NOTESIt is highly recommended to first read I Married an Incubus to better appreciate the later parts of the book. Although you will not be lost if you read this book first, be aware that it contains major spoilers about the Incubus story. Please carefully read the Trigger Warnings at the beginning of the book if you are a sensitive reader.

Kayog's story was not what I expected it to be...and I don't necessarily mean that in a good way.
Okay, first thing's first: I never asked for nor thought that I needed a book on Kayog's backstory, because his whole soulmate thing with Linnea was a done deal from the get-go. Like...these two were the power couple throughout all the prime mating agency books, and it felt right: the ultimate matchmaker himself had his perfect match, so he knew what it was like and how important it is.
Kay.
But see, the thing is, I wouldn't say that that necessarily requires a backstory, and certainly nothing in any of the other books ever hinted at it.
HOWEVER
I was willing to give it a chance, in the hopes of getting to know our favourite guy some more.
Great.
So I went in, all cheery-eyed and, at first, it was great.
Until we got the whole inner-psychological-conflict portion.
And then, it lost me.
Although, to be fair, it was kind of losing me early on ANYWAY.
And here's why:
Kayog...didn't feel like Kayog.
Granted, I get that he's supposed to be younger--in his college days and whatnot--but just the same, I still was waiting to feel bits and traces of what we knew his personality to be like from all the previous books. Sure, he could've mellowed out with age a little, but nothing like an entire personality shift, right?
Well, unfortunately, it DOES feel like Kayog underwent quite a personality shift, in that the only "trait" that he really has that's familiar is being humble, but....yeah, that's kind of buried under all the other traits he's given and actions that he does, to the point that it feels like I'm reading about a generic "hidden depths, hidden darkness, blah blah blah" guy that I've seen tons of times before. This isn't Kayog. This is just some rando.
For Linnea, things aren't much better either, although I do see more of her personality shining through from what we've been given to expect with the brief glimpses of her in the other PMA books. She's got an aristocratic-ness to her, as well as being assertive and just overall regal and beautiful. Granted, I did think that the author put too much swearing in Linnea's parts of the story, just as she did in Kayog's, but it was a bit less noticeable because we didn't know Linnea that well from before, and therefore didn't expect as much of her.
STILL though
Even with these flaws in the writing of the characters and the tonal shift, I would still have been willing to give the book a fair shot if only the conflict was better.
Now I know what you're thinking: we're talking about a soulmate pairing, and Kayog's the master of that with 100% accuracy, so how does one even create a 400+ page conflict from that?
Well, THIS is the part where I really think Regine Abel should have written this as a novella instead of trying to make it a full book. Because...yeah, without throwing in some convoluted problems, especially the psychological ones on Kayog's behalf, you haven't really got much of a plot going for you. But the thing is, after showing your readers what Kayog's like in ONE way, you should NOT just spring this up on readers and expect them all to go along with it.
Again, it. doesn't. feel. genuine!
Kayog does NOT feel like Kayog.
With stories like these, where you already have a soulmate pairing going for you, in my view there's really only two right options:
1) make it a nice, mushy story with just niceness and romance elements to it (again, a novella-length book would've been a better choice here)
OR
2) make the conflict something external (i.e. maybe Linnea's engaged to someone else because of family obligations?)
Just...UGH. Anything other than making Kayog the problem via psychological-contrived-bullshit would've been a better choice.
The only thing this book served to do was seriously degrade Kayog's character in my eyes, to the point that if I ever re-read any of the previous books, I think imma just have to pretend that THIS one doesn't exist and isn't canon. Cause...yeah, no.
No spoiler review: it's very important that you do NOT read reviews with spoilers for this book. The emotional journey is so worth it.
This was such an amazing book! I was casually bawling at 5am from the emotional journey it took me on. I did not see that coming yet it was more than worth it! I've read it twice now. Yet it still shocked me the second time too. The way the story is plotted meticulously, including things we learned in previous books as well as new info we are just finding out. Yet still managed to shock with the way it subverts what you expected to happen, and come full circle. The emotion hit me just as strong this time too, even tho I knew what was going to happen, it pulls so hard on a relatable subject I couldn't help but feel it all.
