There is nothing better than a well loved character getting their happily ever after and L. Wilder does just that with her holiday novella Skid!

Skid grew up in the Satan's Fury Little Rock chapter, the son of the club's enforcer Grim, and his fate at becoming a member of the club seemed inevitable. He was a character that was not to be underestimated when ruthlessness was called for but his natural inclination was one of no judgment and kindness. Skid had the ability to show compassion even while comfortably navigating the grey areas that he came across regularly.

Laken, a single mom struggling to survive, was an inspiration to anyone who has faced hard times. Her fierce devotion to her daughter Baylor was evidence of her strength in the face of adversity. Yet despite all the trials Laken had been faced with she still retained a core sweetness not succumbing to hardness and bitterness that could have easily overtaken her.

The dynamic between Skid and Laken was genuine and direct. This was a case of like being drawn to like. This couple individually and together was caring and attentive. Skid knew what he wanted and pursued Laken with singular focus and Laken, while hesitant at first, found it was impossible for her not to fall for Skid who only had good intentions. The affection and protectiveness Skid showed for not only Laken but her daughter Baylor was touching.

L. Wilder's holiday novellas are truly one of the best parts of the season's festivities each year. This writer's spotlight on something good in a world where dark things occur regularly magnifies the goodness to be found in life. A feel good story that captures the giving spirit of the holidays, Skid is the perfect gift for any lover of well-deserved happiness!

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*

*While this book can be read as a stand-alone reading, the other books in this series would enhance the overall reading experience.*

MC Christmas Sweetness

How could I not fall in love with Skid who is s a member of the Satan’s Fury MC in Little Rock. It was during a rainstorm that he becomes a knight in shining amour to Laken and her daughter Baylor. With that alone I knew that this was going to be something good. They were each what the other needed. This was a sweet Christmas novella that I highly recommend.

Fury Little Rock is back with a heart warming Christmas Short story.

Skid is a biker with a sweet heart. He knows there is something missing in his life.

Laken has had a time of it. A single Mom with an adorable little girl.

This story is sweet with all the Christmas feels you could ask for. Just on time for the most wonderful time of the year.

Skid is the latest addition to L Wilder’s Satan’s Fury MC- Little Rock series and the perfect holiday novella that can be read in one sitting snuggled under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate.

Skid couldn’t be happier with how things in his life are going, but he’s got that little niggle that’s telling him he’s missing something…he’s just not sure what it is. Laken is a struggling single mom that is doing everything in her power to give her daughter a better life than she had. But lately, that’s getting harder and harder to do. Skid doesn’t think twice about stopping during a rainstorm when he sees a broken down car on the side of the road. What he didn’t expect is to lock eyes with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen and her sweet little girl. He instantly knows what he’s been missing…them. Now, he just has to prove to Laken that they belong together and he’s helping her because he wants to, not because she’s a charity case.

This holiday novella is short, but as sweet as the holiday treats we love to eat. Skid is immediately smitten with both Laken and Baylor, and it’s refreshing to see him showing the kind of patience most men nowadays don’t have when it comes to something (or someone) they want. I loved how the Fury women envelope her with open arms and happily accept her as one of their own. Laken was determined to make a life for her and Baylor on her own, but once she realized and accepted the love and help Skid and Fury had to offer things could not have been better, and that sometimes, it’s okay to let someone help. Great read and I can’t wait for more of these Fury-Little Rock men!

DNF. Way to short at 129 pages, it skipped weeks of them dating!

I was really enjoying this book, Skid (REALLY???) and Laken had only recently met. They were just starting to get closer when I turned the page and it’s WEEKS LATER AND THEY’RE MADLY IN LOVE AND SHE’S MET HIS FAMILY! WHAT??? I actually wondered if a big chunk of the book had been missed out, but the numbers on the pages were correct. I wanted to read their first dates and see how he gets on with her daughter, who is how old?? There’s so much missing. HOW OLD IS LAKEN? HOW OLD IS HER DAUGHTER? HOW OLD IS SKID? Laken’s power has been turned off because she got behind with her bills. What do her and her daughter eat? Does she buy cooked food in every day? Do her and her daughter have cold showers every day? None of the Mc are mentioned apart from his dad, they never have church, and I can’t remember reading the other books so I can’t remember who people are. Just before Christmas, there were loads of authors who rushed books out and they’re all really short. They’re so short that they’re all missing loads of details and an actual plot. I’m sorry but it completely spoils it.

