•fae x human except they’re both girls and the fae didn’t know she was a fae and is genuinely the sweetest girl to exist and the human is the baddest and best and is the fine shyt •the fmc would do anything and give up her life for the other fmc •the slow burn of the century basically aisling is a princess but actually a fae and the REAL princess comes and kidnaps aisling to return to the seelie court but aisling just wants to be a princess and a lot more that u can learn by reading the blurb. love yall but im not a blurb and too lazy to pretend to be one.

tysm for reading and all opinions are my own‼️ thanks again netgalley and the author 💗💕
Super cute little sapphic romantasy! A princess finds out she's a changeling when her human counterpart kidnaps her and takes her on a dangerous journey through fae. But things don't go as expected when sparks begin to fly between them...
Adorable with a bit of a grumpy/sunshine dynamic, a cool and dangerous world, and a delightful sapphic rom-com. This graphic novel is the perfect palate cleanser. I received a copy of this book for review via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and First Second Books for the arc copy of this lovely queer fantasy graphic novel. I enjoyed this read! It felt cozy and adventurous all at the same time. The art style was whimsical and pretty. It did feel a little bit insta-love for my taste, but that's very much a personal preference. I will for sure pick this one up for my library when it publishes!
What happens when a princess of a kingdom finds out that she is actually a changeling child? and she meets the REAL princess who had traded spots with her as a baby?
I won't say too much more, but that is how the story of Aisling and Forget-me-not begins, and what a journey!
This was SO GOOD!
I want to start by saying the art was amazing. It was so, so beautiful. I will absolutely be rereading this one multiple times before the pub date. And then, the characters. I loveeeed Aisling and Forget-me-not so much. I think it's always amazing to see how a graphic novel can show the growth of characters with such a limited amount of time, and it was executed so well here. And, I know Forget-me-not is not technically a knight, but I am loving this era of strong swordswomen!!! Give me more lady knights!!! I am obsessed! And I LOVED all the blushing in here!!! SO. DANG. CUTE!
I was not expecting to CRY from this graphic novel, but I somehow found myself reading in my kitchen and the tears wouldn't stop (I am a baby). And the last two pages of illustrations?!? I won't say anything, but all you need to know is that I audibly screamed because the cuteness of it stabbed me through the heart (I am being dramatic, but rightfully so).
Anyways, this was an adorable story between two princesses who mistrusted each other at first, but showed how far they would go to protect each other. I love them so much, and I really hope the author decides to do a spin-off of them, because I already miss them 😭
Thank you netgalley and First Second books for this arc!
Between the beautiful artwork and the queer fairytale vibes, I thought this was lovely! Forgive-Me-Not is about a princess and a changeling on a wild journey to correct a fae scheme that was carried out when they were babies, and it was so fun to see the dynamic between the two evolve. Aisling and Forget-Me-Not have such good back and forth banter, and their little moments of developing a crush on each other were so cute. We love a unique fantasy story with engaging action and chaotic queer characters!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Thank you to NetGalley, Mari Costa, and First Second Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This is such a cozy little treat of a graphic novel, and I enjoyed every second of it. The art style is absolutely beautiful, and I am such a sucker for fae stories. The narrative is quite condensed, but it still allows for the story & romance to progress really nicely. Overall, just a really cute and quick read.
Tysm to FirstSecond for the eARC via Netgalley and for Toppling Stacks Tours for having me on the blog tour!
You are speaking to a body no longer on this earth, but instead was transported to THIS fantasy book. Which, when I tell yo,u is so deliciously beautiful that you wouldn't care living amongst fae people, I'm not exaggerating. And those folk aren't good people!
Did I mention the artwork was amazing? Just needed to say it again for emphasis.
Ugh, what the heck, this book was so delightful! The premise is WOW MESSY. The princesses swapped lives; one had it not so great, and the other a princess? Shut up. (Ye,s that was a Princess Diaries reference!). Anyways, yes, these girls really bring the enemy to "enemies to lovers", and the entire book turns into an adventure plot, and both our FMCs realise they might not be as the other seems.
The world-building is rich and intriguing (as well as beautifully drawn). I forget how much I love an urban fantasy book until I read books like these. The contrast between the fantasy world and the human world was very well executed in my most humble opinion.
The dialogue was lovely, and the romance hit all the good spots. I loved each of the characters' backstories and learning about why they are the way they are. And a moment of appreciation for the fight scenes. And a teensy bit of gore, aka wounds. They were so good?!?!?!
Overall, this was a fabulous YA sapphic romantasy graphic novel that you absolutely need to pick up on your next trip to the bookstore. You can yell at me if you have regrets but I bet money there womn't be any as this book is a feast for the eyes and the soul <3<3<3
I received this book from Toppling Stacks Tours/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
WOW, what a graphic novel, Mari Costa has done it again. Review will come next week, I was planning on posting during my tour stop but I am just so gosh darn tired and in pain and I am just not able to review.
Mari Costa books will forever have my heart. I haven’t read a single one that didn’t melt my heart and make me believe in love again.
A young princess wakes up one night to a knife at her throat and a girl telling her to wake up, that she was being kidnapped. This is how she found out that she’s a channeling and the girl who is kidnapping her is the true princess that was kidnapped at birth.
Not only is this knife-to-throat, but there was only one bed (or rather only one spot next to a camp fire where they had to cuddle for warmth) and enemies-to-lovers. This is definitely a graphic novel for Romantasy and faerie lovers!!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my eARC.
