Notes for me

Miller - CEO

Lindsay - photographer taking professional pictures of his crew

Had a great dinner and really like each other. They planned to have a second date.

He attends a gala and asks her to go. She has a photo shoot. Lindsay sees pictures on social media of him with another woman.

She realizes he already has the power to hurt her so she breaks it off. He’s devastated but tells her if she ever needs anything to come to him. He even says in contact with her sister to check on her.

Oh my gosh, 31% in I’m stunned. This took a crazy turn.

Safety

He’s been on 2 dates in 5 years with no intimacy at all.

She ran from the man who wanted all of her. Now he’s her only safe place.

Lindsey knows better than to trust a man like Miller Brody. He’s powerful, possessive, and impossible to ignore, the kind of man who looks at her once and makes her feel seen in ways she isn’t ready for. One perfect night nearly gets past every wall she has, but one moment of doubt sends her running before he can hurt her.

Miller doesn’t move on. He waits, watches, and keeps showing up in the only ways she’ll let him, even when she tells herself distance is safer. But when Lindsey’s life falls apart and her family is threatened, pride is no longer an option. She calls the man she tried to forget, and Miller answers like he was never leaving.

What starts as protection turns into forced proximity, a fake relationship, and a home that feels too real to dismiss. Miller knows how to fight, but Lindsey has to learn how to be cared for without bracing for the cost. Between grief, fear, desire, and rebuilding trust, their connection becomes dangerous because it’s no longer just physical.

Lindsey grows from guarded and self-protective into someone willing to accept care, trust desire, and believe love doesn’t have to cost her safety. Miller grows from controlled, possessive pursuit into steadier devotion, learning to protect her without treating her vulnerability like something he can fix. Together, they shift from instant attraction and mistrust into high-heat intimacy, fake-boyfriend closeness, and a partnership built through honesty and chosen belonging.

A hot billionaire small town romance about trust after fear, guarded vulnerability, protective love, and finding family when everything falls apart. It’s about accepting care without losing yourself, rebuilding after grief and doubt, and choosing a future with the one who shows up when it matters most.

The Elevator Pitch: A guarded photographer tries to outrun the pull of a powerful man who sees too much and wants too deeply. When grief and danger threaten the only family she has left, he steps into her life as protection, temptation, and a promise she’s terrified to believe. What begins as survival becomes a fight for trust, belonging, and the kind of love that doesn’t let go.

The plot was kind of... surprising. Otherwise, it just seemed a little long, and the romance a little perfunctory.

As the third installment of the Brodys of Whiskey Run series, The Billionaire I Can't Deny is a fast-paced, addictive read that seamlessly blends the "fake relationship" and "second chance" tropes. The story begins with a magnetic meet-cute when Lindsey, a photographer, finds herself behind the lens capturing Miller, a powerful and wealthy bachelor who can’t seem to take his eyes off her.

Despite their instant chemistry and one perfect night together, a misguided understanding and a moment of doubt lead Lindsey to block him, fearing the inevitable heartbreak that comes with falling for someone so far out of her league. However, when tragedy strikes and Lindsey is left to care for her young nephew, Eli, her world begins to crumble.

It is here that Miller Brody truly shines; he doesn't just step in to help, he completely takes over. Moving from a persistent suitor to a protective, take-charge anchor, Miller pulls Lindsey into his life and home, declaring to the world that she belongs to him. While the arrangement starts as a fake relationship born of necessity, the lines quickly blur.

Miller’s possessive nature and his "all-in" attitude from the very beginning make their connection feel dangerous and inevitable, especially as he forms a heartwarming bond with little Eli, whose excitement practically radiates off the page. The narrative is gripped by an emotional intensity that keeps you on the edge of your seat, particularly when an unforeseen twist occurs that is as shocking as it is soul-crushing.

