To Marry a Rancher

Rate this book
A Stranded Debutante
A Rough Rancher
And a town that's more than, well, Miserly.

Hyacinth Fairchild never imagined her parents would ship her clear across the country to find a husband. But what’s a New York society couple to do when they can’t seem to marry off their debutante daughter? Hyacinth suddenly finds herself bound for San Francisco with five other hopeful young ladies. Each dreaming of San Francisco’s charm, culture, and eligible suitors among the city’s elite.
Those dreams don’t last long. When their train derails in the Sierra Nevada, all plans for marital bliss go up in smoke, leaving six stranded debutantes at the mercy of the mountains and the little town willing to help them.
Calvin “Cal” McAllister has more than enough on his plate running a remote ranch with his mother. The last thing he needs is a high-class debutante underfoot. Especially one who can’t tell a milk cow from a mule and eyes his ranch like it might bite her. Maybe volunteering to take one of the stranded women in was a terrible idea.
But practical arrangements have a way of shifting. And soon, stolen glances turn into late-night conversations, unexpected loyalty, and a connection neither of them can deny.
As dangers creep through the mountains and long-buried wounds come to light, Hyacinth and Cal must choose. Cling to the lives they knew, or reach for a love bold enough to bridge the distance between their two worlds.

Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!

NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.

Hyacinth ♥️ Cal

A frightening beginning to this story ends in an unbelievable love match. Hyacinth survived the train wreck with several other mail-order brides. They were miles from town and had to walk the distance. The sheriff found them as he was out to look for the train that didn’t show up. Yes, she had a fiancé waiting for her at the trains destination. But…life happens. Cal, one handsome rancher, lived on a ranch with his mother. They took in Hyacinth until the stagecoache came, in a few months.

I needed a calming, fun, upifting read to help me unwind at the end of a hectic Thanksgiving Day. I saw that Kit Morgan had this new book out, and I thought, "Why not read this one." I've never read any of Kit's books, but I'm glad I gave her book a try, and will likely read more of her books in the future.
Cal and Hyacinth are from different world, but a train accident and need brings them together. I loved how the author brought the rough rancher and the pampered high-class young woman together in a slow-burn romance that felt not only realistic, but had me turning the page to see how they were going to end up together.

Cal & Hyacinth’s Story

I just finished reading Kit Morgan’s latest book To Marry A Rancher (Debutante Brides of Miserly Creek Book 1) and I enjoyed reading it very much. I loved it! Kit Morgan is one of my must read authors. Cal and Hyacinth’s story was very good and I highly recommend it. I hope you will read this book and love it as much as I did. I’m looking forward to read all the books in the series.

To Marry a Rancher

The beginning of a new series and I'm looking forward to the rest. Throw a debutante, a rancher, a Mother, and a blizzard and you never know what might happen. Good clean romance.
