The name of the game for this book is “We are JUST FRIENDS!”
Twin sisters Cordelia and Julia are celebrating their 40th birthday in a cute, witchy Nashville neighborhood when they learn that they are Royalty. Not Buckingham Palace and garden-party-hats royalty… No. They are the heirs to the Elvish Royal Throne!!! And their grandfather is ready to accept them into his lonely aged life. What happens next is a bunch of royal silliness, heartfelt family moments, and a shitton of snark! And lest you think it’s all fun and games being a princess (and falling in love—I mean: being “just friends”—with some lowling elf on the King’s payroll), wait until you meet the ass-hats who WOULD inherit the throne if Julia and Cordelia weren’t in the way…
I was enchanted with this story. I love the realness of the family relationships and the magic. As far as I’m concerned, these people are real, and any day now I’m going to find my way to Nashville and the Crossroads to meet them all. But the best part of this book is the author’s infectious voice! Larkey is a master of hilarity. Every one of her characters shines with wit! This is a fun and cozy first installment of what I hope will be a long, hilarious series. Bravo on this debut!

A dream realized
This book was so whimsical and hilarious!! It had good pacing and I was invested! Cannot wait for the 2nd book! JJ Parody has a fan in me!