The push and pull between Miller’s unwavering certainty and Lindsey’s hesitation—rooted in her past choices and the high stakes of her new life—gives the story a grounded, realistic weight. Ultimately, this is a beautiful, heart-wrenching, and sweet journey about a woman who ran once and a man who refuses to let her go a second time, delivering a deeply satisfying happily ever after.

Hope Ford’s The Billionaire I Can’t Deny is exactly the kind of swoony, addictive romance that’s impossible to put down. From the very beginning, the chemistry between Miller and Lindsey pulls you in, and it only gets stronger as their story unfolds. The pacing keeps things exciting without feeling rushed, and there’s just the right mix of tension, emotion, and heartfelt moments.

Miller is such a compelling character confident, intense, and definitely used to being in control, but there’s more to him than just the billionaire exterior. As the story goes on, you really see his protective side and the vulnerability he tries to keep hidden. That balance makes him feel real instead of just another over-the-top alpha hero. It’s easy to understand why Lindsey can’t resist him, even when things get complicated.

Lindsey is just as engaging in her own way. She’s not a passive character at all she has her own strength, independence, and emotional depth that makes her relatable. I loved how she doesn’t simply fall into Miller’s world without question. She challenges him, stands her ground, and brings out a softer, more genuine side of him. Their dynamic feels natural and full of sparks, which makes every interaction fun to read.

What really makes this book stand out is how well the emotional connection builds alongside the romance. It’s not just about attraction it’s about trust, growth, and opening up to someone despite past fears or differences. The story delivers plenty of steamy moments, but it also has heart, which keeps it from feeling one-dimensional.

Overall, The Billionaire I Can’t Deny is a fun, feel-good romance with memorable characters and a relationship you can’t help but root for. If you love billionaire romances with strong chemistry and a satisfying emotional payoff, this one is definitely worth picking up.

ARC Review

The Billionaire I Can't Deny by Hope Ford is Book 3 of Brodys of Whiskey Run. All of the Brody Siblings/Couples are also in this story.

⚠️ TW not listed:
Chapter 9 - death of Sibling, alleged car accident

Lindsey is a photographer hired to do a business entrepreneurs photo shoot for a magazine. Miller is there for the photo shoot. He immediately falls first and it's insta-lust-to-love. They go on a wonderful date, then Lindsay sees a gossip magazine photo of Miller dancing with another woman the next day. Lindsay doesn't want to listen to Miller's reasons. She sorta-ghosts him... meaning she doesn't respond to his texts/calls, but lets him purchase new tires for her truck, buys her daily coffees/snacks and brings her flowers. She accepts all of this... but will not talk to him!! She doesn't talk to him because she doesn't want heartbreak. 🤨😖 When she needs him, she then calls him... he comes instantly. Miller has been steadfast for Lindsey since the beginning. (Miller should really look for someone else.) Ṣëxƴ tïmës doesn't happen until Chapter 15 - 58% in. It is an ägë-gäp (10 years), it is only causally mentioned in an off-hand comment; so not a main theme at all. 😵‍💫 *Hard manhood* was used a lot to describe Miller... ick. I am giving this 4 Stars because I liked Hope's previous body of work and this story does add overall to her Whiskey Run World. However, I am very disappointed that Hope had to use an outdated, sexist, crappy, lazy trope in her story (read my spoiler). This has an HEA & future epilogue.

SPOILER
Hope uses a "reverse fridging" on Lindsey by killing her sister in a car accident to motivate Lindsey to talk to Miller again...SHAME ON YOU HOPE!! 🤬

I ran from him once.
This time… he’s not letting me go.

He’s my fake boyfriend, my last hope… and the man I was too scared to keep.
Miller Brody is powerful, possessive, and completely out of my league. One perfect night was all it took to ruin me, and one moment of doubt sent me running.

Now my world is falling apart, and he’s the only one who can fix it.

Miller doesn’t just step in. He takes over. He pulls me into his life, his home, his arms, and tells the world I belong to him. It’s fake. It has to be.

But the way he touches me feels real. The way he looks at me feels dangerous. And the way he says mine… it feels inevitable.