What happens when the changeling has to go back to the fairies? That is sort of what this book’s premise is, but it is also more. What if the human that was exchanged is the one that takes the changeling back?
Aisling is almost 18 years old, and has only known being anything but a human. She is also a princess. And a week before her birthday, a young woman, Forget-me-not, comes to her, and takes away her glamor so that she sees her true form, and takes her to the fairy realm to be with her true father.
Or rather that is the plan. But Aisling is not stupid, just a bit neive, and once she gets the hang of the fairy realm and realizes that Not (Forget-me-not’s nick name) is doing, she comes up with a different plan.
And like all good romantacies, there are instances where there is only one bed, and they have to be together for warmth, all those fun tropes we have grown to know and love.
The drawings are lovely. The humor and story is cute and quick. I very much enjoyed the romance, once it came together, between these two young women. A thoroughly delightful romp. All the stars.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review. This book is being published on the 14th of April 2026.
Thank you for the access to this ARC on net galley! Was this book cheesy? Yes. Was it kind of predictable? Yes…..BUT I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. It was a super cute gay princess fairytale story- what is there not to love? The characters were easy to fall in love with and to root for. The art was BEAUTIFUL as well! I loved the sketchier drawings for the chapter title pages. One small thing that I think would make the book better would be to have longer chapters but that is mainly a formatting thing. I loved the story so much. I would highly recommend for other sapphic fairy tale lovers
This is super cute and I really enjoyed it. The characters and storyline are great and a lot of fun. It's a unique twist on changelings and princesses that is very satisfying to read.
The art style is cute and fun, with very expressive characters. I really like the unusual color palette, with a lot of browns in the backgrounds of the panels. It adds to the whimsical fairy forest feel.
*Thanks to First Second for providing an early copy for review.
The art in the graphic novel is soooooo what I love!! It was so vibrant and colorful, and the details (aka all the blushing omg) was so sweet and beautiful! I'm a sucker for a fairytale retelling and this really hit the mark.
Thank you to netgalley and first second books for this arc!
Thank you NetGalley for extending me and ARC of Forgive-Me-Not. It proved to be a very cute, fun and whimsy graphic novel. The art was gorgeous. I only wish they built up the romance a bit more, but the rest of the story was perfect!!
Thank you NetGalley and FierceReads for the eARC. I am voluntarily leaving a review with my honest thoughts.
4.5 out of 5 stars.
Aisling, a sweet yet spoiled princess of the realm, wakes up one night to see that she's attacked by a mysterious person. She realizes that she is a changeling, as Forgive-Me-Not, the woman attacking her, is the biological heir to the throne. After this tumultuous meeting, Aisling and Forgive-Me-Not go on a journey through the realm of the fae.
This story was heartwarming, cozy, and ultimately lighthearted read. I enjoyed learning more about both Aisling and Forgive-Me-Not. Readers and Aisling learn about the hardships Forgive-Me-Not went through, and it's hard to not want to wrap Forgive-Me-Not into a hug. I enjoyed seeing their dynamic shift from disliking each other to caring about each other. Aisling and Forgive-Me-Not had really wonderful emotional chemistry together, and I love that they were each able to help and care for each other. Additionally, I enjoyed learning more about the realm where Aisling and Forgive-Me-Not inhabit. I almost wish that the story was longer, as I would've loved to see more of the world the author had built. The art of Mari Costa was amazing and really fit in with the whimsy of this tale. I would not be sad if another novel were set in this universe.
Readers looking for a graphic novel with the fae, changelings, a journey throughout the realm, gorgeous art, and a cute sapphic romance will not want to miss out on this tale.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! I think this is my first 6 star read this year! I finished it earlier today and I literally don't know what I am going to read next!
This is a BEAUTIFUL fairytale about a fae changeling and the human baby she was switched with right before they turn 18. This story has fantasy, adventure, and romance! I can not recommend this sapphic fairytale enough! The art is AMAZING!!
This such a cute sapphic Romantasy story. It was super cozy and I loved the adventure they went together and where it ended up taking them. I really enjoyed the grumpy sunshine dynamic between Aisling and Forget-Me-Not and their characters as a whole. This one left me smiling and I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you First Second and Fierce Reads for the gifted copy of the book.
A solid four star read. This story was fresh, different and beautifully illustrated. As much as I personally dislike reading graphic novels in digital format, I’m really glad I made it work for this one. I was surprised, touched and found joy in this little story that really packed a lot in.
I was provided with an advanced digital copy of this graphic novel from Netgalley in exchange for my honest feedback.
I absolutely ate this coming-of-age graphic novel up! Not only is the artwork magical, but the story itself carries a lot of heart and is very reminiscent of old fairy tales. I loved how the author also incorporated elements from actual folklore about faeries and their domain. The gradual progression from enemies-to-lovers between Aisling and Not was very sweet too (they are absolutely adorable!) 💖 Not to mention the bits of witty humor and banter in the mix, which is always a plus. The pacing of the plot did feel a little rushed, hence the 4/5 stars, but, otherwise, I definitely recommend this graphic novel for any fan of fairy tales, adventure, and romance.
my heart is so happy!!!! this was so sweet and whimsical and magical and wholesome and i loved it. this was such a fun journey with silly characters and a romance that you couldn’t help but root for. i loved the atmosphere and the faerie lore as the backdrop for our characters to grow together and challenge each other. i found it really satisfying at the end and i am so happy i read this! thank you first second books and netgalley for the arc!
