust me this was very ingenious. There are tons of details included in this series that make On Wicked Ground a thrilling conclusion to the Solsti Prophecy Series. I’m sad the series ended but was satisfied with the outcome. I’ll be interested in seeing what Sharon Kay comes up with next.

Finally the Solsti sisters are a foursome! Alina has found her sisters using some magic, but in doing so has put her sisters in danger...... No worries though they're all mated to sexy hot lash demons, they won't let any harm come to their lovers.
Alina is the earth element and has great power.
Caine is a Lash Watcher, his had a running with Alina before, so when he see's her again he can't help but try to get near her. It's not going to be plain sailing though as she's keeping a dire secret from Caine......
I loved this conclusion to the Solsti sisters story, how could I not! it had lots of sexy Lash Demons in that I've grown to love.
Alina and Caines relationship developed quickly and I'm sure they're the most sexually active couple so far in series.
There's lots of action and danger in this book and a very evil baddie that you'll be desperate to see 'seen to'.
If your anything like me your thinking how can Alina be their sister....she died.... Don't worry this is all explained, and ties in with rest of story.
As with all Sharon's books her characthers are totally likeable and writing and story flow well so you just keep turning pages until you finish the book.
This is part of a series and I'd highly advise starting with book 1.
The good news is Sharon has announced theres more books to come from Lash Demon central.
Five sexy lash demon stars

In the final installment of M's Kay's hugely exciting paranormal romance series we are properly introduced to Alina, a one-time thief who made a brief appearance in the previous book. Although she has no memories of the first twelve years of her life, it turns out that Alina is the missing Solsti, the sister everyone thought was dead. Or was she?
Alina's arrival completes the Solsti circle, and just in the nick of time too 'cause Big Bad is a-coming and she's bringing her army of evil minions with her. Hell hath no fury like that of a crazed vampire bitch on a power trip!
While Alina gets to know her old/new family again, and attempts to master her new powers, Caine - a luscious Lash demon - is right by her side.
The attraction between the two leads to some unforgettable steamy encounters, and no matter how hard Alina fights against it, she can't help but fall under Caine's spell... and who can blame her? Not this girl!
As the story reached its exciting climax and the prophecy came into play, I couldn't read the words fast enough.
Alina. We met her briefly in the last book and now we get to see where she really came from and who it is that she is a Solsti. As the war gears up for the final battle it's a race to unite the four Solsti to fight against evil.
Caine he knew there was something special about her when they literally ran into each other the first time. So seeing her again he's not gonna let her go that easily, and when she's injured he brings her to the one place he knows she'll get the best care. When he wasn't expecting was the discovery of who she was.
As the two become closer while prepairing for war, shocking news is learned by Alina and it could mean the end of their relationship before it ever really started.
In this conclusion to the series we see it all come together and some of the curious things we didn't understand throughout we finally figure out. I loved seeing how it all ended, although I'm very excited about the spin off series that's to come!
I'm deeply saddened tonight as I write this review. Not because I didn't love this series because I did, SO MUCH! But rather because the series has come to an end. I mean ... what?! I knew it was going to be four books, I mean it is after all about the FOUR Solsti but still ... I'm bereft and grieving over the loss of my now long time friends. So much time has been invested loving these characters and now they are just gone. But enough about that lets discuss how I fell in love with this series and all of the characters in it.
Sharon Kay is a phenomenal writer and story teller. She created a world full of intriguing Paranormal characters and from the second I met Nicole and Gunnar in Wicked Wind, I knew I was done for. The spiciness and the fierce protectiveness of these Lash Demon Watchers who come in contact with the Solsti, whom everyone believes to be just a myth, is in a word, intoxicating! Then we got Kai and Brooke's story in Wicked Wave and Gin and Mathias' story in Wicked Flames and I thought there is no way she can top this. But SHE DID! I am so in love with Alina and Caine I can't even tell you all of the why's because I'd just ruin the entire book but these two did it for me in a way that I'm still reeling from the twists and turns, the surprises, the TEARS ... oh don't even get me started on the ugly cry I was doing for a while. Sharon warned me as I was giving her my play by play reactions and predictions that there might be tears ... at least I got the warning, so I'm passing it on to you my friends, bring tissues!
