Post Mortal: A Mighty Men Adventure

Rate this book
Everyone dies. Some are murdered by a serial killer, and some don't stay dead.

Maggie's heart stops after an accidental overdose of heroin, a middle-aged man hangs himself, and a widower is apparently knifed in an alley by his best friend. But everything is not as it seems, death is never the end, and Maggie carries knowledge back from beyond the unknown to help apathetic doctor, Bruce Lee, find and stop the killer who believes he is doing God's work.

People around the world are having post mortal encounters, called near death experiences, and Dr. John Blakely, MD, PhD is making a killing promoting them, but is he the killer? And if he is, can anyone stop him? Or will he leave Portland, like so many other cities, left with a string of unsolved crimes?

Bruce must learn to give a damn again. Maggie has to learn to love again, and Bo... Bo really has to stop "eating sushi off a dead man's ass."

The first book in the Mighty Men origin trinity, Post Mortal is a thrilling, fast-paced, theo-medical mystery that takes the reader to the edge of life, and beyond.

Post Mortal hooked me from the first chapter. The mix of mystery, dark humor, and near-death encounters is fresh and addictive. Maggie and Bruce make a compelling, imperfect duo, and the twists around Dr. Blakely kept me guessing. Fast-paced, smart, and unforgettable, an outstanding start to the Mighty Men trilogy!

Death adventure

I could not really get into this book. I thought it was kind of gruesome and not my kind of subject matter. If you like murder and killing, and this is the book for you.