Sorry it’s way too short and too many mistakes.

There is no doubt that L. Wilder has me completely under her spell, and this beautiful holiday-season novella only pulls me further under. Skid gives us our next big, bad biker in the Satan’s Fury MC – Little Rock series… but beneath all that grit, leather, and attitude lies the softest marshmallow heart.

When Skid crosses paths with single mom Laken and her sweet little girl, Baylor, everything changes. Laken is a strong, resilient mother doing everything she can to keep a roof over their heads. The night her car breaks down feels like rock bottom—until Skid arrives like a grumpy, biker-shaped Christmas miracle. From the moment he sees them, he knows his life has changed, but convincing Laken that she isn’t a charity case proves easier said than done.

Watching their connection grow into something tender, protective, and real is absolutely priceless. Even more heart-melting is seeing the MC family embrace Laken and Baylor, wrapping them in the loyalty, warmth, and unity that makes this series so addictive.

A perfect, heartfelt holiday read—full of grit, love, family, and the kind of Christmas-season magic only L. Wilder can deliver.

This was a quick read and an enjoyable one.
Skid grew up with the Satans Fury Little Rock chapter. Now that his older he is a member of the club. He is surrounded. Y happy couples, even his own father has found happiness. And thats all he wants.

When his out one night he happens on a car stuck on the side of the road. He meets Laken, a single mom with a adorable little girl who is struggling at the moment.

From the minute he met her and her lite girl, he becomes protective and all he wants to do is help them. But Laken is stubborn, so he has his work cur out for him.

I loved this story. Laken had a heartbreaking past, the father of her child abandoning her and her parents kicking her out. She has done everything she can to take care of her little girl.

Skid was an amazing person. He just wanted a happily ever after. And Laken and her little girl was hia chance. They had amazing chemistry and they both deserved their happy🥰

Skid by L. Wilder was a fun holiday romance. I enjoyed the storyline; it was original, a medium-to-fast-paced romance with the right amount of drama, angst, and spice. I thought the characters were complex, with intriguing backstories that had my heart breaking and swooning throughout this book. I have enjoyed this MC romance and devour each book that L. Wilder puts out in the Satans Fury MC Little Rock series. This book is a standalone but I totally recommend diving into this series. It’s filled with drama, action, and suspense with a little angst, grovel and spice thrown in. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!!

Skid was bossy and a total golden retriever. I loved his instant connection with Laken. He was loyal to his family and determined to get what he wanted. Laken was strong and loved her daughter. My heart broke for her but I loved her resilience in this book. Their chemistry was intense and undeniable and I loved the instant connection they had. Such a feel-good holiday biker romance!!! 4.5 stars-by Brooke

Another great addition to the Satan's Fury Little Rock series. L.Wilder never disappoints.

One chance meeting can change everything. Laken is down on her luck. She is a single mother trying her best to make ends meet. Skid comes across a broken down car on the side of the road and stops to offer a hand. He didn't realize that him stopping to help would change everything for him.

Skid does everything he can do help Laken and her daughter but Laken has a hard time excepting that help. She doesn't want Charity or pity from others. What she doesn't realize is her life as well as her daughters will change for the better just as long as she allows the help freely given to her.

This novella is an amazing story that has heart and family in every page you read. If you haven't read the Satan's Fury Little Rock series it is recommended but not necessary. It is a great Christmas addition for anyone to read.

