The Book of Enoch: Paraphrase and Commentary

Rate this book
What if one of the most controversial ancient texts in Biblical history holds a missing key to understanding God’s plan, and your role in it?

Long dismissed as apocryphal, the Book of Enoch has haunted the edges of Scripture for centuries. Quoted directly in the New Testament, revered by early believers, and feared by later theologians, Enoch describes a cosmic worldview of angelic rebellion, spiritual warfare, divine judgment, and heavenly order that modern faith has often learned to overlook.

Written thousands of years ago, Enoch’s visions speak with striking relevance to our generation today. The darkness he described is not distant it echoes in the spiritual conflicts, cultural corruption, and fear-driven narratives we are facing now.

In The Book of Paraphrase and Commentary, bestselling author and visionary prophetic leader, Johnny Enlow, brings this enigmatic text out of the shadows and into sharp, accessible focus. Through a clear, modern paraphrase of Enoch’s writings paired with insightful commentary, Enlow invites readers to engage with The Book of Enoch as a powerful lens for interpreting the Bible itself.

Enoch’s message aligns with a mandate to advance the Kingdom of Heaven into every sphere of society, including the Seven Mountains of culture.

Written for students of biblical prophecy, readers of ancient apocalyptic texts, and believers hungry for spiritual awakening, The Book of Paraphrase and Commentary confronts modern skepticism while equipping readers with discernment, confidence, and spiritual authority.

This book will transform the way you read the Bible, and challenge, inspire, and equip you to live with purpose in God’s Kingdom today.

The book of Enoch was full of surprises

I have heard of the Book of Enoch and even read part of it, but until Johnny Enlow started to talk more about it on Elijah Streams, I just thought of it as an ancient book. And it is certainly an ancient book preserved probably by Noah on the ark since Noah was the grandson of Enoch. The book is full of things which validate its authenticity, like where the New Testament and even Jesus himself quoted parts from the Book of Enoch. What I didn't like is that Johnny repeats himself so often, as if we can't remember from page to page what he said before.

I thoroughly enjoyed this edition of The Book of Enoch. Enlow gives an excellent introduction to the work, and gives a good balance of commentary to source material ratio. I wish there had been a bit of a summary or closing comments at the end of the text, but it wasn’t really necessary.

I have read once

I think this will take at least another reading or two. Not that Johnny’s writing is hard to understand, it’s just so deep!! I know that considerable prayer is needed plus Holy Spirit’s involvement.
