Joana, I'm in LOVE.. What a beautiful book. It read in my head like fluid poetry. I felt a connection towards Diana in DOW with the codes and it was just magic.
I love that I can delve deeper into the Shadow and lIght Court worlds that spans over all of eternity at this stage and we can see inbetween time and get to know them better.
I was also wondering before how Iśil’s story went and I'm so relieved to see bits of it here.
“They hadn't warned me that looking at him would make my chest ache with something between grief and want. Like finding something precious I hadn't known I'd lost.”
There is a very real undercurrent for yearning and completion. One of soulmates and Bonds greater than time. Love is stronger than reality.
I can re-read this and I think I will get the feels every time. It's a softer read than the others in the wider interconnected series. Well placed and I can not wait for any of the others.. xx
Yet another fantastic read. I just love the shadow kingdom! It was great to read more into the back story of what happened with Isil, Khan and his brother. It answered questions left from 'The Crown of Light and Ashes' Marvellous ✨️
Hooks you from the beginning! The action, drama and spice was perfect! I got a little flustered at a certain chapter which I won’t spoil. It’s dark and delicious.
