One fall stole his memories. Can the power of a true love’s kiss bring them back?
As Aribella answers her first call as an EMT in Baggersville, she’s ready for almost anything… almost. Despite her time as an Army Ranger and the training she’s received, nothing can prepare her for what she encounters.
The man lying unconscious in the dirt isn’t just another patient. It’s her husband, her childhood best friend, her once-in-a-lifetime love. After years apart and a long road back to each other, one fall from a horse threatens to erase everything they’ve rebuilt.
When Ashdyn wakes, he doesn’t remember his life before the accident, or his wife. To him, she’s a stranger with steady hands, an ethereal beauty, and eyes that stir something familiar deep inside.
With the help of the three Biddies and a group of friends, Aribella and Ashdyn strive to piece together the life they shared. Flashes of memory surface with moments that feel like déjà vu and spark hope that the love they had isn’t lost forever.
Will Valentine’s Day be a chance for healing, or falling in love all over again?
Smoochin' My Valentine... Again is a sweet romance free from profanity and promiscuity. Though part of The Beanbaggers of Cornhole County, this story can be read as a stand alone.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and though I didn’t have to post a review, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression upon finishing it.
This is a wonderful story of love sticking through the hard times when childhood sweethearts are separated by life choices and years later reconnect after circumstances bring them back together again. Things are idyllic but then the unthinkable happens and an accident causes Ashdyn to lose his memories of her and his other memories.
Slowly memories start returning enough that he knows he loves her because that feeling still exists even though he doesn’t remember Aribella.
It is a story of love, faith and perseverance because while she remembers he doesn’t even though he knows he did feel those feelings for her and wants desperately to remember!
I really liked this book and wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend it to one and all! These two take their marriage vow seriously and stick it out even when it’s frustrating due to one not remembering his life prior to his accident!
If something like that happened with your spouse would you stay with them as you vowed when you married them or would you finally walk away? It’s a choice everyone might be called to make in their marriage one day. What would you do? Stay or leave?
I love this series by Madison and heartily recommend all the books in this series as well! There you’ll read the love stories of the other characters in this book!
I know you’ll enjoy this series just as much as I have!
Madison Love has written the best one yet in the Beanbaggers series. This one is not a simple story of small town romance. While it does showcase that, it is a story of strength and resiliance, courage and determination. Rebuilding a marriage in the aftermath of amnesia, the characters show beauty and strength of character. Their faith is forefront and their love, while having to be rebuilt, is beautiful. This story is hopeful. It is strength. And it is one I know I will revisit more than once.
This book is my favorite story in The Beanbaggers of Cornhole County (A Christian Small Town Romcom) series. It is a heartwarming Valentine’s story that takes place in Baggersville, Texas, a place where miracles happen! Aribella Crawford is married to Ashdyn Crawford who was her childhood friend. Aribella means beautiful lion and befits her because she is fierce, protective, and doesn’t back down. She is a former Army Ranger and has just started working as an EMT. Ashdyn Crawford is a former rodeo rider and is now a horse trainer at the Triple H Ranch. He is loving, loyal, and committed. He has been smitten with Aribella since they were small. Ashdyn gets thrown from a horse and is in a coma for 10 days. When he wakes up, he has retrograde amnesia and doesn’t remember Aribella and that she is pregnant with his child. This story relates how they work to rebuild their life and marriage, embrace the future and let go of all they’ve dealt with in the past. Baggersville is a special Christian community, so helping them through this ordeal are their wonderful friends , including the three colorful and caring “Biddies” that have been present in the previous stories. Will Ashdyn’s memory return and will they have a future together? You must read this tenderhearted, loving story to see how their faithfulness and trust in God make them believe that they belong together. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book from BookSirens. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions expressed are my own.
let me just say this book rocked my world. it brings everything my fellow Christians believe in. faith, family and freedom. i messaged the author and told her every time I read a book from this series I feel like I am at home in Mayberry. where life is simple and values are strong. this book brings on a strong sense of morals and values. two characters who found their way back to one another and he suffers from an accident hits his head and loses his memories. but his inner strength fights thru and they find their way back. this authors books never progress further than the kiss. and this is no different. the big difference is that they are married. but her moral compass will not let her progress with him as he is a virtual stranger. she found a way to once again have her best friend from childhood fall in love with her. I adore this authors stories as she dives deep into the values of a Christian society. it's what in my personal opinion we need to go back to. a huge portion of this book tests both characters faith but also portrays the past on how she found her faith along with her freedom. it's a book about about healing from the past to progress with a future and surrounded by like minded people who we have seen in other books. this book hit me hard after the devastating loss of Charlie Kirk. myself as a reader found Mayberry here and all it's quirky friends and family.