Skid is a great holiday novella in the Fury, Little Rock Chapter series. It’s fast paced and full of holiday cheer and surprises. Skid is 2nd generation Fury. He’s grown up in the club house and has always been content with his life. But lately it’s been like something is missing. He wants a family like he sees his club brothers starting to find. But he’s in no real hurry. But one night when he’s headed home late, he stops to help a young woman, Laken, whose car has stopped on the side of the road. The woman is beautiful and her little girl in the back seat is adorable. Is this a sign? Is Laken the missing piece he’s been searching for? To bad she seems closed off to him as if she’d rather do everything for herself. Can Skid convince her to give him a chance?

Outstanding read, that this reader highly recommends. Grab it up asap, you won’t regret it.

Skid: Satan's Fury MC- Little Rock BY l. WILDER 5 STARS DUE 12/2/25
Skid & Laken + Bayler

Life was good but something was missing—he just didn't Know what. A good deed in a rain storm was the beginning of filling in the missing parts.
Life hadn't been easy for her, but having her sweet daughter was worth it all. She tried to keep it together but so much and now her car in the rain with her little sweet girl. She didn't like to accept help but she had no choice. It wasn't cause he was hot. She didn't trust men.
Both had a lot to learn and so much to gain. Read and enjoy. Plenty of steam. Loyal MC family. Adorable little one and a touching, hot love story. Gonna get a visit from someone you may know.

ENJOY—I SURE DID.

I loved this story of survival. Skid helps the club whenever he can, but his passion is fixing things, and he's good at it. He enjoys life and likes to have a good time. When he's driving home and comes upon a broken-down car, he doesn't realize his life is about to change. Laken hasn't had an easy life, but she will fight tooth and nail for her daughter, even if it means going without. Broken down on the side of the road isn't what she needed, but fate had different plans. Now she's face-to-face with a man who makes her body zing. Skid knows instantly that Laken and her daughter are meant to be his now; he has to prove it. But will fate interfere with what they have and show them a different path? Or will their hearts connect as one?

I greatly enjoyed this novella!
Skid is Grim’s son which had me already knowing I’d love this one! (If you haven’t read his story, you really should.)
While out one rainy night he comes across a broken down car and decides to see if he can help. This is when he first meets Laken and her sweet daughter. Lust at first sight for him. He convinces her to take the ride home he’s offering and then he slowly works his way in.
He’s a perfect gentlemen and absolutely perfect for these two ladies. They act like they’ve been a family forever! This can definitely be considered a holiday story since it covers Thanksgiving and Christmas which is kinda fun!

An absolute wonderful read! It’s always a pleasure being back with Fury! A broken down car on the side of the road brings this little family together. Skid realizes pretty quick that Laken and Baylor is what he’s been missing out on and takes steps to secure this relationship. He’s so sweet with Laken and Baylor! I think it’s awesome that he thinks how things will affect Laken and her independence! There’s family in every page of this book and it’s just a fantastic story! Absolutely loved it and enjoyed every page! Very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Sometimes, all it takes for your life to change, is being in the right place at the right time. Skid was feeling restless with his life. He was happy but felt he was missing something. When he happened upon a broken-down car, he did not hesitate to offer help. Little did he realize at that time that Laken would change his world and steal his heart. This was a heartwarming story that features Skid, Laken, and her daughter, Baylor, along with the rest of the Fury crew. The sparks were there from the beginning, but Skid just had to convince Laken that they were the perfect couple and were destined for happiness. This is a great novella featuring all the beloved Fury members and their loved ones. A definite must read!

This is book #8 of The Satan's Fury Mc Little Rock and a christmas story as well. Its a super fast read and insta love story with Skid and let me tell you Lakken isn't a push over and will give him a run for his money and her precious daughter will melt your hearts. Lakken was 19 and pregnant and had to raise her daughter on her own and learn not to count on anyone until a rainy night and her car breaks down when she meets Skid and sparks fly but will she let him get close to her? I throughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. it's really a wonderful Christmas story. congratulations Leslie Wilder on a fantastic book.