If you've read previous books in the series (if not go back & read them first, at the very least Kronos' book) then you know Kayog is our famous match maker with Prime Mating Agency- who also enforces the Prime Directive for primitive species to keep them from being taken advantage of. We get the backstory for how it all began in this book. It was so neat to get a glimpse into the author's mind so to speak.
Kayog has been in every book since the beginning and it was so satisfying that he got his own book. We get to see the young Kayog of his youth, all the way up to the present. I never would've guessed so many things, and loved all the twists and reveals. There's action, adventure, spice (one of the spiciest books the author has written actually) suspense, found family, strong characters, and that 'cant eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars' type of romance and love story.
It's up there as one of my fav in the series, and it's the first book in the series to make me cry (ok bawl lol). And tho I'm normally an uplifting type of romance only gal, this is the exception since it's done flawlessly.
Every book in this series features a new couple & their HEA. But due to recurring cast and overarching storylines I suggest reading in order. There's also a ton of art at the back of the book to fawn over. Overall: it's a bombdiggity book & you should go read it lol.
Life's short, read whatever makes you happy fellow book lovers! Then tell me about it lol.
I love this book. There was so many twist and turns emotionally that I couldn’t put it down. It was amazing to finally read Kayog and Linsea story and find out their past and future. This book also gives readers a glimpse into the continued epilogue of other couples in the PMA series, which was really sweet. It’s was a magnificent read. Made me laugh and cry and every emotion in between. It was a long wait for this, but so worth it.
It took me a while to get past not really needing more backstory and wanting Kayog to remain enigmatic. Once I got over myself, I was sucked into this wholeheartedly. This book has everything a PMA story needs, with a few bonus gut punches. It will go down as a favorite in the series, but it might take a while before I can reread.
This is an epic sci-fi romance installment in the Prime Mating Agency series. To avoid spoilers, it’s best read after I Married an Incubus.
FMC Linsea is a Temern (a bird-like alien) who returns from an impressive internship only to discover that a very attractive male Temern, MMC Kayog, has joined her circle. He’s not only a talented singer, he’s also an exceptional athlete and a dedicated student. They’re immediately drawn to each other, but Kayog has deep struggles he must face before they can truly be together.
This book was amazing. At first, I wasn’t sure how Abel was going to make bird folk hot, but she absolutely succeeded. The story spans a significant amount of time, beginning with the MCs in college and eventually lining up with the events of I Married an Incubus. I cried multiple times while reading, even though I knew what was coming. It truly felt epic, both in scope and in how beautifully it tied the series together, especially with the matchmaker’s own love story.
I loved this book! it’s definitely one of my favorites in the series. I’m not sure if more books are planned, but if not this was a beautiful way to wrap everything up.
Spice 4/5 Plot: 5/5 Writing: 5/5 My Enjoyment: 5/5
Honestly cried. Had some many emotions throughout this one, especially with the big back story of both Kayog and Linsea. Their relationship was filled with twist and turns, uncovering the truth and dealing with it together.
I also loved how we got to see the extended epilogue of the other characters with in the series! It was adorable!
Yall this book was such a good read! I literally lol'd, I sobbed, I had big grins on my face! I went through so many emotions!
This book was not as straightforward or fluffy as some of the others in the series. It definitely has some darker aspects. (Please read triggers warnings and protect your mental health) honestly tho? This book feels like it is exactly what it needed to be. We got to see so much of Kayog and Linsea. We get to see why they both react certain ways while in the previous books, and we get to see them happy and in love.
We also get to see different sides to both of them as well! The mischievous, goofy and the fierce protectors. I can't wait for everyone to read it!
This story is dual POV, well written, and a beautiful, emotional, fated mates, sci fi romance that provides the romance and story of Kayog, the alien avian matchmaker for the Prime Mating Agency, who has been the instigating background figure in the other stories in this series, with his soulmate Linsea. This story has been much anticipated and did not disappoint. I adored the devotion Kayog felt for Linsea, and the way she returned it, willing to fight the world for him. I enjoyed his special skills, once the disabling component was controlled. I enjoyed the building intimacy. I enjoyed the way that Kayog and Linsea dealt with the many hardships that assailed them and overcame together; I totally cried whilst reading this story. I adored the way they worked together on different angles of similar projects but also loved the universe enough to spend significant time apart. I enjoyed the overlap with other stories in the series and the way we now received Kayog’s perspective on the matches. I adored the character art at the back of the book - so beautiful.
