Revealing the Dragons

This novella is not a standalone. Please read the boxed set of Sacrificed to the Dragon first.

Melanie Hall-MacLeod finally releases her book about the dragon-shifters. The reception of her book, however, is anything but peaceful.

Tristan wants nothing more than to whisk his mate and two children off to safety, but Mel refuses to hide. As the danger increases and threatens his new family, Tristan battles the need to protect his mate with the need to make her happy.

Can Melanie and Tristan survive the strain between the new danger in their lives and their new twins? Or, will Tristan lose the battle with his inner dragon, surrender to his protective instincts, and take care of the threats at the cost of his mate?

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received the ebook from the author from an honest review

The cover is sexy and awesome! I would totally be drawn to pick it up in a bookstore :)

This is a novella length book. This is for adults only since it has some really steamy sex scenes. It is recommended by the author that you read the Sacrificed to the Dragon boxed set first before reading this, but I think if you love that set, you should go ahead and read the Seducing the Dragon set before reading this too!! While you won’t be lost, I think you will be wondering about things that are mentioned which happened in the 2nd set :)

I really love Jessie’s writing style and especially this series. I have loved them all and that is a feat all by itself because I usually have connection problems with serial series, but not with Jessie’s work. Now this doesn’t mean that I don’t wish that each and every book was novel length because I never want her stories to end, but I have to take what I can get of this awesome dragon shifter world.

I haven’t bought this book yet, but I will :) This is about Melanie’s book release. Lots of action which I always love, and I had some tears mixed in because there is a rollercoaster of emotions in this one, but I love that too! Great authors can make you cry without meaning too because you are so involved in the lives of the characters you read about! Okay I totally ready for more of this series especially Arabella’s upcoming story!!

I highly recommend this series in its entirety to anyone who loves shifter romances especially if you are already partial to dragons :)

I love The Stonefire Dragons, can't get enough of them! I know all of them like they were family!

Melanie's book about the real life of the dragons finally goes live and the Press Conference she has outside the gates of Stonefire doesn't go well at all.

Now she must find a solution to a new threat that's hovering, a very old enemy she thought were tales from books, The Order of the Dragon...They've been dormant for thousands of years, but now they have reemerged.. Could they be a real threat to the dragons?

Melanie has a plan that just may work, now she has to convince her emotionally scarred sister in law to tell her story on live TV in hopes of stirring the public to their side. Arabella has a condition though, she will go through with it, but only if she is allowed to spread her wings and go to Finn's Clan in Scotland. Will Melanie's Mate Tristan agree to this preposterous condition?

Evie is pregnant, yeaaaaa! Can't wait to read about that!

I certainly can't wait for Finn and Arabella's story, that promises to be a doozy.

3 stars.

This is a continuation of the first book with Mel and Tristan and deals with the aftermath of Mel's self-published Dragonshifter expose.

A short and ok book. I still have a problem with the narrator though :(

I love Donovan’s writing style. It’s fun and upbeat with a touch of foreboding. It matches the moods of the characters and of the story as a whole, making it impossible to put the story down. Her descriptions bring this creative world to life in a larger than life manner. Combine that with a fast paced, suspenseful storyline and you have a tale that won’t be forgotten. Donovan takes the concept of racism, which is still all too prevalent in society today, and places it in this imaginative paranormal world in a way that will capture you mind, heart & soul. She also places the clan more firmly in the context of UK as a whole so readers get a better feel of the outside dynamics.

The characters in this story are great. I love how you really get an in depth look at their lives and what they face on a daily basis. Donovan really humanizes the shifters in this novella, making them even more approachable and understandable to us humans. They were great up until this point in the series, now they’re unforgettable. Tristan’s dragon is absolutely priceless now that we’re getting to know him on so many levels. He had me in stitches more than once. Also, the love between the characters shines through (even in the hot & racy bedroom scenes). That said, readers really do need to read this series in order so that they get to know the characters. Characters do continue to grow and become more complexly developed throughout the story but to fully understand the who’s who & what’s what you do need to read the entire series.

This novella was excitingly action packed and filled with all the explosive heat and chemistry that we’ve come to know and love from these dragonmen. It was a fantastic addition to the series and a must read for all those who enjoy dragons, or shifters in general.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Revealing the Dragons
I just love all the characters in Revealing the Dragons from Melanie and Tristan, to his sister
Arabella and let not leave out Bram and his mate. Well I know that I didn't start this off right but this was very throughout series.
Well now that Melanie has release her book to only find out more join in the fight to keeping to make sure it's known dragons are not safe but she proving they are. This story brings some uproars but they all comes to aid each other.
Jessie Donovan shown in her writing things that happens in our everyday life through her writing. She let my imagination run crazy with her and how the dragons doesn't help lol.
You're love the entire series if you have not already gotten it,it's a must read!