I tell myself I won’t fall for him again.

Because if I lose this, I won’t just lose him.
I’ll lose everything that matters.

This contemporary small-town billionaire opposites attract romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters who are a billionaire alpha male who is powerful/possessive, and a female heroine who are both resilient, captivating, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with the billionaire I can't deny, explicit romance that is consumed by steamy, sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice, with all the feelings to leave readers breathless and begging for more, chaos/drama, heartfelt emotions/emotional depth, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the billionaire I can't deny, and a contemporary small-town billionaire opposites attract romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wildly lustful, intriguing, and unforgettable.

Content warning. Off scene passing of parental figure.
How did "Just a photo shoot" turn into, " Just dinner"?
Lindsey wasn't impressed with the billionaire, he seemed arrogant, so full of himself. He asks her to dinner and tells her that to her, he was an open book so ask away and don't believe the gossip blogs. Just to give him a chance.
Miller has never felt this way about any woman. He's not the playboy the bloggers make him out to be and for some reason, he needs her to know that. He waste no time claiming her to any man that shows an interest. He's so into her that he's practically naming their kids.💞
After a misunderstanding, she tries to break it off, really she does. He made her promise that if she ever needed help, not to hesitate to call him. But even without being there, he still manages to do little things to make sure that she's taken care of.
When an unexpected tragedy strikes, she holds on for as long as she can before she calls him for help. And he doesn't hesitate to rush to her side and help.
Miller won't let anyone or anything hurt the ones that he loves.
He falls first and hard (which I really love) and Lindsey tries to hold on when her world came crashing down around her but then she called for help. There's nothing wrong with being a strong woman but we all need help sometimes and he was there in a flash!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Billionaire I Can’t Deny by The Billionaire I Can’t Deny — Hope Ford 💎🔥❤️

This book was the perfect mix of emotional angst, possessive billionaire energy, and swoony romance! From the very first chapter, I was completely invested in Lindsey and Miller’s story. 😍

Miller Brody is the kind of hero Hope Ford writes so well — powerful, protective, intense, and absolutely obsessed once he decides the heroine belongs to him. The fake relationship trope mixed with second-chance feelings made every interaction between them feel charged with emotion and chemistry. 💥💎

I loved Lindsey too. She’s vulnerable without feeling weak, and you can really feel how much fear and self-doubt shaped her past decisions. Watching her slowly realize she deserves love, safety, and someone willing to fight for her was incredibly satisfying. ❤️

And Miller? He doesn’t just step into her life — he completely takes over in the best way possible. The way he protects her, claims her publicly, and refuses to let her run again gave this story all the delicious possessive billionaire vibes. 😮‍💨🔥

The emotional tension was just as strong as the romance. You could feel the history between them in every scene, and the fear of losing each other again made the story impossible to put down. 💎❤️🔥.

Their Fated Connection -
From the moment Miller met Lindsey, he knew she was his future wife, but he realised he would have to take it slow, as she didn’t trust easy or believe in her worth. However, before Lindsey and Miller could go on their second date, a misunderstanding caused her to put a stop to his pursuit. Unfortunately, before Lindsey and Miller could resolve their issues, her life was turned upside down, which led to him putting his wants aside, so he could support her.

Even though Lindsey wasn’t confident in her relationship with Miller, he did everything possible to make her believe in his intensions towards her, which included his family making her feel welcome. As luck would have it, once the situation plaguing her life was resolved, Lindsey finally confessed her feelings to Miller, which led to their fake fiancé relationship changing to a real fiancé relationship.

I just finished reading this book and my mind is still reeling from the amazing camaraderie between the characters and the emotionally charged storyline, that drew me in from the beginning and kept me glued to the pages. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book now.

The Billionaire I Can't Deny is book three of the Brodys of Whiskey Run, and I love being back here.

