There are run-of-the-mill psychopaths and then there’s the Collins’s.
When Grandma Collins returns from a mental institution, she finds her family in a state of disarray. Sure, they’re murdering people, but it’s just not being done right.
Under their grandmother’s watchful eye, the Collins clan are about to get even crazier.
Splatter by Angelique Jordonna, Rowland Bercy Jr., Michael R. Collins, and Christo Healy is a brutally fun ride. Four authors come together to tell one gory, chaotic story centered around the completely unhinged Collins family. From a grandma in a psych ward to cannibalistic family dinners and a vengeful ghost, this book never slows down. It’s wild, violent, and extremely entertaining. Just when you think you know where it’s going, it swerves hard. Unpredictable, grotesque, and fantastically disturbing!
I knew I had to read this because it's four of my favorite authors in one book! And let me tell you, it was a crazy, bloody and at times humorous ride. These four sure know how to entertain their readers. I liked the format of the book. Four separate novellas by four different authors centering around one insane cannibalistic family, the Collins family.
Wonderland by Angelique Jordonna This story focuses on the sister Kyle. I love reading stories with female main characters that are just as unhinged as their male counterparts. Not all women are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. Kyle sure does give her brothers a run for the money with her bloodlust!
The Past Never Dies by Rowland Bercy Jr This one took me by surprise. An extreme ghost story that's a lot gory and just the right amount of humor. I've not read anything quite like this from Bercy before. I would almost put this in the bizarro subgenre. It's was bloody, raunchy and a little heartwarming when the ghost came out as gay.
Solo Mission by Michael R Collins Ahhh Jacob. What a sweetheart of a character he is! This is a tale of revenge in the most extreme way possible! The pickup scene was quite brutal. And I love how Jacob taunted Jimbo.
It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over by Chisto Healy Now this story had me falling in love with Remy the talking knife. Although I was hoping to get some background on where Remy came from, I'm kinda glad it's still a mystery. Remy is hilarious and sadistic.
Throughout the book I came across familiar names that made me giggle. And I love how each story is pretty much a continuation of the previous one. A great cohesive piece of work I'm very impressed!