Book three of the Stonefire Dragon Clan series by Jessie Donovan.
This book is actually about Tristan and Mel's story after their HEA.
I find it really rare for a writer to revisit a couple in a series that already have a novella in a series.
Mel is about to release her book by the same title and Tristan is stressing over the potential threat to Mel and twin babies.great story that I think help move the series on more and fill in some gaps with the other characters. It's not as good as other in series but did enjoy the progress in main story.
Looking forward to Arabella kicking Finn Clan Leader for Lochguard and can see sparks happening with them.

Excitement from all angles
This is a wonderfully well written installment in the Stonefire Dragons series. You have Melanie releasing her book and what may come from that. You have Arabella still thinking about going to Finn’s clan as a foster. And then there’s a new threat that no one expected. With the dragon hunters still out there and possible connections inside the DDA, you never can tell what might happen next. Very exciting and entertaining story that kept me riveted while reading.

This is the next instalment in the Stonefire dragons. It is not a standalone story and the reader needs to read the previous books in order to get full enjoyment.

We’re back with Melanie and Tristan, and it was nice to see how their relationship has evolved. It’s just as hot and sexy since the birth of their twins. Melanie’s book is published, and this brings new problems and enemies out of the woodwork. Change is in the wind for the dragons, and I look forward to Ara and Finn’s story.

Alternate universe with sex. This is part 9 of the series.

Tristan & Melanie now have infant twins. Mel's book about the dragons has released to a firestorm of controversy. This story has them getting the word out about the dragon hunters & a new threat.
Ara finally gets the OK to foster at the Scottish clan. So, next story we get some hot Scottish dragons.

This is a good addition to the series. Thankfully, no squishy butts in this one.

I just finished Revealing the Dragon by Jessie Donovan, and I have to admit, it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. It was a cute, quick read, but it didn't add a whole lot to the overall Stonefire Dragons series. While it did give us some more insight into Triston and Melanie's relationship and set the stage for Arabella's story in Healed by the Dragon, it was optional to the overarching plot.

Melanie's book and its impact on the dragon community are important, but this story could have been woven into the other books without needing a dedicated installment. Perhaps mentioning the media conferences and the book's release in passing would have been enough. It was a quick read, which was nice, but it just didn't have the same depth and impact as the other books in the series.

That being said, if you're a completionist and want to experience every chapter of the Stonefire Dragons saga, then go ahead and give it a read. It does offer some interesting tidbits and hints at potential future conflicts, but it's not crucial to understanding the main storyline.

I feel I should have reviewed the books separately, but I purchased the boxed set 1-3. But since Goodreads doesn´t recognize the number of books in a boxed set, I had to do them separately so each book would count towards my reading challenge. (Please try to fix this in the future. I have a LOT of boxed sets).
With that said, I LOVED IT!!! From first to last, it was amazing. Tristan and Melanie´s story set the pace for everything that came next. I was a true love story with all of the pitfalls that come with a interracial relationship. The emotions were real; the prejudices were also very real. I was so glad they were able to set all of that aside and find love.
Bram and Evie were a match for each other. I did a lot of laughing throughout this whole book. But their story filled in a lot of background about the characters. But they also had me in tears when they adopted their son and ended up pregnant after not being able to conceive.
Last but not less (because I´ll be reading the next set as soon as I´m finished this review), book #3. Revealing the dragon was the best of all three books, and for me that´s saying a lot. While Mel, Tristan, Bram and Evie worked to change the opinion of the British government, the clans still had to deal with terrorist attacks and spies within the clan. Needless to say, I´m glad I decided to buy to read the series, and I look forward to the instalments.

Okay, nothing against the author, but if you cut out the (albeit steamy) love scenes, this mini story honestly could've been the start of the next book. The release of Mel's book and Arabella preparing to foster with Clan Lochguard both could've kicked off Ara's story in book 3 (or is it 4?). Don't get me wrong, I love Mel and Tristan, but their story was already wrapped up in the first book and I really didn't need to check back in with them except as side characters in everyone else's stories. Also, Melanie's character was done dirty in this book. There were a couple of instances where Mel blew things out of proportion, all so the author could still present the character as being feisty and assertive. Like, I get Melanie had this whole big speech planned to help improve human-dragon relations, but her getting upset about her limited airtime during a TV interview makes her come across like a glory-hound, especially when it's more important that Ara and other victims of dragon hunters get to tell their stories during that same interview.

