I had no prior knowledge on Joubert. I feel I understand much more thoroughly this type of offender. It still feels to me that much from that many interviews with him is missing as it felt the author focused much more on every other detail but felt he spent such little time sharing the actual interviews. So much so that I had checked to make sure I hadn't missed a chapter.
Also, too much time spent on the prison drawings and a lot of redundancy there. Good information but the report or the interview would have been enough.not both. Which is what brought me to my rating.
This book was hard to put down. I thought the author did a great job portraying John for the killer he was. Kudos to him for fighting to get the drawings released.