Wow, what a wild ride this book truly tied this whole series together. This is Kayog 's story the make who becomes the match maker of soul mates. Special from the minute he was born he suffered greatly because if his extraordinary powers. Charismatic , out going yet forced to shy away from many which left him feeling isolated. Just she he thought his life was over in glided Linsea . one look at her and he knew that the beautiful female was his soul mate. Even though he longed for her he didn't want her stuck with someone who was broken . What Kayog soon realizes is that Linsea is a strong confident female who fights for what she wants. Together they embark on a journey to save his life and discover a love that knows no bounds. You will laugh, sigh , cry and discover why Regine Abel is one of the best authors out there. This did not disappoint I !over it. 100% recommended🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🔥
To be honest, I don't like how the story was written. The younger Kayog—his language and dialogue don't fit his personality. There were some good bits, yes; I love the twist with Malaya as well as the arts and the background of how the PMA started. But the writing style didn't do justice to the potential great story it could have been. I would have preferred this book wasn't written, and Malaya's connection to Linnsea and Kayog could have been a bonus separate story or Patron bonus instead of this book.
The cover should have told me this book wasn't what I wanted. I pictured Kayog much differently and seeing him as a musclebound guy with a Tweedy-bird head really threw me off. Then I began reading and the story was odd. Kayog was not Kayog. I struggled for a bit, but wasn't enjoying the story so stopped.
Others are clearly loving it, so everyone has a different opinion.
Excuse me while I scream in joy. I absolutely love that Regine Abel gave us Kayog and Linsea’s story at the end here, because I absolutely adored their relationship from the hints I got in the other books in the series. And trust me—I’ve read almost all of them. I just finished this book, and let me tell you: I cried and I cried and I cried and I CRIED. You got me at first with the cute romance and the engaging plot...reading this, I’m just grinning over the both of them, because I’m finally finding out that my baby Kayog has some kind of impediment that makes being around people painful for him and he thought he didn’t deserve her, but he wanted her so badly.
I also really like that there is a lot of mixing and backstory from the characters. For example, his childhood friend Isobel was helping him with his condition and working to develop a pill for him who was the same priestess from Earth who was marrying all the couples... Loved that. We got to see the Syllens from I Married a Merman and learn a bit about their backstory. Seeing how Kayog went from a troubled, hurt singer with no clear path—barely surviving—to the Kayog we know now is awesome, especially since we finally get to see how the matchmaking service came to be.
Also the way Linsea would burn the world for Kayog was so damn good “If you’re mine, I will raze this world and any other to the ground before I let anyone take you from me. ”
But once baby Thea entered the picture, I was gone. It was heartbreaking that Kayog’s genetic mutation essentially causes deadly congenital deformities in any of his offspring. Those scenes when they were going through the pregnancy, and the few hours they had with Thea before she died—those took me out.
Then, 37 years later, Kayog hears his daughter’s soul song again through Malaya, who is the reincarnation of Thea. (i cried again) It makes so much sense why Kayog connected with her so strongly, and even Linsea. And the way they got the data on Wurus being corrupt—because Kayog went and got it himself for her—while Linsea got her the traditional wedding dress from the Philippines? Both of them really didn’t want to fail her again. They even became her daughter Odessa’s godparents.
But the thing that truly was the cherry on top was when Malaya remembered her memories as Thea and told them—right when Odessa started singing the song Kayog used to sing for her.
I don’t know if this is the end of the series. It feels like it is. But this was a damn good series and a damn good book.
Favourite Quotes I cradled her in my arms, my body thrumming with infinite pleasure, my heart filled to bursting, and my mind enraptured in the divine song of our souls soaring in an endless crescendo. Linsea owned me... all of me. Whatever the future held for us… for me… this moment, right here, right now, made my lifetime of misery worth living.
