Having kept a notebook of interesting quotes for most of my life I am always interested in reading other people’s selection. This one was utterly uninspiring. Not only was there a dearth of new material but many lines were so taken out of context as to be meaningless or confusing.
Besides the lack of new or inspiring material I have two production issues with the book: first that the illustrations are obscure and unattributed and add nothing to the material so far as I can figure out. Second that the page numbers are the same size and in line with the type. Most page numbers are centered at the bottom of the page or in the upper right hand corner of the page. This book has page numbers in alignment with the lower left hand line of type so they often seem to be part of a quote (but of course never are).
There is no excuse for this bad, misleading, and often confusing page design!
I’m sorry I wasted my time and money on this book. Absolutely NOT recommended!!
