Marsh Bride: A Dark, Spicy Monster Romance

Rate this book
Dr Eleanor Harper came to the marsh to collect water samples.
The marsh had been waiting for her.

What she was sent to monitor as a “local phenomenon” is not a rumour, a myth, or a data anomaly. He is seven feet of scaled, amphibious obsession, ancient, territorial, and very aware that she does not belong here. The mist breathes. The water warms. Something coils around her ankles with deliberate intent.

Her doctorate did not prepare her for being watched, assessed, and quietly claimed by a creature who has spent a century alone beneath the surface, and who has very clear ideas about ownership, proximity, and maintenance of human researchers.

A dark monster romance featuring obsession, territorial devotion, and enthusiastic non-human attention.

So this romance was interesting I don't know where to start. From Eleanor going to the marsh land to do research and knowing something was different and wrong the first day. Then being intimate with something she can't see. But finally that something comes out and it's basically a marsh monster who's name is "mike" lol. Not only their love story weird but also just scientific lol. I think "Mike " just couldn't control himself. Her picking him over her research she worked so hard for was actually very surprising but things happen you didn't think would and falling for him definitely wasn't on the list. It was kinda funny how he was scientific about everything but didn't understand love fully until she explained that feeling. I think the most surprising part was the end with "mike" it actually left me in a state of shock after he explained but I wonder is this it . It's a very cute romance story but I want to know a bit more. Who knows I'm just glad it was entertaining and sweet lol.

I'm sorry to say this. but this book was terrible. and it's a shame. the idea of the book is super interesting and kinda hot.
but it was written so bad!
" the entity just..." something that was already explained. passages were used multiple times.
all of a sudden the name Mike was dropped... who is Mike? in a scene where it was only her and the monster.
I did not finish this book. made it halfway through hoping it would get better

if 7’ monster men are your cup of tea…

Then you will drink the whole pot!
I love these types of books. Some unhinged union of monsters and there lucky ladies.
Is it a literary masterpiece no but it is hot right of the gate. Lots of $mut little plot but you really love the couple in the end.
10/10 if you like your monsters tall dark and… wet

A Fun and spicy read

This is a good, quick read for any monster romance reader! It was a lot of spice and a little bit of plot! It's a monster romance, and will definitely have you going back to make sure you read what you read! I enjoyed it and will be reading the next!

Did a single editor look at this book? I kept feeling like I was reading something that an early version of Chat GPT would have put together, with all the painful errors. There was a ton of potential to this, but it was rough.