I know exactly what levers can be used to crush an organization and even an entire government. I have the type of connections that will destroy you, your whole fucking bloodline, and this entire place. So don’t test me!” Linsea is a badass
“I will not allow it,” I hissed. “You are not turning him into a lab rat or some freakish experiment.” “What are you going to do about it?” Colin asked, a hint of mockery in his voice. “You seem to forget that I know how the system works. I can create the worst public relations nightmare for both the UPO and the Enforcers,” I replied in a frosty tone. “We can stop you,” he retorted with a shrug. “Can you?” I challenged. “Of course,” he replied as if it was self-evident. It was my turn to look at him with a taunting expression. “But after how much damage? You know once I get the ball rolling, it will wreck many things that will be nearly impossible to repair. Neither of us wants to go that route, do we?” She would protect her man or die trying.
“Then don’t force my hand,” I said sternly. “The UPO and the Enforcers have many enemies who would be delighted to help me go on a rampage.” “Are you threatening us?” Colin asked, narrowing his eyes at me. “I don’t do threats, only promises. Linsea stands on BUSINESSSS
So thank you for finding me again, for fighting for me, and for loving me more than anyone deserves to be.”
Regine Abel did her BIG ONE with this book 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I've truly enjoyed the entire PMA series, but this one hit so many special places. The history, the fight, the love, the heart break, and the nostalgia were absolutely fucking brilliant 🥹
Her dedications in this series are always good, but this one really knocked it out of the park: "To those who perceive and experience the world differently. The narrow- minded will label it a defect or an anomaly. The wise will see it as an opportunity and a blessing. You are not a freak, you are a gift. And the world needs the beauty that only you can see and offer... to soulmates" 😍
The world-building, as per usual, was on point! I appreciate how the author builds the worlds and their logistics so well, but also how she describes the creatures. What makes it feel so grounded is how she gives these creatures their own mannerisms, and explains it in relation to human mannerisms. One being "She clicked her beak in that typical fashion that expressed reflection for us, a bit like when humans chewed their bottom lip before answering a sensitive question".
Although the creatures are absolutely incredible, I also love that the author recognizes what is special about humans too. It would be so easy to write this world and only highlight how unique and powerful the creatures are, but she still shows that humans have their special places too: "“Humans are without a doubt the most adaptable species in the entire galaxy. What you lack in powers and abilities, you compensate with ingenuity. The human race has developed incredible tools and technologies that allow you to rival— and in some cases even surpass— some of the most powerful races out there. There’s a reason that you are the only species to be part of both galactic alliances of the known universe. Everyone wants you".
Tala was such a real ass friend 🙌🏾 Kayog and Linsea fit each other like gloves. The way Linsea fought gave me lifeeeeee 👏🏾👏🏾 The relationship the 4 of them had really warmed my heart! "Whatever the future held for us… for me… this moment, right here, right now, made my lifetime of misery worth living." And Nana Arikaaaaa the real mf mvp for real 🙏🏾🥳
It's so dope to learn about Kayog more. I'm not spoiling anything if you've read the other PMA books before this one. Understanding his powers was pretty awesome. Knowing how he hears emotions adds so much color to his previous interactions in other books. It was even dope how he planned PMA and how much of his initial ideas stood the test of time, along with the origin of his career path in the first place.
Love love love this series and I have immense respect for this author. I may even reread some of the previous PMA books after this! But I absolutely look forward to whatever she adds to this series, and clearly I need to start reading her other series too 😍
What even was this? This start of this book is awful. It’s poorly written trite. The dialogue is stilted at not at all natural. Maybe it’s always this way in the series and it just made sense for the language barriers between characters and awkwardness of being married when you first meet so I didn’t notice. I don’t know. I just know it does not work between best friends in college hanging out and teasing each other. There is a huge amount of dialogue at the start of this story, and very little else, so it is blindingly obvious. Everything is clunky. And Kayog is a rockstar? Just WHY? Both the MCs are constantly swearing (and she’s supposed to be very upper class/prim and proper) and these just feel like random characters, not the ones we’ve met previously in the series. The only reason this wasn’t a DNF was because I worried I’d miss vital information when it goes back to our regular scheduled alien romances. Usually there’s amazing worlds to get lost in and new species and customs to learn, but this had none of that. If you can get past the first 150 pages it develops a plot and graduates into an enjoyable story. But man, the first 100 pages are awful. The first fifty are truly awful. At times it felt as if it forgot these characters were birds. Beaks became mouths, and tongues do things without any beak impediment. Though even just kissing raises questions. Once you make it to half way this book gets good. The behind the scenes and inner working of the PMA are fun and interesting, and it does involve a bunch of cameos and a surprisingly touching twist. Not gonna lie though, this was so close to a DNF for me. Those first fifty pages are so brutally bad that only my love for the series pulled me through.