This is the 8th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Skid and Laken’s story.
Laken is a struggling single mom to her adorable little girl Baylor, and she just wants to give her daughter a better life. When Laken’s car breaks down at the side of the road, Skid comes to her rescue.
This is a well written easy to read story with found family, friendships, emotions, humour, witty banter, action, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable, cute insta love story with all of the Christmas feels.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

As someone who has loved the previous books in this series, I went into this installment with excitement, and it delivered and did not disappoint! The story builds smoothly on what came before, with characters who feel more developed and a world that continues to grow in interesting ways. The pacing is strong, balancing character moments with plot progression, and it kept me engaged throughout. Overall, this was a satisfying continuation of this series and a rewarding read for longtime fans. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book!

I absolutely love everything L Wilder writes! Skid is a big ol softy when he meets "his girls" Laken and her daughter Baylor on the side of the road when their car breaks down. Laken is a struggling single mom doing her best to give her daughter everything she needs. There is an instant attraction between Skid and Laken and he is determined to win her over. The 3 of them make such a wonderful little family and I loved getting glimpses of the MC family. This whole series is wonderful and I hope it keeps going.

I loved this story! Skid knew that Laken was special from the outset. He rescued her and her daughter, Baylor. He was so protective and patient with her. Laken worked at a better life for Baylor though things were still very poor. The love and trust between mother and daughter was so sweet. As Skid took care of the two, love, trust, and acceptance grew. The support from the club added to this story. I had moments of tears, and my heart became involved. Well worth the read.

I received a copy through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Right Place Right Time

When Skid stops yo.help a stranded driver on the side of the road he never expected to meet his woman but there is just something about Taken and her daughter Baylor that draws him in. Lake has had it rough but she is making it work but when she meets Skid aka Thatcher she feels their instant connection and she can't help being drawn in by how sweet he his with her daughter. This rough biker is showing his softer side for her and she can't say no to him in this sweet holiday tale.

Great!

I chose this rating because it was a pretty good book. This was a pretty good book, I enjoyed this book. This was a book of compassion, kindness, understanding, protection, and falling in love. I enjoyed Skid and Laken story and how they met. They met by chance when he helped her out. The author did an amazing job putting these characters together. They fell in love and he also fell in love with her little girl. He was in such a great brotherhood with the guys. They were just a call away. Great read, I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.

I loved it

This is the first book I have read by L wilder and it was amazing. It had everything you want in a feel good romance book. It was a like a Hallmark movie with the Satans Fury MC. This author is very talented! I had not read any of the other books in this series but I understood who everyone was and what they did. This book had such a great storyline and the ending was perfect. I highly recommend this book and this author. I’m off to buy and read the rest of her books.

Skid and Laken were a nice surprise! As a single mom, Laken is trying to make a life for her and her daughter but can't seem to catch a break. That is until her beat up old Carolla breaks down in the rain. Skid to the rescue! The connection is there from the start and we see them start to create something beautiful. Being a novella, this is a really quick read with no drama. Would love to see more from them soon though!

Definitely feeling the holiday vibes with this one! Skid saves Laken and her daughter one night when her car breaks down. What Laken has been through and how she protects her daughter immediately made me adore her. Skid, with his protective, gentle nature was perfect. The romance was quick as this was a shorter book but we get to see many of the Brothers and even Sergei. Overall, low angst, lots of heart and a wonderful read.

This perfect had all the holiday feels…
I love everything L Wilder writes and this book is no different.
Skid knows there is something missing from his life but he’s not sure what… he has seen his brothers find their happiness and until he gets his, he doesn’t realise that that was what was missing.
Laken & Baylor have not had a great life, as soon as they get on their feet something else happens until they meet Skid, it’s then all turns around.

I’ve loved Skid (Thatcher) since his early days as Grim’s son and The Fury’s prospect, this story gives him the perfect moment to shine. Laken’s strength as a single mother was amazing, and Baylor completely stole the story. Their connection with Skid is tender, hopeful, and exactly what a holiday romance should feel like.

This is a sweet, emotional HEA for Skid who truly deserved it.

Skid and Laken’s story will steal your heart. I love this authors ability to have alpha males with a soft side without them looking weak. This book consumed me and I wasn’t able to put it down. Nothing says Christmas than a down on your luck single mum and a biker that comes to her rescue. Definitely 5 stars.
