There is good content and I kept wanting to like the book, but then I run into parts like this:
"Sleep became a personal project and then a collective one.
I worked with campus leaders to change policies and the timing of programs, pushing for space where student-athletes could truly recover, so they would be able to perform and retain their sanity. What started as a whisper of curiosity became a voice for change.
At first, it was all about mechanics of sleep: rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, slow-wave sleep, sleep latency, sleep debt.
But soon it became something more."
And you think "wow that really looks AI generated." Then you pop the quote into Pangram and it agrees "Yeah bud, 100% AI for that quote".
Really a bummer.

This was actually easy to understand for the fact that it is so science-based. I loved that the studies are included so that you can do your own research. It's broken down into sections for sleep, exercise, eating, and psychological health. At times it can feel a bit overwhelming, but overall it is broken down so that you can step up and are not expected to be at the level of an elite athlete from the get-go.
I like the workbook section. I would recommend doing it in a journal as opposed to the workbook itself, because there is not a lot of room to write, and some activities are meant to be repeated.
I received an arc of this book as a goodreads giveaway.

This is a standard self-help, become a better person, be all you can be type of book. If you are interested in this type of book this book does have a lot of detail and provides a workbook at the end so that the principles can be begun immediately. The program looks at everything from how your past affects you to your daily rituals so it is pretty intensive. If you are looking for a new self-help book it is worth a try.