Miller and Lindsey's story had me gripped from the start. Their meet cute, Lindsey's misguided understanding of Miller, how the drama unfolds (and I didn't see that twist coming). I don't want to say much because I genuinely didn't see it coming and it broke me.
What I will say is I enjoyed every minute of this book, I wanted to know what was going to happen next with Miller and Lindsey. Eli was a brilliant little character as well, you could feel his excitement as if it was coming off the page.
I loved it.

It’s very much a love-at-first-sight story—fast-paced, sweet, and easy to read. Considering it’s a novella, that approach makes sense.

Lindsey lands a job photographing Miller, and from the moment they meet, he’s determined to take her out. His approach feels a bit forceful at first—almost giving off a slight “mafia” vibe—which makes their early interactions somewhat awkward. As the story progresses, misunderstandings and personal insecurities come into play, leading Lindsey to pull away and essentially ghost him.

However, fate brings them back together when a tragedy leaves Lindsey needing Miller’s help. He sees this as a second chance and doesn’t hesitate, moving things forward very quickly.

Overall, it’s a quick, light read where the romance develops at high speed and wraps up with a classic whirlwind happily-ever-after. I do wish there had been more depth, especially in how Lindsey and Eli process their tragedy. Their emotional healing feels a bit underexplored, though that’s somewhat expected given the shorter format.

4.5 stars

This is book three in the author’s Brodys of Whiskey Run series and features Miller, the Brody I was insanely curious about after he was forced to be a stand in when Logan had two dates show up (in The Ex I Can’t Forget). As we’ve all heard said, “no good deed goes unpunished,” and it put a major kink in his blossoming romance with Lindsey, the photographer taking his photos for a magazine article as she refused to see him again.

I can’t say too much about Lindsey’s decision to cut him out of her life. Yes, she didn’t allow him much time to explain what had happened but she was genuinely trying to avoid having her heart broken. Who knows what I would’ve done in her shoes? I loved how patient and understanding Miller was though! Months later and he was still pining for her… who WOULDN’T want a man like that?

All of the books in this series have been wonderful and, if possible, should all be on every reader’s TBR but each can also be read as standalones so jump right in, maybe start here if you want; it doesn’t matter WHERE you start, just that you start SOMEWHERE. 4.5 stars.

An emotional read about loss, found family and learning to let someone in. I'm not sure if this book comes with a trigger warning, but it does have loss of a parental/sibling figure, custody battle and talk of malicious intent. I really liked Miller, he was all in from the first time he saw her, and even when she pushed him away he was waiting for her and spoiling her in the background. I wasn't a big fan of Lindsey though, she was just too stubborn for my tastes personally, and didn't believe things when he told her then acted shocked when it came true. I also wasn't a fan of the fact that she only came to him because her sister died and she needed help, otherwise she would have continued to not talk to him. Eli was a sweetheart though, he really went through so much for such a young kid, but still was so loving. The way his family swooped in to circle and protect them was perfection as well. No cheating or OM drama, slight OW drama but it was all in her head, no condoms, dual POV, push and pull, 10 year age gap, HEA and an epilogue. Looking forward to Penn and Aria's book, but I feel like it's going to break me emotionally.

She captures his image and he captures her heart

The Billionaire I Can't Deny is the third book in The Brodys of Whiskey Run series by Hope Ford. I loved this story so much. It has heart, emotion, passion, family and love...and it makes you cry and laugh, which had me at the first page and kept me sucked in deep, reading into the early morning hours. I loved Lindsey and Miller. She is a photographer who captures Miller's image and also his attention. He is a powerful billionaire who has a reputation as a playboy but really he is not. When he sees Lindsey for the first time she captivates him in a way he has never felt before. He is possessive and intense, and definitely wants to build a family and life with Lindsey. But she has a hard time believing it is true, after all he has a reputation so what would he want with her. They have their back and forth but in the end Miller is willing to do anything for Lindsey and she finally opens her heart and holds on to him tight.