I remember being somewhat sad when I read the first few PMA books that Kayog didn’t have a book of his own. So I was very excited when this popped up! I don’t think I was prepared for any of it, though.
Kayog has had it rough. I won’t go into details, since you’ll read them for yourself, but his magic-like abilities to match soulmates comes with other, darker abilities. Ones I never would have guessed from any of the times I’ve met him before.
He first meets Linsea, his mate, while they’re at college together. And while he’s a rockstar. He tries to warn her off, though, and we soon learn why. Fortunately, she is stubborn enough not to listen to him. And she even saves his life.
I won’t mention the specific parts that made me cry, but they were good tears! Especially the ones that came at the end, bringing the story full circle. Highly recommend for any of the PMA fans out there!
Oh, and I do recommend reading the Incubus book first, like the description says. I reread it before Kayog and I’m glad I did, because it made Kayog’s book extra-special.
REGINE!!!!!! Why did you have to hit me with that emotional bomb like this 😭 WOW! Honestly, my favorite character from this ENTIRE series has always been Kayog. His personality was always such a light for me at the beginning of all of these books and I enjoyed every book getting to see him in action. Getting his story and the way the ending ties into their story as a couple really touched my heart in such a beautiful way!
Such an amazing way to touch such a sensitive topic. I’ve never personally endured such a tragedy, but getting to reunite in the way they did was chefs kiss 😭 did I just cry for the last hour? Absolutely. Both in heartbreak for the two Temerns I’ve grown to love over these many books and joy that they were able to reunite in such a special way. This book really touched me.
This is the series that got me into monster/alien romance and has such a special place in my heart because of how many unique situations and very real things all these couples experience together. This book makes me want to go back and re read them all ❤️ thank you SO much for blessing us with this beautifully tragic yet uplifting story!
I had a lot of thoughts about this book, first being that I wanted to dnf at 30%. I checked out some reviews and appreciated the honesty- this book might not need to have been written.
Having finished the book I understand the author wanting to wrap the 15 book series with a central character but the journey was bumpy and the dialogue cringy at times:
“This is a really beautiful house,” Linsea said with sincere admiration. “I love the earthy color palette you chose. For some reason, I expected your place to either be all black and dark grays, or the typical white and brown that males often go for. But I adore this forest-green, midnight-blue, oranges, and deep-reds that you used. It’s warm, joyful, and inviting without being over the top or aggressive. I also really appreciate how you balanced making the place feel homey but not cluttered.”
This was a bit much and not really the best example.
One thing RA does is research the hell out of topics in her stories, so much so that I feel like I could take on Competitive canoeing after reading this story 😅
Anyway, it felt like it wrapped up the series and yes- please see the trigger warnings about babies and loss as it is painfully yet tenderly written.
Whoa since Amreth was out I was checking each months for a new book and never in my life I would thought that Kayog would be here his story but damn I cry so much and love it at the same time the reincarnation of Thea in Malaya bring me to tears the ending was just perfect a masterpiece. In every Prime mating agency books Kayog would turn out like a good guy like someone who never had a hardcore side and even Linsea I always thought Temren to be peaceful but damn I was wrong and love the both of them how they're fierce protective and not afraid to put threats (promises) on the table when needed. And when they meet Malaya at this point I ball my eyes out I think my eyes are dry now that was an emotional meeting and all the down Kayog lil missions and the end when she talk about remembering.🥺😭🥰💜 Thank you for this book Regine Abel 🥰🥰
I 100% of the time ignore them for books, and of course I ignored them for this book too. Just fuck me up, hurt me, and abuse me with your pretty words, author. However. This one touches serious subjects that for certain readers could be seriously devastating to revisit. In saying that, I think it's handled beautifully, and everything is resolved in a way that can only be reached in a fantasy setting.
This is not meant to be read in public or before going out; this is meant to be read alone, in the dark, in bed, maybe with a good hot chocolate and definitely plenty of tissues. Even if these subjects don't hit close to home on a personal level, this emotional rollercoaster will mess you up.
I love this Series and getting a book on Kayog was everything I needed!