On Wicked Ground is just an absolutely breathtaking story about a woman being afforded the chance to finally learn who she truly is after never knowing a thing about herself before the age of 12. It's also a wonderful story about the romance she finds with Caine and by romance I should point out there is some off the wall, chart topping sex happening in this story that is toe curling and delicious and you'll want to savor all of those moments! These Demons and the protectiveness and the feeling that someone is theirs irrevocably is just heart stopping. Even as I write this I'm getting goose bumps thinking about how each of them felt about their particular Solsti but Caine did it best in my opinion. These two were incendiary and will live in my heart forever. I'm sad now that it is over but I know that I own all four novels and can now do a complete re-read and re-visit old friends anytime I want.
Grab your copies of the Solsti Series by Sharon Kay today, trust me if you love PNR Romance, if you love Erotic Romance, if you love all of the above, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Sharon for contacting me a year ago to review Wicked Wind, you've got a fan for life! I can't wait for Arawn's book and your new series!
It’s rare that I’ll binge read a book series. Reading can be time consuming and purchasing a whole set of books at the same time is a big investment. But the Solsti Prophecy series by Sharon Kay was recommended to me by a fellow blogger I follow on Facebook, MsRomanticReads, and since she knows what I like, I dove right in and purchased the first three books. I read them in less than a week and ended up naming Wicked Wind (Book 1) as one of my Best Reads of 2014! Needless to say, I had high hopes for On Wicked Ground, the fourth and final book in the series. Read on to see if it lived up to my expectations...
Alina is a true heroine. She’s the fourth of four women who are prophesied to come defend the worlds when a danger unlike any other threatens. After reading and loving the first three books in the series, I had been awaiting her arrival with no small amount of excitement and curiosity. For the most part...

The Solsti Sisters are one of my favorite series and Wicked Ground concludes the story of the Solsti sisters. Alina, the fourth Solsti sister, was finally found and the reunion with the other sisters and their Lash Demons was very heartwarming. It was great to see all the sisters together using their powers. As with the other books, this book is a page turner. Lots of romance and danger, and a dramatic conclusion to the evil that was mentioned in previous books.
Alina and Caine are attracted right away and their romance was sexy and hot. Alina has a secret she keeps from Caine and it was suspenseful to see how the secret would be resolved.
I highly recommend this series, and as others have said, you need to start with the first book.
The author announced more books about the Lash Demons which I am looking forward to.
I thought this book was an excellent end to the Solsti series! Even while knowing that their youngest sister had died at an early age, Nicole, Brooke and Gin have always felt as if Alina might still be out there. The sister's have grown up and grown into their Solsti powers however with evil lurking around the corner, it will take all four of them to put an end to it. Wicked Ground follows Alina and the discovery of both her powers and her long lost family. I love the connection and passion between Alina and Caine. And it's so nice to revist each of the sisters and their mates throughout the book. This series is a must read for PNR fans.
I received a copy of this story for an honest review for The Reading Room Blog.
Sharon Kay's Solsti Series is one of the first series that I got to review for The Reading Room Blog. With each new book I fell a little more in love with the Bonham sisters and the magical Lash demons who fight with them and for them. On Wicked Ground was on my anticipated reads list for 2015 and I'm happy to say it lived up to my expectations.
Skilled thief Alina has grown up with no memory of her life before her adoptive father Sebastian found her at the age of 12. While she loves Sebastian and the life they've made, Alina has always felt that there is another family out there looking for her. Her desire to find them puts Alina right in the path of villainous Elegia, the woman whose plans for domination brought the legendary Solsti back to life.
Lash demon Caine has devoted himself to maintaining the peace in all of the realms but with three Solti sisters identified and actively using their powers, he knows the peace won't last much longer. A chance encounter with a gorgeous but sneaky thief sparks a powerful connection and what starts out as distraction turns into a job when he must protect her from Elegia.
Together Caine and Alina must figure out Alina's missing past and her connection to the Solsti. It may be the key to saving the world...
What I Loved: There is a TON of stuff going on in On Wicked Ground but Sharon Kay does a fantastic job of juggling her army of characters and multiple plot points while moving the reader along to a satisfying conclusion. Alina and Caine make a great pair and their relationship is a nice blend of humor, heat and heart. That said, the high point of On Wicked Ground for me was getting to see the chemistry between reunited sisters Alina, Nicole, Brooke, and Gin. I've invested in these characters throughout the Solsti books and the scenes between the four characters have unbelievable emotional payoff.
