A silent child. A cold enforcer. A nanny who won’t back down.
They call me Sledge for a reason. As Enforcer for the Steel Demons, I don’t fix problems—I end ’em. In my line of work, feelin’ things gets you killed.
Except I’ve got one weakness. I’m a single dad.
My daughter, Zoya, hasn’t spoken in four damn years, and I’d spill blood before I let anyone hurt her again. So when I let a nanny step foot in my house, I’m already braced.
Eliana doesn’t fit my world— all sunshine smiles and a fancy degree she thinks can fix what life broke. I want her gone.
But Zoya doesn’t.
My kid lights up around her. And not long after, so do parts of me I thought were dead.
Turns out I had Eliana wrong. When my past comes sniffin’ around and Zoya’s in the crosshairs, she doesn’t bolt. She stands with us—like she was always meant to be my ol’ lady.
And anyone dumb enough to come after my family? They’re about to learn exactly why they call me Sledge.
"Sledge " is the 14th installment in the gripping "Steel Demons MC" series. Get ready for rugged bikers, forbidden desires, and irresistible allure. While each book in the series offers a standalone happily ever after for the couple, it's recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.
It honestly doesn’t feel possible that Sledge is already book 14 in the Steel Demons MC series, and yet here we are, and Sarina Hart is still delivering exactly what longtime readers come for. I’ve read every installment, and if there’s one thing that stays consistent, it’s her knack for writing those dangerous, possessive, bad-boy alphas who somehow still have a code, a heart, and that ride-or-die devotion that makes this series so addictive. If there’s a crown for this particular brand of romance, she wears it.
What I’ve always loved about Steel Demons is that it’s not just bikes and bravado. The books bring the MC action, drama, suspense, and high-heat romance, but there’s also a running theme that makes this series stand out: the women these men fall for usually aren’t the stereotypical “biker babe” types. They’re often smart, capable, career-driven, and in ways that feel high-profile or unexpected for an outlaw world. They can stand on their own, until life proves even the strongest people still have soft spots. That balance of strength and vulnerability is where Sarina Hart shines, because it feels real… and it makes the love stories hit harder.
Sledge is a perfect example of that signature mix: gritty when it needs to be, emotionally satisfying, and packed with that “don’t mess with mine” energy the Steel Demons do best. Sledge and Eliana do sort of stroll into their relationship, as there are sparks from the start, but they still have to fight for the realness of it, and the stakes aren’t just emotional. What I appreciated most is that they’re a team from the start. Their shared love for Zoya and the urgent need to keep her safe forces them into alignment fast, but it never feels forced. It feels like two people recognizing, almost immediately, that survival, physical and emotional, works better when you stop standing alone.
There’s a brief moment of hesitation, that flicker of “is this a good idea?”… but only briefly. Because once these two lock in, it’s steady, protective, and deeply satisfying to watch. And of course, the MC brotherhood shows up exactly the way you want it to; loyal, relentless, and ready to burn down anything that threatens their own.
If you’re a fan of the series, Sledge delivers the full Steel Demons experience: brotherhood, danger, heart, and a romance that proves opposites can make the most perfect match.

*Sledge* is the 14th book in the *Steel Demons MC* series. Sledge is a very protective father to his young daughter, Zoya. Unfortunately, due to being neglected by her biological mother, Zoya is traumatized and has not spoken since. Now, Sledge is searching for a new nanny, which is when he meets Eliana, a specialist in helping kids who have experienced childhood trauma. From the very beginning, Zoya and Eliana form a bond that grows stronger over time. Alongside this, the connection between Sledge and Eliana also deepens.
When danger threatens Zoya, both Sledge and Eliana will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. I completely fell in love with Sledge, Eliana, and Zoya. The story is truly heartfelt, showcasing the emotional needs and the understanding each character has for the others, as well as the bonding and safety they provide during the healing process.
The pacing is fast but not rushed, particularly in the character development and the slow-burning romance between Sledge and Eliana. While there is undeniable attraction and chemistry between them, they prioritize Zoya's needs before crossing any lines, allowing the tension and sparks to build.
The mystery and suspense surrounding the danger kept me on my toes, and I loved seeing the Steel Demons MC brothers come together, showcasing the support of the found family that the true brotherhood of the MC brings. As always, I look forward to the next book in the series!

