Never Forgive and Never Forget. Hunted as witches during the Salem Trials and haunted by their past sins, the Crowhart women carry a deep secret and an inescapable curse.
Rhiannon Crowhart, the renegade second sister of the notorious family, returns to the sleepy town of Crow's Nest in a flurry of storms and scandal. Her homecoming is not hospitable, as the townspeople and her own sisters are keen to hold onto old grudges. Not that Rhiannon requires their welcome. After all, she hated everything about the island, the town, and the old Atelier she recently inherited.
Everything except a pair of gray eyes that look at her from the bookstore next door. Eyes that belong to the Mayor's daughter. Eyes that Rhiannon keeps seeing in her dreams.
Prudence Fowler has never seen a more fascinating woman than the one who glides around town in four-inch heeled boots carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. Rhiannon Crowhart is as beautiful as she is troubled. And, above all, Rhiannon Crowhart is dangerous.
When their connection upends both their lives, Prudence needs to choose between family loyalty and loving the woman who is Wind herself.

This was not for me unfortunately. I was bored through most of it despite a few witchy cozy moments sprinkled in. I wasn’t connected to any of the characters and really didn’t like the two main leads together. I didn’t even find the spice interesting since I couldn’t stand Rhiannon or Prudence together. This book wasn’t what I was expecting and was ultimately disappointing. Natalie Naudus regardless is an amazing narrator but couldn’t save this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Tantor Media for the early access.
I loved this witchy book! I purchased it a little bit ago and with the audio coming out, I decided to read and listen together. It was a fabulous experience!
Thank you to NetGalley, Tantor Media and the author for an advance listening copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I look forward to the next book and seeing where the mystery goes. I enjoyed all the magic and cast of characters and cameos from other books by this author ;).
The connection and chemistry between Rhiannon and Pru was palpable and steamy. While a bit more instalovey than I prefer, the emotional burn really was slower and more relatable. Both MCs had depth and arcs with Rhiannon’s more intense and developed.
Picking this up was a safe bet for me. i had already read Windburn as soon as it came out, but at the time Firewild came out, i had forgotten some of the things that went on in Windburn, so when i saw this on NetGalley i could not not request it.
Natalie Nandus did a great job of bringing these characters and their complicated, emotional story to life. i loved how the feelings and the witchy mood was portrayed and performed. i got really immersed into the story
an easy 5/5 listen
Thank you to NetGalley and Tantor Media for providing this ALC for me in exchange for my honest opinion.
Not even Natalie Naudus's narration can save me from how boring this book. It was off to a great start but around the 27% mark is when it started to lose me and now I'm 62% in and I have to dnf because I genuinely have not comprehended anything for the last 20%. I believe it's the writing I find unreadable because I had similar issues with reverence by the same author.
Thank you Netgalley and Tantor Media for the alc in exchange for an honest review.