What I Didn’t Love: I would have liked a smidge more evil from the big bad of the Solsti Series - Elegia. Elegia orchestrated a demonic war but came off a tad more petulant than scary during the final battle.
Favorite Quotes:
“Solsti. Legend. Power. She’d carried the kernel of possibility of who she might truly be, hardly daring to speak of it, and now it exploded into something far more vast than she could’ve dreamed.”
“He would protect her to the death, and love her until she was too sated to move. There could be no other woman for him.”
“Her beautiful, vibrant life, which had been saved and restored, which he had thought might be meant for him, instead served as a cruel denial to them both.”
On Wicked Ground is a fantastic wrap-up of the Solsti prophecy story line. It is not a stand-alone and if you have not read the first three books (Wicked Wind, Wicked Waves, Wicked Flames) you will need to do so before jumping in. This is one of my favorite paranormal romance series so I highly recommend each of the core books and the series novella Kissed by a Demon Spy.
I am super excited to say that Sharon Kay is paying mad respect to her detailed world and awesome secondary characters by giving them their own series. First up will be Lash leader Arwan. I can’t wait!
Definitely my favorite Solsti sister AND book of the series!
Prior to finding out that the 4th sister did in fact exist, Gin's story (Wicked Flames) was the one I was most looking forward to. But at the end of her book it was hinted that Alina was very much alive and searching for who she believed could possibly be her sisters. At that exact moment my excitement and anticipation tripled! I have to say Ms. Kay does NOT disappoint. On Wicked Ground was everything I had hoped it would be and more. We learn all about Alina, her past and in a sense her future. Throw in a super hot demon, a.k.a Caine, and you've got one unforgettable story!
I think Alina and Caine have the most intense chemistry out of all the other Solsti's and their mates. All it took was a brief meeting and a whiff of Alina's scent and Caine was all about that bass. (Sorry couldn't resist throwing that in there!) So naturally when he sees her again he's not letting her go. And it doesn't really seem like she wants to be let go either. So when chaos erupts at a night club where Caine is sent on a mission his first priority is Alina's safety, and then diffusing the situation comes next. Unfortunately she gets hurt in the process which lands her at the Lash Demon Headquarters. And then the real fun begins! Alina has no idea that she's gained more than just sisters, she's gained all the drama that comes along with it, primarily an impending war.
I was absolutely blown away by On Wicked Ground. I even emailed the author to tell her so and to let her know she's an absolute genius...in case she wasn't aware already. The amount of detail put into this story, along with the major plot twists and then seeing everything come together was just surreal. I had to take a moment toward the end to let it all sink in. Saying I was amazed is a complete understatement. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but it bares repeating. If you're a fan of JR Ward then you should read Sharon Kay's Solsti Prophecy Series. You will not be disappointed. Flawless writing, intricate details and imagery, and action and suspense that'll knock your socks off are all attributes you'll find in Ms. Kay's books.
(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review).
(This review may contain spoilers).
Having read three of the previous books by this author set in this world, I was really happy to read the fourth one when she approached me. Once I started reading it, I got pulled so completely into the world, I wound up staying up way later than I really should have.
It was really good to see Alina in this book. I was left with some confusion about how there was a fourth Solsti, given the knowledge of the fourth sister, but I was glad to see that the author had an explanation for what happened that made sense.
I found myself really connecting emotionally to Alina as a character. I was able to emphasise with her, especially when she was meeting her sisters for the first time. And it was also really good to see glimpses of the other characters I knew from the previous books.
One of my favourite parts of this book was the relationship between Alina and Sebastian. I really like relationships between chosen family and this was portrayed really well, I felt. The chemistry between Caine and Alina was real and I found myself really rooting for them as a couple.
I liked seeing more of what the four sisters could do, both working together and on their own. The undead soldiers were creepy, but by the end of the book, I felt more sorry for them than anything else.
It was good to see Rosa again, although I’m still not sure exactly what her goal was through the course of the book. Still, it was nice to see that she wasn’t ignored when she needed help and it was good to see Brooke and Nicole in particular so comfortable in their element.
