Briar.
My world sent out an eviction notice, sending me careening through the stars, dumping me in a new world where I am doing my best to figure out what’s next. To my surprise, I am developing feelings for a seriously hot pink alien, and no matter how hard I try to push them aside, life, the cosmos, or whoever is running my fate forces me to make a decision. Do I take this chance? Should I reveal my feelings, risking the possibility of losing his friendship if he doesn’t return my affections? Or be forever frustrated with my indecisiveness. Will I continue to hide behind my own insecurities, or will I be brave enough to do whatever it takes?

BuK
From the moment she stepped off that ramp, I knew my life was changed forever. Her arrival has done nothing but turn me into a male who constantly longs for her inner light to return because my heart aches in her absence. To keep from spiraling into despair when she leaves each rising. I record every smile and the sound of her laughter in my mind so I can replay them later when darkness falls and I am alone. Then unforeseen events forced me to confront the desires of my heart, and all I can do now is pray to the Lord of Light, hoping I won’t have to watch her walk away again.

This storyline ends in a HEA, but continues on throughout the remaining series as each book concentrates on a particular couple. Have questions? Keep reading, all will be revealed….

I like Sci-fi tales because anything goes, and it's not weird. The world that Jennifer has created is full of modern technology, along with AIs that are more than they seem. The story is told in multiple POV, which makes the story more immersive. There is action, a variety of aliens; some are truly evil, and others are just big, deadly teddy bears. What a great and original read! It is heartbreaking, sad, loving, and heart-warming, with some fun moments.

BuK is the eighteenth book in the Daverius, House of DAR series, and BuK and Briar's story. Now I have to wait patiently for the next book.

Book 19 in this series was fun

Jennifer Julie Miller always manages to keep the story of what happens to humans after some are kidnapped from Earth and the majority were fixed to escape Earth and the planet dies due to global warming and destruction of the planet’s resources. DaRs 23 sons are mating with the human females and this one about Laceie’s best friend Briar who has been living in a beautiful pod and falling for the pink alien BuK. When a planet dies an floats in front of the 2 suns instant winter cause BuK and Briar to be stranded in an unheated unfinished pod as they are setting it up for one of the human females not interested in the men. Already falling for each other their trials a tribulations mark what makes them a cute couple and resilient despite their many differences. Favorite parts HaL who looks like the abominable snowman meeting the women who
Scream or just stand in shock. Second favorite this beautiful ring 💍 pink and blue

I love when I get to go back to DaR’s world…yeah, it’s definitely his world, we’re all just living in it. This is one of my favorite series. Every time I finish a book I ”patiently” wait for the next book…ok…not so patient. I am obsessed with this series. Every book is so different, every son is so different, the only thing they have in common is they are all DaR’s sons. And we got another one of his rainbow muscle sons, and I do think he is the most romantic one, the romantic sweet talker is how I like to refer to BuK. I said awe so many times throughout this book, he is such a sweetie, and romantic sweet talker. BuK whispers, “I lost my heart when you walked in.”…you see what I mean, and he’s so sincere, it’s all very heartwarming, every single time. He’s just so smitten with her. I definitely see how he stole her heart, because he definitely stole mine too. Of course she’s pretty smitten with him too, so it’s two sided. We have the first wedding on Ethra, and most everyone shows up for it. I loved it. I also really loved her conversation with Keida when she was getting ready for the wedding about everyone, and especially Danny….all very enlightening. This book had a lot of interesting and enlightening information, like one of DaR’s rainbow sons looks like the Abominable Snowman, or aka a yeti…I had no idea, and yes, all of us humans were in quite the shock and awe. But HaL is the sweetest, they definitely needed him in this book.

This was another great fast paced storyline with a mushy gushy amusing couple that gave you all the giggles and all the emotional feels. I adored these two, they are so funny together, especially her, quite entertaining. We get to see our favorites from the series, which I always love. Scout my protective love, kinda dropped the ball on this whole weather situation. Of course he’s been focusing on finding more humans…so all is forgiven…and we are not breaking up “winks”. And it all turns out well, well for the most part…and again there’s an Abominable Snowman son…how cool is that, am I right? Fantastic book, and fantastic series, I cannot say enough about the mushy gushy love I have for this book crack series that I am obsessed with and cannot get enough of. I always want more…next book please and thank you.

A sweet addition

This is book 19 in the series. I am enjoying reading all the books in the DaR series. I feel like part of the family when I venture back into this universe. This story features Briar and BuK. It’s a sweet story but it felt short, rushed, and light on the storyline. There is a happy ending for now. Read On!

Another great read🌟

Briar and Buk have been on the same page for quite some time now but neither knew it. A weird snow cold front helps with that. And we meet a new brother! Enjoy
