12/1/25 This would be a 3.25 read for me ... so despite liking it I didn't like it THAT MUCH/enough to push it to a four. So maybe a 3.45 read. But it had the weirdest least sexy sex scenes. Well not THE weirdest. But just ... weird unsexy sex. Some slightly hot scenes but ... more not so.
I commented this was a book where it features a hero who is human, but doesn't know how to human. And honestly I think BOTH his parents were very much to blame for that. Later we get a little bit more where it indicates his mother was ~afraid to show him any kind of care or kindness because she didn't want her husband to murder him ... but the first impression where she is AWFUL to him because she hates him because she transfers the hate she has for his father to him was ... way too lasting.

It was interesting with kinda an eagle eye on characters and yet they weren't developed. Like even our mains were pretty static. It was nice they all kinda came into play but then it was all vague and ... what? And I was annoyed by how ridiculously strong the villains were. They suffered so few losses.
This is just me griping though, cuz I did definitely enjoy the book and even immediately went looking for more books by the author. I'm easily won over by a smitten hero. I almost think he develops more and more quickly than FL.
I liked the extras, though I felt the ending [as usual, sigh] was SO ABRUPT and we needed more like it was ... gah like walking into a door that you expected/though was open!
Definitely C++ or even B- ...-?
