Probably the kindest most accepting book i have read (or listened to) in regards to anxious or avoidant attachment that are often painted as the enemy each and every time. This one encourages those to open up a little bit and within safe and manageable pieces rather than trying to full on re wire your brain so to speak as well as highlight some of the good traits of being this attachment style as well. which is usually unheard of in this game of attachment theory where unless you are 'secure' you are often demonized. this is very short so there isnt a lot of huge examples here to work with but its enough to get your foot in the door to at least consider some change if one is recognising their ways really arent benefiting them or their relationships. It has given me a bit to think about and for the first time ever, not totally hate myself for being the attachment style i am. but in saying that, certainly still has me thinking i have a lot to work on. good book, under 2 hours on spotify audiobook so an easy one to listen to on a long walk or at work etc. highly recommend as an intro point only though. I do still need to deep dive into some chapters to refine the skills merely touched on in order to put them into practice properly. Which I intend to do.
