Okay… this one had a little bit of EVERYTHING — mess, betrayal, growth, and a man who had to get his life together real quick.

So let’s get into it.

We meet Destiny Harris, who believes she’s living her dream life. She’s married, has a successful business, and is thriving. The only thing missing is a baby.

But baby… life said plot twist.

Not only does she find out her husband has been cheating on her — this man has a WHOLE secret family. And to make matters worse?? He had a vasectomy and never told her. Had her out here going to doctor’s appointments thinking something was wrong with her, all while he knew exactly what the issue was.

Yeah… that man is a SNAKE.

So Destiny does what needed to be done — she removes herself from that situation and decides she’s still going to have the life she wants. She goes the sperm donor route and has her daughter Soleil, who becomes her entire world.

But then things take another turn when Soleil gets sick and needs a bone marrow transplant.

Enter MyKing Masters.

Now MyKing is a man of structure, power, and control. He runs a tight ship and has built a strong reputation for himself at a young age. But his personal life?? Messy.

He’s in a strategic marriage with Bianca to maintain family power, while still entangled with his former love Keiala, who now has a child with someone else. So yeah… the last thing he needed was another situation.

But the moment he gets that call about possibly being a father?

Everything changes.

And I loved that about him.

He didn’t hesitate. He showed up.

I also really loved how the Masters family embraced both Destiny and Soleil. They welcomed them with open arms, and seeing Syre step up and donate his bone marrow to save Soleil?? That was such a beautiful moment.

Now let’s talk about Destiny real quick — because my girl stood on BUSINESS.

She made it very clear she was not about to be another woman in MyKing’s rotation. No harem, no confusion, no sharing. And I LOVED that for her.

And what made it even better??

MyKing got everything cleared up FAST.

He was not about to play about Destiny, and I appreciated how quickly he adjusted once he realized what was at stake.

Now I will say — his situation in the beginning was a LOT. Like sir… you had too many moving pieces going on for me 😂 but I did like seeing him shift and prioritize what actually mattered.

And can we talk about Prince and Granny??
Because they had me cracking UP 😂

I already know they’re about to be a problem in the next book, and I’m ready for the chaos.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable read. It had drama, emotional moments, and a solid romance that felt like it actually developed over time.

I loved these two. I didn’t like how they started out but loved the way they ended up. MyKyng didn’t play no games at all and was so mean but I actually kind of liked it. I loved how he handled the entire situation with Destiny. I loved the way his family came right in and loved on both Lei and Destiny. Their bonds were so cute. I was so happy Destiny finally had a sense of peace. I can’t wait to read the next book because I am thoroughly entertained with this family!

At 17% i knew this book was going to be a 4 star but then that cheating trope killed me. Granted I will say this made me root a little for the fiance and that never happens. However, it just showed how flawed Mykyng and Destiny truly was😭😭😭 this was the most human book ive read because the characters weren't perfect. Mykyng would NEVER make it to my book Bae list and Destiny is a hypocrite and didnt care that she was repeating the cycle she already been through but in another role. And because of that I was not rooting for their relationship and I did not care what happened to them😫😭 still obsessed with T'lyns pen game because she was🤏🏾 this close to almost getting me to overlook their behavior.

So many errors!

I downloaded "Loco" by T'Lyn to read on my Kindle and saw at the beginning of that book that it was recommended to read the Masters Brothers series first since Loco is friends with Prynceton. I love a good series, and I've read other books by T'Lyn that I liked, so I decided to read the Masters Brothers books first. The story was good, but there were SO MANY GRAMMATICAL ERRORS that I was barely able to finish it. I really wanted to give it a higher rating, but the errors were driving me crazy! I'm going to give the next book a chance, but if there are the same issues in Prynceton's book, I won't finish the series, nor will I read Loco. I can't enjoy a book when I have to constantly re-read something because I'm trying to figure out what the author meant to say versus what's actually said in the book. Hopefully, the rest of the series won't disappoint, so we'll see...

Amazing

This book was good from the beginning to the end. I was happy that MyKyng end up getting the love and Family he deserved. Bia was so confusing and so desperate to be with a man she know did not really want her. Destiny finally got a man that loved her and chose to be with her and only her.

