This one continues the slow burn in pretty much the same place as the last one. It feels like a comic strip, where the plot moves along very slowly and simply, but it still keeps you engaged and wanting more. Maybe that’s exactly the point and what the creative team is going for, as this hero was a comic strip since 1936, and what better way to pay homage to that than to make the new ongoing comic feel as much like the old newspaper strip as possible? I just hope there’s some serious ass kicking on the other end of all this planning, as so far The Phantom seems to be more about skulking and jumping around then actually taking out these douche nozzles, though I suspect that won’t be for long.