Linds and Miller meet when she has to take his photos for a magazine. Then its wam bam moving right into it. The plot was almost there, seemed like their were some big holes missing, example they mention twice that his brothers girlfriend got kidnapped which threw a wrench into Linds and Miller's story but never go into more details then that.

While I was reading I kept thinking that there has to be other standalones that intertwined with this one, it wasnt clear when I recieved my ARC. So maybe it would better and more clear had I read the other Wiskey Run books first.

The plot just moves along.
This was a fairly quick read. Could have been long and I wouldnt have complained. It seemed like this book wanted to boarderline dark, but not commit. Mention of a kidnapping, people cutting breaklines.
Elements were there just wish some senes had more detail.

This is book 3 in the Brody’s of Whiskey Run. This book follows Lindsey and Miller. Miller is being photographed by Lindsey, and they have an instant connection, but a series of events, including something that happens in the previous book and is mentioned again here, causes Lindsey to very decidedly push Miller away. When a tragedy strikes, Lindsey reaches out, and Miller jumps right in to protect and claim Lindsey.

I loved so much about this insta-love book. Miller is steadfast and constant and just what Lindsey needs at just the right moment. Miller Brody is just the right mix of down-to-earth protector and family man. His desire for Lindsey to be in his life and his need to protect her at all costs lead to a fake relationship that is anything but fake for either of them. Whether you are long-time Hope Ford readers or new to this world, you won’t be disappointed in this sweet and steamy insta-love read.

Hope Ford delivers a captivating romance with The Billionaire I Can’t Deny. Lindsey and Miller’s story is filled with passion, vulnerability, and undeniable chemistry. The tension between the two characters kept me hooked from start to finish. Miller’s possessive yet loving nature makes for a swoon-worthy hero, while Lindsey’s struggle to protect her heart adds depth and emotion to the plot. The “fake boyfriend” trope is handled with care and authenticity, making their journey feel both dramatic and real. Ford’s writing is stellar and makes you root for Lindsey and Miller to overcome their fears and find true happiness together. This is a heartfelt, satisfying read for anyone who loves billionaire romances with strong emotional pull. Highly recommended!.

It's alluring: the confidence, persistence without overstepping. Sweet, sentimental, special moments. Wonderful kid. Goodness, kindness, support and fast, strong feelings. Emotional reservations, insecurities because of small, unnecessary jealousy, caution. Resources for safety, well-being.
It's really sad that tragedy makes the protagonists reconnect, become finally close, and have a happy life together, a family, in these circumstances.
Why did it have to happen so the heroine could really know the hero, his good characteristics, personality, and devotion? It's harder to fully enjoy the story; it's not only amusing or light, nor about push and pull, but also heartfelt, sad, and a desire to fight injustice and bad intentions stemming from grief, sorrow, and bad people. Nice, emotional ending.

The Bilionaire I Can’t Deny is swoony sweet alpha protector hotness caring for a troubled young woman with nowhere to turn. The twists this book took me on were unexpected and brilliantly developed. I loved Miller and Lindsey’s story, filled with love, hope, courage, caring, found family, heartbreak, and healing. Eli is just the coolest kid, for real, and Miller’s instantaneous love for Lindsey is just so sweet. Her self esteem needs some work, yet she holds to her boundaries (too hard, because of fear, of course) and the roller coaster she lives on is quite exhausting. The Brody family is just so amazing, and I loved seeing them continue to show up for Miller, Lindsey, and Eli. This is a heartful and beautiful read!

Miller met a very attractive woman who was a photographer. Miller asked her out, they had a lovely dinner and then they made plans to go out again. Lindsey sees a picture of Miller with a beautiful woman and she thinks Miller lied when he said he hadn’t dated in 5 years. Lindsey decided to block his calls and texts and refused to listen to his explanation (this annoyed me so much). Time goes by, Miller still misses her but unfortunately Lindsey’s sister has passed away and she now has custody of her nephew. Her nephew’s grandparents are threatening her, prevented her from working and trying to take custody of Eli. With no one else to go to, Lindsey calls Miller for help. Miller sweeps in and brings them to his house and him and his family surround them with love and protection. Can Lindsey finally open her heart and mind and realize that Miller is the man for her and her nephew?