It was good to see that the series isn’t just about the paranormal romance and does also focus on the bonds between the characters. They felt like living, breathing people to me.
I liked the ending of the book, but there are still storylines and characters I would like to see more of. I would definitely want to read stories centred around some of the more minor characters.
In the fourth and final full length book in the Solsti series, we finally figure out what happened all those years ago to the youngest Bonham sister. Everyone believed Alina died when she was about two years old but little did they know that Alina wasn’t human and couldn’t be treated with human medicine. She needed magic, and she got it but at a price. Caine is a Lash demon with a photographic memory and he was on assignment in the last book to catalogue stolen items at a criminal’s house. He meets Alina there and knows there’s something different about her. She’s a thief and a damn good one, but they later get separated. They meet again in this book and he wants answers. It also happens to be the fertile time of year for many demons and other supernatural creatures, so Caine’s sex drive is on high alert. Alina is one of the strongest and level-headed of the four sisters. She controls the element of the earth, meaning she can open craters in the ground, uplift trees, create dirt storms, build mountains, and do a number of other awesome things. The chemistry between Alina and Caine is volatile and believable. They both fall hard and fast, especially Caine, but she has a life-altering secret she’s scared to tell him. I loved all the scenes with Alina, her sisters and her grandparents. Even though Alina loves her adopted father, she wanted and needed her sisters too. The finale (fight scene) has been building for the last four books. I totally enjoyed it but I did have a little trouble keeping track of all the characters involved since there were so many. I definitely recommend this book and series for anyone who wants to read a good demon romance. 5 Stars

Shannon’s Review On Wicked Ground is not a standalone book. You would need to read the following, which I highly recommend you do, first. Here is the list. 1. Wicked Wind 2. Wicked Waves 3. Wicked Flames 4. Kissed by a Demon Spy 5. Wicked Ground All of these are awesome books. Sharon does such a great job in writing these paranormal books. I believe Wicked Ground is the last book and I am so sad to see this series go. I fell in love with the very first one I read and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the others. Wicked Ground is about a girl who comes into finding her family with also finding new love. Alina is a feisty, cunning, gorgeous girl. She has to be to do some of things she does. She comes from a life of being a thief and robbing people. She meets a guy one night who, I hate to say this but, rocks her world. I know that’s cliché but it’s true. He turns her life upside down but in a good way. Caine is freaking HOT. Omg to be in the hideaway tunnel with him instead of Alina. You will get that when you read it and you will say the same thing. Caine is a lash watcher and he doesn’t ever see Alina coming either. I’m not going into detail but the comradery between them is funny and sexy. They are perfect for each other. This book is well written and kept me turning the page to see what happened next. It’s a great ending to a great series. I am giving this book 4.5 hearts.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first started this series, I think I flew through the first two books in two days. I couldn’t get enough of them. The author does such a great job of making a testosterone laden alpha male that is completely drool-worthy and yet at the same time, a complete soft-hearted sucker for his mate. She creates memorable women that are strong enough to handle all the testosterone, and balance their men with softness. At the same time, the women have powers that have not been seen in the world of Torth for hundreds of years and are relegated to distant myth, and their men are part of a race of demons called the Lash Demons who are dedicated to protecting them. The world of Torth is so vastly different than ours (two-headed bluejays, anyone?) and yet the author does an incredible job of describing it so I could see it in my head as I was reading. The best part of the entire book was the after word, when the author wrote there would be further books about some of the side characters. Yes! This isn’t quite the end.
I squealed when I finally got my hands on this book! I have been waiting for Solsti #4 to come out and play!
Alina has no memory of her childhood, the first thing she remembers is her "father" finding her in a cave. Unlike her fellow Solsti, she grew up in another realm, so all the paranormal/supernatural stuff wan't a surprise to her. It was what she knew.
She is on a job when things start falling into place for her to realize who she is and what she is meant to do and become.
Alina has an insta-family, and finds the man of her dreams, but loving him comes with a price, so she tries to push him away. On this aspect, she didn't try very hard in my opinion, but I'm a little glad of that, she knew where she would end up, and this meant the hard to get game didn't drag on.
I honestly expected more as far as the threat and battle scene, but also glad it didn't drag on.
This book had me pulled in and unable to put the book down, turning each page as fast as i could, eager to find out what happened next.