Sledge & Eliana are amazing, but Zoya steals the show!
What a heartwarming story this one was! Amazing plot and two swoon-worthy MCs that are perfect for each other. But to be honest, it’s Sledge’s sweet daughter that steals the show! Sledge is a single dad. He found out that his ex (an incarcerated addict) had his daughter and he took full custody of her. That was when Zoya was three – now she is seven. But Zoya is traumatized by something Sledge has no idea of and the result is her suffering of selective mutism. When his last nanny is unable to continue coming, his club brothers find Eliana Moreno – a Ph.D. candidate with a masters in child psychology and development and recommend her a potential nanny. Sledge is reluctant to say at least regarding her – more like grumpy and hostile is more accurate, because he doesn’t believe she can really help. But Zoya takes a liking to Eliana. Eliana is exactly what both Zoya and Sledge need. Her own traumatic past is what makes her understand Zoya and being able to really help. Soon, Sledge finds himself attracted but also impressed by Eliana and her developing heartfelt relationship with his precious daughter. So, when danger closes in and Zoya’s past threatens their newfound, special family, Sledge will stop at nothing to protect them both. I couldn’t get enough of the story and I finished it in one sitting! 5 stars.

Sledge, a veteran Navy SEAL, is the enforcer for the Steel Demons and a single father. His daughter, Zoya, is seven years old and has barely spoken since he got custody. Zoya was in a situation where her mother was an addict and a criminal. He hires Eliana, a nanny who is getting her doctorate in the children’s art therapy field, but Zoya is not the only one getting attached to the nanny (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). But evil from Zoya’s past finds them, putting the entire club in danger. I thought the pacing and flow were excellent, and that the book was very good. It kept my attention, which is kind of like trying to nail jello to a tree if I haven’t had enough caffeine. Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include child endangerment, violence, language, addiction, discussion of child Unaliving, discussion of overdose, child neglect. TROPES include Nanny/Caregiver, Former Military, Adorable Moppet, Single Dad, Marriage of Convenience.

This was a good interesting story of sledge an older badass biker who’s a single dad to zoya 7 who doesn’t speak due to trauma when little with her drugged birth mom. Sledge gets forced to hire Eliana a young college student who’s becoming a licensed therapist working with children who stop speaking from trauma as his nanny. She knows how they feel because it happened to her. Sledge doesn’t want to like Eliana but sees his daughter come out of her shell with her not talking but more animated and really connecting with her. Then Eliana’s apt is destroyed so she has to move in with sledge for awhile. The attraction is there but he knows he’s too old for her and his lifestyle isn’t the type to touch her world. As they work to figure out what trauma made zoya stop speaking those responsible try to cause trouble and threaten custody so they take steps to stop them leading to more feelings. Spicy, emotional, sweet, exciting and more with a HEA ending.

Sledge is the enforcer for the Steel Demons MC but he is also a single father to a little girls, Zoya that has not spoken in years. He tried all sorts of specialist but none have been able to reach his daughter. When his nanny is injured the club helped him find another, enter Eliana she is working on her doctorate on art aiding in overcoming trauma.
This is a slow burn, the pair but heads often he is not too hard on her as she seems to reach his daughter. When her place is broken into, her moves her in to protect her. It is supposed to be temporary but it does not feel like it. He will do anything to protect both of them. The star of this story is Zoya, her trauma is a living thing but starts to trust Eliana. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Sledge, the MC enforcer, is doing his best to raise his young daughter, Zoya, who doesn’t speak. After exhausting every possible resource to help her, hope finally appears when he meets Eliana. Eliana is a student writing her thesis on selective mutism, and she gently begins working with Zoya to help her find her voice.
As progress is slowly made, a bond forms between Sledge, Eliana, and Zoya—one that is both tender and deeply emotional. All the while, they remain unaware that danger is closer than they realize. This story is incredibly touching, filled with patience, trust, and quiet strength. Zoya absolutely melts your heart, making this a truly unforgettable read.

