The truth is out. The ice is cracking. And this time, we’re playing with everything on the line.
I used to think Luke King was my biggest enemy—now he’s the only one I trust to stand beside me. We’ve fought through lies, betrayals, and a town that thrives on secrets. But some storms don’t pass quietly.
The truth we uncovered didn’t just shake Blackwood—it detonated it. And now the fallout is coming for both of us.
His family. My past. The people pulling strings from the shadows. They’ll do whatever it takes to tear us apart.
But we’re not just fighting to endure—we’re fighting for each other.
Our love was never supposed to survive this place. But it did. And now? It might be the only thing strong enough to save us.
The ice beneath us is thin. One wrong move, and everything we’ve built shatters. But we’ve come too far—and fallen too hard—to let go now.
It’s us against Blackwood. And this time, we’re playing for keeps.
SuddenDeathis a steamy, high-stakes, second-chance hockey romance packed with explosive secrets, slow-burn redemption, and a finale that pulls no punches. Set in an elite academy where reputations are weapons and love breaks all the rules, this gripping installment marks the battle for survival at Blackwood—before everything changes.
Another amazing installation to the hockey romance series! The stakes are getting higher, and the tension is getting thicker in this third book.
I loved Mila and Luke’s romance and was constantly on the edge of my seat every time they have to face another impending obstacle, but I absolutely adored the relationships between the friends. The chemistry and dynamic between Mila and Avery are perfection; they are true bffs. And even the friendship among the guys is heartwarming and very entertaining to read. I always enjoy those scenes the most.
There were a lot more light-hearted scenes in this book. It breaks up all of the harder tension and drama throughout, but it definitely did not limit the amount of high stakes Mila and Luke had to face.
Bonus part: I loved the epilogue chapter! It was a really nice conclusion and a phenomenal plot twist I did not see coming.
If you love sports romance, drama, second chances, secrets-betrayal-redemption arcs, and steamy dark entanglements, reading the Blackwood Blades series is a must!