There are 4 Solsti females that are linked by blood and able to control the elements; air, water, fire and earth.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Wicked Wind (Solsti Prophecy, #1) Wicked Waves (Solsti Prophecy #2) Wicked Flames (Solsti Prophecy #3)
Alina has the gift of Earth. She has no memory of her life before she was 10 when she was adopted by a vampire and taught to become a thief to survive. Caine meet Alina during an assignment but she got away before he could really talk to her. When they meet up again she is hurt and he takes her back to HQ to get checked out. Little does he know she is the missing Solsti sister. But what no one knew was her being alive came with conditions. How long will she tempt fate and what happens when she breaks the one condition that is keeping her alive?
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
Talk about a build up to what turns out not to be the finish! Which is a good thing. Find last Solsti, find her adoptive faster. Then figure out how she died at age 2, yet lived, but doesn't remember anything from before age 12. Weird. She saved by a Watcher after a dark elf battle in a club, and learns she is the Solsti of Earth. Meets her sisters and their mates, and some crazy things happen when she goes to train. And then... The war. With some even crazier things that happen. Rosa to the rescue though. WOW! This one even put me in tears once. On to the Watchers!
Dude, I was not prepared for this one to be the last one. Yes, I know, four sisters, fourth book, but dammit, I was hoping. AND for that hope, I find out that yes, this is the end of the particular series based on our lovely solsti sisters, BUT it's not the end. There's MORE to come! Thank you sweet baby Jesus. LOL Ms Sharon is going to continue to give some lovely mates to those other big bad Lash Demons who've helped our sexy men protect the sisters for the while. And I can't wait to read the first book, because the big mean scary leader is who it's gunna be about!!! Oh man. I am all pumped up. Bit I'm ahead of myself, let me tell you all about this one LOL.
Ms Sharon wrapped up everything in a lovely bow, pretty wrapping papers, and it still caught me off guard, with a bang at the end!! Alina is alive, and she's a solsti, but how has she been living all this time when the three sisters REMEMBER burying her. She died. And wow, this explanation is AWESOME and blew my mind. Well played!! And now, not only does Alina need to get her memories back of the first several years of her life, but she needs to figure out who she is, why she feels the need to find those three women, and who's chasing her all over. Oh and she needs to fulfill a prophecy and save the world. LOL
And Caine just wants her. He can't let her go, even though he doesn't even know her name. And he just can't get her out of his mind, or her scent from his nose. He's had it rough, but he is still optimistic, and I totally give him props for this. He's one of the funnest of the men, because he likes to joke, and he can be laid back and sweet sometimes. He's not all intense, all the time. Though when he is, you should watch yourself. And when he find Alina, and saves her, and can't help himself but bringing her to his home, it's a complete whirlwind spiral from here. : )
I still can't believe this one was the end. That huge climatic fight I've been dying to see, well I wasn't disappointed at all. I say the fight scenes were amazing. BUT please tell me Ria is gunna be ok!! And thank you for giving me all the ladies and gentlemen wrapped up. LOL I have a full heart with the way the series finished and I really really can't say enough about the awesome writing. I mean, if the writing wasn't even half as good, who would read the whole series! I love the style the author has come into and I really can't wait to read more! And as bittersweet as it is to say goodbye, I know we'll be seeing them every once in a while in the new spin off series!! I will try to be patient while I wait for that one to come out!!!! Gimme gimme. LOL 5 AMAZING MAGICAL FANTASTICAL PAWS!!
Alina has had a hard life, she was found in a cave when she was a child by her now adoptive father who just happens to be a vampire. Although she longs to know why she was living in a cave and who her family is she loves her adoptive father even though they've had to learn to steal in order to make it. But when Alina makes the decision to scry for her family she unknowingly puts herself and her family in harms way.
Caine wants to know more about Alina when he sees her so he talks to her when they find themselves at the same place. But when she gets hurt he takes her to a healer to get medical attention and that's when things really get interesting. He's a Lash Demon just like her sister's mates which makes him big, powerful and good looking.
When Alina finds out she is the missing 4th Solsti sister and gets to finally meet her sisters, the emotions flowed right off the pages and right into my eyes. That one scene brought tears to my eyes and when an author can write a scene so touching that it makes me really feel it, you know you are reading a great book.
