Date night has never been hotter! Shannon and Gray are beginning to think they’ll never get “alone time” again. But Declan and Quinn have plans for these two desperate shifters. Sit back and enjoy Lynn Tyler’s latest short story in the bestselling Pack Mates series, Date Night.
Shannon’s getting desperate. Between teething, colds, and night shifts, he and Gray haven’t been together in weeks. Hell, he’s pretty sure Gray’s three nieces are working together to make sure he never gets any loving from Gray again. But it’s Declan and Quinn to the rescue and Shannon suddenly finds himself in a hotel room with an equally desperate mate.
I enjoyed Shannon and Gray’s story in ‘The Wolf’s Tiger’, so I’m really glad Lyn Tyler wrote this short follow up about the powerful tiger shifter and his mate, who is a nurse and raising his three young nieces with Shannon’s help. Needless to say, the kids keep them so busy there is almost no time left for the two of them. The episodes showing their problems with finding alone time were funny—and I think all parents can probably relate to them. Thank God for Declan and Quinn, and the idea of “date night”.
Shannon is about as desperate as Gray to find some time for just the two of them, but with three girls under six in the house, they haven’t been very lucky. The speed with which they departed when Declan and Quinn turned up, all ready to take over for the evening and night, was impressive. And the best part, I think, was that the kids love the alpha and his mate almost as much as their uncles, so they don’t suffer any sort of deprivation; a fact that made relaxing a lot easier for Shannon and Gray. Although relaxing may be the wrong word. What they get up to is pretty intense, and very, very hot.
If you like Shannon and Gray, if short stories catching up with some of your favorite characters are your thing, and if you’re looking for a short read that is cute, intense, and hot all at the same time, you will probably enjoy this short story.

Shannon and Gray are committed to their relationship, pack and family. But lately, between raising three little girls and Gray's job at the hospital, the relationship part needs a little more attention. So when Declan and Quinn offer to watch the girls so Shannon and Gray can have a date night, it's an offer they can't resist. Gray takes Shannon back to the hotel where they first claimed each other with the mate bond and the spark that has simmering just under the surface for weeks, finally ignites.
This is by far my favorite MM Shifter series. Tyler always pays extra attention to those little details and nuances that make each couple in her stories unique. Shannon and Gray are all but overwhelmed with the responsibilities of raising the girls, but they are determined to make sure each of them knows how much they love each other. Stolen moments and kisses in the few minutes in between bottles, dinners, and bedtime stories just aren't enough right now. They have a mutual itch that must be scratched.
Short, Sexy and Steamy! And just in time for Valentine's day.
A wonderful short story about Shanon and Gray. The limited time that they had for themselves. They were always one of the 3 little girls wanting them...the joy of a parent. So when Declan and Quinn offer to watch the girls so Shannon and Gray can have a date night, it's an offer they can't resist. Can not wait for the next book in this series.
OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK: A must read, a great short story
What I really loved about this even though it's short you can feel the love and chemistry between Gray and Shannon. This a M/M paranormal romance if you're a fan of this genre I recommend this one. The heat is scorching. I loved the interaction between them and their nieces big tough guys turned to mush.
A nicely heated as well as love-the-kids-but-need-a-night-together short story for two favorites from the Called to Mate series, hunky cat shifter Shannon Cho and adorable, overworked nurse Grayson. Shannon and Gray are always a winning combination.
I just loved this short story. It showed how Shannon and Gray's love for each other is strong despite children and life. Can not wait for the next book in this series. Erin
The heat from the passion between the characters really scorched my cheeks. A well written quick read of an mm couple trying to have a romantic moment without being interrupted by the children. I don't usually as a rule read mm but I'm tempted as a result of this book to read the rest.
This is a sweet short love story about two male wolf mates that are raising their three nieces. Juggling work and the girls, they try to find some time alone for themselves. And when they do they make up for lost time. This book is about family, love and sacrifices and this series is a must read.
It was nice visiting with some of the familiar gang, but this was mostly an extended love scene between Shannon and Grey. We had brief appearances by their three girls and the Alphas to provide a cover so this wasn't simply porn.
Sometimes it's hard to get time to yourself when you are raising a family. As the mom of five I can certainly relate. I love how being a Pack Alpha sometimes means you get to babysit to help others out. And it was great to see Shannon and Grey have a little me time.
I loved reading it although it was short. I can't seem to get enough of these guys no matter what they're doing. So thank you Lynn! I will look forward to more....