Aah and Bella are relatively new characters to the Beanbaggers lineup, but I was hooked by their backstory when I first read it in Ace's book. Best friends through childhood, they were separated when she went into the military and Ranger's training. After his folks sold the farm, Ash took the job with the twins training horses at the ranch (partly because Bella was in Texas as well). God was moving them around his large chessboard to meet back up. Together and happy, until trajedy strikes and he's injured and loses his memories. She's perfectly suited to help care for him physically, but regaining the memories will take time and patience.
I loved how this story focuses on faith while not coming across as preachy. The characters have a solid foundation they use to keep their spirits up, and remain hopeful despite setbacks. There is also a plethora of community support, from their fellow Beanbaggers to the Biddies and other townfolk. One of my favorite little side bits is how Ash deals with the horse that threw him. As an animal lover, this stole my heart. All the books in this series are heartwarming and clean enough for any age group (no foul language or sensual content). I would recommend them to anyone. I was gifted a copy and voluntarily provided this review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
A wonderful story of childhood friends who fall in love but she, Aribella, feels the need to leave him, Ashdyn, and join the Army Rangers. She pushes him away but he can’t deny his love. Then a battle goes wrong and a hero comes back scarred, taking years before she can reach out, yet when she does that unfaltering love is there. But a beautiful love story is not yet complete because this couple will have one more battle to overcome and it’s going to take every ounce of strength they have and their faith in God to see them through it.
A story that made me wonder how I would handle such a devastating loss whether I was Ashdyn or Aribella. Both lost something precious but because of their love they were able to find most of what they lost plus made beautiful new ones. And of course, it’s always fun to be back in Baggersville with the original Cornholers and the Biddies; there’s never a dull moment with them around. And all the new babies were absolutely delightful. A sweet, clean romance with a thought-provoking storyline with faith based guidance and support from family, friends and neighbors in a small town where you may cry a few tears in sadness but just as many if nor more in laughter.

Who knew getting thrown from a bucking horse could cause so many problems?
Aribella and Ashdyn are happily marrried after years apart and growing up inseparable. They just found out they are expecting and then the unthinkable happens. Ashdyn is a horse trainer and he gets thrown from a horse he is training. Aribella is a EMT and it’s the first day of the new fire station that they just finished building. She comes to the aid of Ashdyn when he gets bucked off and breaks his wrist and ends up with amnesia.
I felt the pain of Aribella having to go from wife to a person who knows Ashdyn but he doesn’t know her. She is essentially a roommate but married. I felt like I could hear Ashdyn fall from the horse and hit his head.
What I enjoyed the most was the dating agin between Bella and Ashdyn to help him get his memories back. Also the faith that is weaved throughout the book. Faith plays a big part in Baggersville and in Ash and Bella’s relationship.
Ashdyn may have memory problems for the rest of his life, but he is able to make new memories with Bell and their precious peanut.
Favorite line:
‘So far, all of my memories revolve around you. Either I’m not that interesting, or you are the most important part in my life.’

This is a story about childhood friends who ended up married. But they allowed their chosen careers to keep them separated as Aribella ("Ari") enlisted in the Army to take advantage of the opportunity for a free education in pursuit of her chosen career. Ashdyn chose to continue working at his family's ranch, eventually moving to another state to train rodeo horses. Eventually, the two of them began to lose contact with each other and had become strangers.
When Ari eventually returns home and begins working as an EMT, she responds to a call where a bronc rider has been thrown from a horse in training and hit his head on the fence when he got tangled in the reins. Ari never expected she would know the victim! The unconscious man turns out to be her husband, Ashdyn. When he regains consciousness, his memories of his past and his wife were gone. Will he eventually get those memories back as he heals? Will Valentine's Day commemorate the start of renewing their love again and putting in the work needed to make the HEA last? Or is it too late to fix what they have lost?
