Mia, an enticing cam model, becomes trapped in the digital glamour-and-existential-dread web. The tale starts with Mia at her place, interacting with her online audience, unaware that the emotional gulf between her and her husband, Chris, was getting bigger. While she was performing seductively for her viewers, Chris was grappling with jealousy and frustration, feeling neglected and that Mia's online persona was overshadowing him. Their relationship fades as Mia goes deeper virtual at the expense of their marriage, leading to an altercation that compels her to leave home and find herself.
While driving alone in a forest drive, a ghostly figure appears in the middle of the road, with which she accidentally collides. She veers off the road and crashes into the ditch. Following the crash, Mia takes refuge in a bizarre resort where time and reality seem distorted. The resort has strange guests who speak in riddles. While Mia is trying to figure out this strange place, she talks to the host lady, who convinces her to start a new life by suggesting that Mia must go through a frightening mirror to get what she wants.
At the resort, Mia undergoes psychological tribulations and tries to come to terms with her identity and the repercussions of her decisions. The orb, a hostile drone-like entity, is always threatening her. In the course of her talks with other guests, among them a man who offers her hints about their lives, Mia begins to doubt the world she lives in and the concepts of time and free will. The guests, wrapped in their own cycles of influence and desire, mirror Mia's struggles with her past decisions and her craving for connection.
At the crescendo of the story, Mia confronts the host lady, demanding to be informed about her situation. She clarifies that Mia's turning point was her life as a cam model, and this is only the beginning. She tells Mia she must pass through a hellish mirror to become a new digital self, or else she will wander the Resort forever. When confronted with her fears and desires, Mia decides to go through the portal/mirror, symbolizing her letting go of the old world and acceptance of the new one.
