In her 6th poetry collection, Sara Rian continues to write about the journey of life after loss. For anyone looking to connect to their grief, these short poems capture the complexity of loss from a griever's perspective. Grief feels complicated enough; the way we talk and write about it doesn't always have to be.
My dad passed away suddenly 2 years ago. Sara Rian's poetry on social media has been like a sweet balm to me ever since. I finally went ahead and bought all of her available e-books. Honestly, I had a hard time reading "Find Me There" because it felt like an ultra-concentrated grief trip/reminder, and I was feeling discouraged that maybe I only liked the poetry in small doses. However, this book felt more like a warm hug and feeling seen-- the feelings I like so much from the small-dose poems.