"Smoochin' My Valentine... Again", penned by author Madison Love, grabbed my heart's reins and never let go. This tale provided an excellent blend of understanding, faith, hope, and a renewed depth of love between Ashdyn and Aribella. After an accident almost tore them apart, it was up to their love and hope to conquer whatever trials appeared before them in the days, months, and years ahead.
I absolutely adored the message that the author had purposely filtered throughout this well-written story. The gentle message that I heard was this: 'God knows everything about where you've been, where you are trying to go and what you have to overcome.' Throughout this book, it was evident that true love sets the pace, sets the tone, and the timing. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and can't wait for the next one!!
This book was phenomenal! It was so nice to be back in Baggersville! I love this town so much!! This time we get to follow Ashdyn and Aribella's story, which has a lot of ups and downs. These two were best friends since first grade and became more in HS! After a separation, they miraculously find their way back to each other. Tragedy strikes and their life is totally flipped upside down. Watching them work through everything they have, both in the past and present, was inspirational. Their live for each other and God helped bring them back to each other. Along the way, we get to see all the past characters that I just love and see how things have changed and grown. I love this story of love and perseverance with the help of God guiding their way.
Smoochin' My Valentine … Again is another, outstanding, small town, Christian romance from Madison Love. I highly recommend any book in this and its related series. Ashdyn and Aribella had a long, difficult journey to each other before their marriage. Their life is interrupted again. Ash is the patient in Ari's first call as an EMT. When he finally wakes, he has no memory of her. This fabulous book is the story of their journey after the accident. It has many wonderful scenes as Ash works to recover from the accident. I particularly enjoyed this book's set of Inna Cross cornhole boards and where they ended up. The several years later epilogue is perfect. The Biddies and other characters are fully present in this epic book!
A second chance at falling in love? But with your wife? Signed me up. When I tell you the town of baggersville has a special place in my heart, is because it has. Plus can we talk about this cover? Amazing! Arabella and Ashdyn? What a power couple! This story was beautiful, memory lost, accident, the town being there for them, falling in love again. Madison know how to write becuase romance filled with God, beauty and characters who you can relate to. You see those 3 ladies in the cover? I absolutely love them! But for sure this 2 characters have won my heart, I was literally crying on chapter 3! So yes make sure to pick this one up!!!
True love. A clean Christian based tale that goes easy on all aspects of the storyline. It is a continuing tale of a pair of residents that live in this town. The main characters are a horse trainer and his EMT wife. The other characters that supplement this tale may not be front and center throughout but they do make their colorful and essential contributions to the story. This is a wonderful way to spend your time if you can’t find any cheap chocolates or your subscription to Netflix has laspsed.
Smoochin' My Valentine... Again by Madison Love is a clean, well-written small-town romance based on Christian principles. A beautiful, heartwarming, and emotional story with beautiful characters that you get to know well. It is an inspiring and faith-building story full of warmth and love. The little town is just a place where you would love to live, surrounded by people who love you and are there for you.
This is a perfect ending to a wonderful series. You can enjoy this great small town love story even without being a Christian. It is a clean, sweet second chance love story to touch anyone's heart. It deals with major problems that face some people and brings tears to your eyes, and a smile to your lips. I recommend this book to all who enjoy clean second chance romances.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed this story. It was good to get an update on the people we got to know in the previous books. This was a bit of a different love story because it was about a married couple who had to find their love again. We got a bit more of the backstory of the couple. It was very sweet. I also liked that faith was a part of their story.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a great book by Madison Love. This was my first time reading a book where one of the main characters had amnesia, and I really enjoyed it. It was fun to see the characters fall in love again and their strength and trust in God as they navigated this rough time. I truly enjoyed this book and would read it again and again. 😁
What you would do if you couldn't remember the love of your life?
Fantastic addition to the Beanbaggers of Cornhole County series with Ashdyn and Aribella. These two have known each other since childhood with their lives going their own way after High School find them catching up again with their paths cross again. But what happens when one of them loose their memory?
This is a small-town, second chance romance. Aribella and Ashdyn are happily married. She is an EMT and he works breaking horses. When a terrible accident occurs, Ash loses his memory. He can't remember Ari at all. This is a problem for Ari as she doesn't want to sleep with a man who doesn't know her. Ash sees this as a chance to win her love again.
A heartwarming and beautiful love story. Interesting, thoughtful and these adorable characters will pull your heart strings. You'll be rooting for them the whole way. So much small town charm, I loved the wonderful community support. A lovely, well-written feel-good story full of warmth and hope. I would definitely recommend it and the whole series.