I really liked that Alina had so much fun with her new found powers and that she didn't seem to have as much difficulty mastering them as some of her sisters did in previous books. Everything seems to be going good until Alina finds out something about her childhood and how that it could stop her from getting the happily ever after she hoped to have. I simply loved Alina, she has been through a lot but takes everything that's thrown at her in stride and Caine is so swoon worthy. I really thought they made the perfect pair and so many obstacles were thrown in their way that it really had me rooting for them. So do they get their happily ever after? You'll just have to read this book to find out.
If you like demons, witches, ghosts, vampires and paranormal abilities then you'll love this book. It's the last book in the Solsti Prophecy series so I would recommend you start with the first book, Wicked Wind.
4.5 I really like this series. I think Sharon contacted us in 2013 to review the first book in the series. I jumped at the chance because how can you go wrong with sexy demons who fall for human women? This is the last book in this series but I read there will be a spin-off series so I am very excited about that. In the previous three books we met, Nicole, Brooke and Gin, sisters with special talents. Nicole can control the wind and air, Brooke can control water and Gin can control fire. Thinking they were human all their lives, it was a real wake up call when they were told they are a special breed of women called, The Solsti. Finding their true mates, they are all finally happy and together but each feel like someone is missing. Their baby sister died when she was just an infant but they all still connected to her. Alina doesn't remember anything before the age of twelve, that is when her new father found her in a cave. Living her life on the run with her father and being a thief is the life she knows. Having a sense of something pressing on her mind causes her to make a huge mistake. Caine, a Lash demon, first saw Alina when she was trying to steal from the host of the party. Since their chance run in, he has thought about nothing but her so seeing her at a club one night is the best thing that's happen to him in a long time. When Alina gets hurt, he does everything he can to take care of her and protect her. Learning who and what she truly is, is an eye opening experience for Alina. Having the family she always wanted makes her life complete. But having the one thing she wants above everything else can cause her new life to end in the most unexpected way.
We are at the final showdown on the series and it was ultimate. The sisters deal with things in their own way but what I love about them is the fact that they are girls and act as such. They know how to push buttons and get what they want.
Alina and Caine are different than the others. Alina has learned how to take care of herself by being a theif but she doesn't really know what she is capable of. When she originally meets Caine, it wasn't under the circumstances that she would have liked but the feelings were there and it was different from what she had felt before.
Caine was an alpha demon who had things in the past that made him want to family with the white picket fence but he had one goal that was stopping him from getting there, until he met Alina.
When the sisters finally meet, they are in for more than what they could possibly imagine. Alina's father plays a more vital role than they all could imagine and Alina's life is more fragile than anyone could imagine. Will her role be more vital than anyone knows? Will she get the white picket fence?
Sharon has once again given us a fabulous story and the battle couldn't have been better for the sisters to reunite. All of the story lines given were wonderful finding the powers and using them to defeat the crazy demons but this story was different. It just not the demons that need to be defeated but the one thing that each of the girls treasure so much. The lash demons are there to protect them with everything they have and I love each of them. I anxious for the next story to continue so we get to know the demons better!!

Three sisters are meant to fulfill a prophecy and each one commands a different element…fire, wind, and water. The element of earth is the only one absent, and the fourth sister died as a baby. Alina was found in a cave at the age of twelve and adopted by a vampire. She knows she has a family somewhere; she can feel it. She has heard the legend of the Solsti, but never in her dreams did she imagine it could be her.
Alina leads an interesting life. Her adopted father is a vampire and she makes her living as a thief to survive. She is small in stature, but big on smarts and bravery. When the Lash warrior Caine encounters her she becomes his obsession. Caine has lost everyone he ever loved. He wants a mate; someone to love and make him whole. Alina and Caine have a physical chemistry that make the pages sizzle, and I love the way they interact with each other.
I have enjoyed every single Solsti book immensely. Kay has really hit the jackpot with these stories. Strong heroines and sexy alpha warriors are just the tip of the iceberg with these novels. There is heart stopping excitement, and moments that will warm your heart. On Wicked Ground is really creative; just like the other books in the series. She paints a vivid picture of other realms for readers to feast upon. Did I mention they are sexy as hell? I am sad the Solsti Prophecy has reached the end, but I am so excited for what Sharon Kay has in store for her readers next.