This was such an easy, addictive read with all the tropes I love. The fake relationship mixed with second chance vibes worked really well, especially with the history between them already adding emotional weight. Miller is that classic protective, take-charge billionaire who knows exactly what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to go after it, and I loved how all in he was from the start. The heroine’s hesitation and past choices made the push and pull feel real without dragging things out. It’s fast paced, emotional, and has just the right mix of sweetness and intensity. If you like possessive heroes, fake dating that turns real, and a solid happily ever after, this one is definitely worth picking up 💖.

Miller and Lindsey meet when she photographs him for a benefit and have a terrific first date. But when helping out his family the next day, there is a misunderstanding and she tells him off and doesn’t listen to his explanation. He does get a little stalker-y, but mostly a guy trying to show he is sorry by his actions.

But then Lindsey is forced into a corner and she has to call Miller for help. And he is all in. For her and her orphaned nephew. Loved their moments together. She fights leaning on him but will do anything for her nephew. Miller refuses to let her down and does everything he can. Will that be enough?

I really enjoyed this story with Lindsey and Miller. Miller falls in love with Lindsey immediately when he meets her and she's hesitant. They go on one date and he knows he can't wait to make this forever with her. Lindsey sees him dancing with a woman and steps away and refuses to have any relationship with him. She's terrified of being hurt even more than the hurt she feels after one day when tragedy strikes when she reaches out for Miller's help and he's there immediately. Not only is he there but his whole family embraces her and shows her love that she's never known. They become her family and she realizes that she was running from her destiny and finally let's Miller in to her heart. As usual hope Ford tells a wonderful story

This is book number 3 of the The Brodys of Whiskey Run series and focuses on Miller and Lindsey. When Lindsey was hired to photograph Miller for a magazine, he knew from the minute that he saw her that she was the one for him. They had one great date before a situation came up that sent Lindsey running. Miller never gave up and was there in the background making sure she was taken care of. However, when a tragic event happens in Lindsey’s life, Miller is the first person she reaches out to. Miller did everything he could to make Lindsey and her nephew feel secure, protected, and loved. This was such a wonderful story and an excellent addition to the series.

Lindsey is hired to take photos of Miller Brody, hot and wealthy bachelor. It should have been a quick job but she ends up being there all day. Miller ignored everything else after she walked into his office. They have a great night together, their chemistry is hot. Lindsey freezes him out after a photograph was taken of him with a woman at a gala he asked to her to attend. Her past trauma with men have her very suspicious. He keeps trying, even talking to her sister. When tragedy strikes and Lindsey has no where to turn, to protect her nephew, it is Miller she calls on. Miller is ready to do anything for her, including being her fake fiance, even if he wants it to be real.

A quick and entertaining read which has Miller Brody falling hard and fast for the pretty photographer. Lindsay Casey is quite taken with Miller but she has a few reservations when it comes to the handsome billionaire. When tragedy strikes way too close to home Lindsay feels she has nowhere else to turn but to ask Miller for his help. Miller, who is all in will do whatever it takes to keep Lindsay and her young nephew safe. The attraction between Miller and Lindsay simmers just beneath the surface as this sweet and sexy story wraps up with a worth the wait HEA. A fast-paced, emotionally charged romance that blends familiar tropes into a compelling and addictive read. With strong chemistry, high-stakes tension, and a storyline that balances vulnerability with intensity, the book keeps you hooked from start to finish. The emotional core is elevated by themes of second chances, trust, and stepping into unexpected responsibility, while moments of warmth add depth to the drama. Although the plot leans into some heightened, almost dramatic turns, it ultimately delivers a satisfying and heartfelt journey that romance readers will enjoy.