As bad as I would have like me to give this at the very least 3.5 stars I couldn’t. I’m trying to be fair because I read another review that said this was her second time reading this and she doesn’t remember there being errors like this. I’ll give th author the benefit of doubt, and say maybe it’s an Amazon thing. The errors are horrible I mean absolutely ridiculous in this book. I couldn’t believe it, so I’m gonna give grace and read part 2 with the thought that this one somehow got messed up while uploading to Amazon.

Other than the errors this was kind of boring as well. I didn’t like the MFC at all and I feel like I want to hear the POV of Bianca at least one chapter. It was like the conflict wasn’t really all that great. The concept was good, but once you got past the sick child and him leaving his fiancée that was it. It wasn’t interesting and I didn’t feel that the MFC should’ve been with him. You basically did the same thing that was done to you to someone else. It doesn’t matter why he was getting married that fact of the matter is she was. The author never give these women real friends because they should’ve told her about herself instead they egged it on. In this case to me the MFC wasn’t the character to root for. Honestly the side characters were better than the main characters, because all the talk about cheating from the MMC was crazy. He was a dog and DATSIT!!!! The woman including destiny was weak, all she did was cry every 5 seconds and then was scared of everything and everybody. Idk 🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️this didn’t give what it was supposed to, but it was okay.

I almost DNF for the simple fact of the errors. But I pushed through and although I did skip some parts I finished. I will read part 2 because I only discovered this series because I was about to read Loco. I WILL NOT FINISH THIS SERIES IF THE ERRORS ARE LIKE IT WAS IN THIS BOOK.

Kyng's Destiny

Mykyng Masters is the head and CEO of his family. While in college, he makes a donation as part of a pledge that changes his life years later.

Destiny is a divorcee that has relocated as part of her new beginnings. A part of her new beginnings is becoming a mother as well.

After relocating, her child is such and needs the help of the father. This process puts Destiny in the path of Mykyng Masters. In the process of helping, Kyng accepts that he wants more with Destiny.

Family obligations and commitment are coming in to play, and it may not be possible.

Very good read.

This was…

This was a very good story. Loved the brothers and the parents. The storyline was different and that was refreshing. I’ll definitely be reading the other books. I like this author’s stories! They are never boring but I had to take a star off because this book definitely needs some serious editing. Usually, grammatical errors don’t bother me but there were misspelled words, missing words, and incorrect usage of words in important places. Whew! It truly became annoying!

You’re the one for me!

This book was so good. I love Destiny’s passion for her career caused her to step out of her comfort zone. Her new change also caused her to meet Kyng in the most unconventional way. Kyng is the man. Kyng is not to be played with. He stands on business and commands a room and respect at all times. The changes, comedy, drama, and passion throughout the book with all the characters made it exciting to keep going until i finished. I’m on to book 2.

Second time read was full of typos

Love this story of Des and Kyng and this was my 2nd time reading the story after I read another related book. Unfortunately this time, the book for full of typos that I do not remember being there in my first read. I think an edited book was uploaded with these errors so I’d love to see this corrected for future readers.

Great story and series otherwise!

I’ll Be The One.

This was a nice book.
The storyline was a clever twist on tropes/scenarios that I really enjoy.
Destiny & MyKyng had great chemistry. She’s a down to earth sweetheart, & he’s what BDE dreams are made of. There was plenty of drama along the way, but I’m glad with where they ended up.

I’m enjoying this family so far.

*Note*
The book needs serious editing. Typos & errors were constant throughout.

good story

I came to read this again after reading Loco, and that Loco was loco, growing, not grown was right, but I appreciated the laughs there

Here as well and I like the story. The over macho thing is not for me, but the kindness and protection and care definitely are,

As others have said, the typos were a real challenge and distraction, but I support independent authors and the story was good, so I powered through..twice

Imagine finding out that something you did years ago…something that didn’t feel like a big deal at the time comes back into your life in the biggest way possible.

That’s exactly what happens in I’ll Be the One.

The way the brothers were set up? Yeah…there are definitely more stories there and I’m ready. Oh and her sister?? Jail bae got me curious 👀😭

It was so good to see JV and Lani againnn

Yesss!

This was my first read like this and I need more! The fact that they became an actual family is EVERYTHING 🥰. Hopefully there’s little glimpses of them growing as a family in the other books.

cute love story

I really enjoy reading this book start to finish. The only thing is the typos there were so many that sometimes I was trying to figure out what they were trying to say, but other than that great story