Kayog is a matchmaker throughout the series and is married to Linsea. This story goes back in time to show how they got together. You will learn so much about why both Kayog and Linsea are seen as such loving but powerful individuals. You see their early struggles, learn more about Kayog’s powers, and how he started the Prime Mating Agency. It ends by adding more detail to previous stories in the series.
I do not think it is necessary to read the books in order because even with the “spoilers,” it only adds to the other stories when you do read them. This book was beautifully done, and the world-building is top-tier.
Some people think the books are repetitive, but I see them as consistent.
omg 😭😭😭 this was fantastic; i loved every minute of it. I never expected Kayog to have his own story in this series, but he's been such a big part of every other book that it was SUCH a welcomed surprise. between the nostalgia of Kayog himself - let alone all the other familiar characters - and the heart wrenching life we didnt know he lived, I couldn't've loved it more. i laughed. i cried. this was so great. my only grievance is that this makes me think the series is over... because what a heck of a finale. on a more serious note, i'm not sure i loved the whole reincarnated thing and the bird sex was weird, but i understand why and it still made me cry anyway. the reincarnated thing, not the bird sex. lol. LOVED IT.
Sorry if my English isn’t perfect, it’s not my first language.
Without a doubt, Regine has a magical touch when it comes to writing. Many people dive into these stories expecting something messy or over the top, but the narrative—the story behind the story—is unbelievably beautiful. I’ve loved every single one of these books passionately, but this one… this one has been the most intense emotional journey I’ve ever experienced. I cried from the very beginning, I laughed, and then my heart shattered into a thousand pieces, only to be mended and healed again with the epilogue.
Thank you, Regine, thank you for these stories overflowing with emotion, with such beautiful messages, and with all the incredible romance. You are without a doubt one of my favorite authors
i love the “i married a” series, but to echo some of the other reviews i’ve seen- this isn’t the kayog we know this is a different individual, and frankly, i personally didn’t need this POV. i was happy to live a blissfully ignorant life imagining kayog as the gold love stork, hell, i imagined him wearing a stupid little hat for some reason this kayog is gender-ified to hell, and i’m sorry, but no number of adjectives can get me to believe he’s attractive, because he’s like the fairy god uncle to every other book… i can’t in good conscience finish this, because i can’t accept this as the kayog of the rest of the series
I never realized how much we needed this story about Kayog, until I read this story. What an amazing start to an epic story and what a perfect happily ever after. Don't get me wrong; I would love more Prime Mating Agency stories, but if this is the last, I am content. More would just be icing on the cake. I really enjoyed the sort if behind-the-scenes look of the other books through Kayog's point of view. Many times when there is a prequel story in a finished series that I'm starting, i read the prequel first, but in this case, it works so much better where it is in publishing order.
What a wonderful tale of Kayog, the awesome matchmaker. I did not realize that this book was his own story. You find out what his life was like before the popularity of his matchmaking grew. This story does contain some heartbreaking moments but overall it’s a beautiful. It begins slowly and builds into storylines. We get to know all about his adventures and how he met his mate in college. Thanks to the author Regine Abel for all the pictures at the end of the book. There is a happy ending. Read On!
Finally I got to read how Kayog and Linsea met. I won’t lie and say the spicy scenes I had to rush by as it was like hearing older siblings or parents do the do for me.
I’m hoping some of the names dropped means we get more PMA stories!
As someone who has gone through a mc, I cried about poor Thea. I couldn’t have imagined only…yeah it was a lot for me but cathartic.
I hope this isn’t the last in the PMA series as I truly love each story. However if it is,I’m glad Abel gave us their story.
Kayog has once more made a perfect match. Or I should say his first? Getting to read his and Linsea's tale was wonderful. I laughed. I cried. The world of the Prime Mating Agency is once more well woven by Regine Abel and I hope this is not the end of the PMA stories. Do read the trigger warnings, not necessarily in regards to spicy content but other happenings that may cause some readers distress.
This was another great story. It felt like the prelude to the series. How Kayog got his wife, became the best matchmaker in the universe and how he founded PMA. I’m a little scared this was the final book. It recapped, most of the main storylines and explained more in-depth a particular storyline that literally had me balling my eyes out. It felt like it rounded everything out. I’m praying it’s not the final chapter in the series.
