ONLY LOVE CAN ILLUMINATE THE DARKEST PLACE ON EARTH

After captivating thousands of readers with Auschwitz Lullaby, Mario Escobar once again gazes into the abyss of the concentration camps to bring us this great love story that will leave an unforgettable mark on our hearts.

1943. In the midst of horror, a beautiful song rises above Auschwitz. It is the voice of David, a young Jewish man with prodigious talent who has been assigned to carry the bodies of victims to the crematorium ovens. His melody reaches the ears of a Nazi officer who is instantly enchanted. Yet he will not be the only one to admire that gift. Helen Spitzer, one of the prisoners in charge of cleaning the soldiers’ uniforms, has also noticed him.

Soon, feelings begin to grow between the two prisoners—feelings that seem forbidden in a place like this. But the arrival of a new doctor to the camp threatens to tear them apart. The ruthless Dr. Mengele has taken an interest in Helen and wants her to assist him with his macabre experiments… Tragedy and love will bind David and Helen together, but Nazism will remind them that, for people like them, any day could be their last.
