Adam Burke retreats to Colorado’s Rocky Mountains seeking silence and recovery. But while fly fishing a remote stretch on the Western Slope, he discovers a frozen body hidden near the riverbank.
What looks like a simple wilderness death unravels fast when Burke finds clear evidence the man was running from something far more dangerous than the cold.
With no allies and the wilderness turning hostile, Burke must rely on instincts he learned with Special Reconnaissance and expose the truth behind the corpse before the same people erase his very existence.
Poor ole Burke couldn’t have a peaceful vacation if his life depended on it! Good fishing and pretty lady, along with lots of gunfights. What more could you want for a vacation!
Dead Zone was exciting and an excellent book to get to know the author. The story took place in countries which have placed American people on a watch list that makes their job hard to do. I enjoyed the book and the characters in the story took place make the story more interesting.
I enjoyed the story and the action. Burke’s training gets him through the toughest times and the bad guys just fall to the wayside. Very enjoyable read.