This book was about survival and overcoming your fears all from a little girl named Zoya. She was the daughter of Sledge, single dad, who is Enforcer for the Steel Demons MC. Sledge was in need of a nanny who would be able to deal with nonverbal Zoya.
Eliana was the perfect nanny for Zoya helping get to the bottom of her not speaking as it was something Eliana had dealt with herself after a tragedy struck her. Sledge was the grumpy dad who loved his little girl to no end. After what Zoya witnessed her life is now on the line. As Eliana and Sledge were trying to protect Zoya they formed a connection with plenty of chemistry.
I loved how this book was such a big page turner that is definitely worth five stars.
This was such a gripping addition to the series and, as a former childcare provider, I was hooked on seeing how things would unfold for little Zoya. Sledge is a single father to a young daughter that hasn't spoken in four years after seeing something traumatic. Eliana gets hired as her nanny who happens to be working on a paper about selective mutism. Her sunny disposition, kindness and caring opened up strong ties between herself and Zoya...along with strong chemistry between herself and Sledge ;P Sadly, danger is coming from those same people responsible for the trauma Zoya witnessed and the stakes are high. I loved this read, and gladly inhaled it, rooting hard for a fab HEA for them all. So good and I can't wait for the next book :D
Zoya, you stole my heart ❤️. This book was so amazing and heartfelt. It fell on a whole other level of MC romances. This one hits you in the feels. Sledge has the most amazing non verbal daughter on this planet. He’s the best dad ever, and the enforcer for his MC. When Eliana steps in as his nanny to work with Zoya, Sledge doesn’t take to her at all. Doesn’t like her sunny disposition. But he soon softens when he sees how much his daughter has taken to her. Soon, they are all as one. And things get chaotic when they find out someone is trying to hurt his daughter. This book was truly amazing. I loved their moments, their connections, and how they all worked together.
This book had all the feels. The poor daughter Zoya who is traumatised and not speaking to anyone but a few words when she has too to her dad Sledge. To her newly appointed nanny who is over protective having gone through her own trauma and years of not speaking. The lengths that Sledge would go to so that he can keep his daughter safe and happy is endearing The ending was sweet and having things come full circle and work out was definitely a great finish. I could not put this book down and highly recommend it for anyone hesitating to read it or new readers of Sarina looking for a good book.
Book 14 of the Steel Demons MC series. While it can be read as a standalone for maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.
'A silent child. A cold enforcer. A nanny who won’t back down.'
The characters were wonderfully written and so very appealing and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building continues to impress and be solidly drawn. All in all another great entry in the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This is not a usual MC storyline and that just made it so much more worth the read. Sledge is the enforcer for the Steel Demons, and as such you would imagine him to be a man, hard as nails, to do or withstand anything to protect his club. He is as expected, but he also has a soft side when it comes to his daughter. When living with her junkie mother, Zoya experienced something so traumatic, that it left her mute. Eliana was the perfect addition to the story as she navigates being a nanny to Zoya and opening her heart to Sledge.
Sledge is book 14 in the Steel Demons MC series. It's Sledge and Eliana's great, single Dad story. These characters definitely have their ups and downs and are so easily relatable. Sledge is a big grouch when it comes to Eliana, the woman he's hired as a nanny but, he's a massive softie when it comes to his daughter Zoya. This story is intriguing, a little intense intense at times and a whole lot consuming. Great addition to the Steel Demons series.
Being a single father to a daughter who has been traumatized and won't speak is hard and your nanny has just fallen down the stairs and broken her arm and leg. So your MC brothers help find 3 women for you to pick from to help with Zoya. The first one gets her to draw and tell her story. They fall in love and things work out.

This is a heart wrencher about healing from trauma. The author did a wonderful job portraying the emotions and information about Sledge’s little daughter. Eliana was a strong character that was not afraid of standing up to him. Sledge fell fast and hard. Very good addition to this fantastic series. Look forward to the next!

Sledge maybe the mcs enforcer but his heart melts when it comes to his daughter Zoya whose been mute for years. Eliana comes into theirnlives as a nanny also a student working on her thesis on mutism, as Eliana and Zoya form a close bond so does Eliana and Sledge, but when enemies close in can they escape whats to come intact. 3.5⭐️. I thought this was a pretty good story. I just felt like it was a race til the end. The last few chapters seemed like the author had to rush to wrap up the story.
Another good addition to this series of books. Good characters and storyline along with good twists and turns plus action and suspense. Keeps your attention.
