DNF at 10%. Why is there so many parentheses. Multiple on each page and it’s just for regular parts of the sentence. Was looking forward to the story but was too annoyed by these. I can’t do it

Actually terrible. It takes a lot for me to DNF a book, but this one takes the cake. First and foremost, major, major trigger warning: if you aren't okay with reading about a child being gangraped in graphic detail, DON'T READ THIS BOOK. Like, I know it's a dark omegaverse novel, which I can generally handle, but I've never read one that explicitly describes the crimes against children like this one. Second, I don't know why some people are saying that the writing is great, because it sucks so bad. The run-on sentences go on for an entire page, there are a million parenthetical inserts that break up the flow of the story, like by restating what the characters smell like every time their scent is mentioned. I get it, he smells like ozone, it does not need to be repeated five times a chapter. The story also jumps around a lot, and I don't think any of the characters had a single coherent thought the entire time I was reading. I can pretty confidently say that this book is in the top 10 of the worst I've read.

lovely prose-like writing!

I loved this book from the beginning to end! It reminds me of my own writing style and for that, I saw some of myself in this book. Thank you for the journey you shared with us through Mia and her pack.

Flowery writing for dark topic

Dark. Pretty purple prose dealing with heavy, brutal triggers. Sometimes glimpses, sometimes raw detail.
Reverse harem. Omegaverse. Abused FMC. Some MM.

Who could read this when the author uses parenthesis every few sentences and writes like they’re trying to be poetic?

The premise of the story sounded good, but the execution of it was not.