Melanie and Trisitan’s first book (Sacrificed to the dragon) was one I enjoyed, I liked both the main characters and their relationship. They had some great interactions which I wanted to see more of so when I saw they had a novella focusing on them I had to read it. This novella was a quick and easy read and I found it enjoyable as I liked learning more about Melanie and Tristian’s life and the rest of the Stonefire dragons later in time. This novella sets up a good overarching storyline and hints at big things for Tristian’s sister, Arabella, who I liked in book one so I will at least be coming back to read her story.

Favourite quote:
“Agreeing with everything you say or do is boring. You wouldn’t like it.”
She sighed. “You’re right, but matching wits with you is a wonderful stress reliver.”

This series must be read in order. That said, this novella is actually the 3rd book in the series and while it continues plot points from both the first and second book, it is primarily a continuation from the first book as the couple featured in book one is featured in this book too. The plot is intriguing as our FMC fights against segregation and segregationist laws by trying to bring the truth to the masses. I'm intrigued to see where the next book takes us. The spice level is nice, but not extremely hot and heavy as previous books, but it is a novella so less pages and words to fit the spice level in. This novella focuses primarily on the plot of the main underlying story that is running through all the books. The battle against the dragon hunters/haters and the dragons with growing support from those who appear to like dragons. Overall, a very entertaining read.

In this one we met Jane, the main character in Reawakening the Dragon. I didn't like her that much, but she redeemed herself in her own book. Now, about this one.

We see how the public react to Melanie's book, something we have been waiting for since the previous book. Do you need to read it to understand what will happen next? Not necessarily. Nevertheless, should you read it? A big YES. We get to watch Melanie as a mother and Arabella, finally, fighting for what she wants. A must read.

This book is a great example about never giving up in what you believe in. Whether it’s ending animal abuse, helping children, or in this case, a dragon-shifter’s freedom. This mini story of Tristan and Melanie had me at the edge of my seat. Melanie’s determination and courage is an example for women everywhere. As well as the dragon-shifters speaking out against hateful humans. I highly recommend REVEALING THE DRAGONS and all the Stonefire clan stories.

Very intriguing!

I couldn't help thinking about how this book surprisingly displayed some parallels of our modern age with the discriminatory and racial prejudices different groups of people experience. This book warmed my heart of Melanie's character to be the first to bring about change. I have loved all 3 of Jessie Donovan's books so far and am eager to read the rest of her Dragon series. Bravo

I love this dragon shifter series. I'm not usually into fantasy but these books are so intelligently written, with humour, and steamy scenes. I like that the premise of the books is so realistic... The author makes it seem possible for hot dragon shifters to be among us along with all the necessary governmental regulations. Good on Melanie, the main character, for bringing about those changes....and that book, which I wish really existed so I could read it! Future idea, Jessie Donovan??

Wow

Absofreakinlutely amazing book! I absolutely love how no come into their world of dragons, and just turned it on its ear. She is Simply Amazing and determined to make sure her family has Best of Both Worlds. I so cannot wait to read the next book I'm hoping it's arabella's story. That woman deserves a happy ending after everything she's been through. It was nice to see that Mel brought everything along in his help everyone she's touched.

It’s been a while since I’ve read Stonefire Dragon book but I had no issue dipping back into the story. It was nice to see Tristan and Melanie again and while it was a nice novella, it’s just that. Nice. While the story moved on, I didn’t feel like I got much new character information here and it wasn’t anything super special to me.

Like I said, nice and an easy way to pass an evening but nothing really stood out.

Brilliant Series

Revealing the Dragons (Stonefire British Dragons Book 3) by Jessie Donovan. Melanie, a human who is mated to a dragon and had given birth to twins, couldn’t stand the way dragons were treated, wrote a book about what dragons were really like. After an interview telling how some of the dragons had been tortured by humans, public opinion started to change. Would it be enough?

Revealing the Dragons

Wow. Awesome book it is full of mystery and definitely trying times for the Dragon clans. In the middle of the most important times in their existence do they trust the people trying to open the lines that might just cost them everything. You'll have to read it to see how it turns out. Great Book.