What a great ending to a series. Im also a little sad that its the last book in the series.. the story holds your attention from the first word.
Its a well-written story of a couple who were bedtime friends who found their way back to each other. Because if an accident had to make the journey all over again
Sweet addition to the Beanbaggers of Cornhole County series by Madison Love. Ash and Ari just found out she is pregnant when he is badly injured trying to break a horse. He has no memory of her or their life together. This is a beautiful story of love and God’s blessings. Not only their first love, but their only love. *I received this as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.
Nothing prepared me for the emotional turmoil I was going to find in this book. But this story isn't sad, it's a show of strength, of coming back to love, of finding the courage and the way back to family and purpose. It is really moving, how they both got to heal themselves.
I loved this story! It was sweet & clean. It was a clever & original storyline. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Christian themes & Scripture verses throughout the book. Madison Love's stories always inspire me to want to be a better follower of Jesus.
I’ve really enjoyed these stories by Madison Love. Getting to know the people and their lives through these books makes you feel like you know them. I love getting lost in a great story and sometimes find it difficult to stop reading to get some sleep. Madison is a gifted storyteller and works her magic to make you feel as if you know the people in the story. Ari and Ashdyn are married, but that wasn’t something that came easy. They began as childhood friends that developed into a relationship during their high school years. Their career paths took them in different directions. “Ari wanted free education and work experience that required her to serve four years in the Army, and I needed to stay home and work on my family’s ranch to keep it running.” At first, they stayed connected on a regular basis, but their communication slowly began becoming less and less, until it stopped. Ashdyn moved to Tennessee training horses for bronc riding. Ashdyn really enjoyed working for Hunter and Hayden Harrison. During that time, he got a phone call from Ari’s mom that she wanted to see him. She shared with him some of the horrible experiences she had while in Afghanistan. She had been seriously wounded and burned. Ari slowly began sharing with him what she had been through. Currently she’s currently working to provide medical assistance when the Fire Department goes out on calls. Her dream job is to become a paramedic. Ari makes an appointment with her doctor to find out if she’s expecting. Hunter, one of the men that owns the ranch he’s working at tells him to have lots of tissues around due to mood swings and don’t forget cravings. Unfortunately, as they’re talking, Madame Menace (the horse he’s trying to work with) rears up to buck him off. His hand is tangled in the reins and his “back and head smack against the fence post before the earth and darkness consume me.” The station gets an emergency call from The Triple H Ranch; a rider has been thrown from a horse and has hit his head. Ari is almost afraid to ask, but she quickly finds out it is Ashdyn. They arrive and get the information about the accident, get Ashdyn stabilized and secured safely to avoid any further damage. The waiting is unbearable as emergency rooms always are. The Biddies and other people from town arrive to support Ari and pray for Ashdyn. I love how small towns come together in times of need. Ashdyn’s alive but needs to take things easy for a while and allow his body and brain to heal. He doesn’t recognize Ari, which is like a punch to the gut. Now, I don’t want to ruin this wonderful story for you. Will Ashdyn be okay and will his memory return? What will Ari do if he never remembers her? Will Ashdyn ever be able to work with horses again or will this accident have him looking for something else? To find out the answers to these and so much more, get your copy of Smoochin’ My Valentine…Again by Madison Love today! You won’t be sorry.
Madison Love takes her readers on a wonderful journey of love prevailing over all in Smoochin’ My Valentine…Again. Part of her Beanbaggers of Cornhole County series, this book continues the touching love stories and the power of faith. I loved the twist on the second chance romance she put in her story. This book advertises a novella, but I think it is a full length book at just over 300 pages.
Aribell and Ashdyn have grown from childhood friends, to sweethearts, to now married. They have overcome so much together. Aribella is a former Army Ranger, is fierce, and stands up for what she believes in. Ashdyn used to be a rodeo rider and now trains horses. He is kind, loyal, and head over heels for his wife. Their love is deep and unbreakable. When Ashdyn is thrown from a horse and develops retrograde amnesia, their love is tested in a big way.
As they figure out their new normal, Aribell knowing who Ashdyn is, while Ashdyn has no memories of her, I was captivated by how they still stuck together. Never giving up or having thoughts of leaving, Aribell stands by her man, firm in her faith that his memory will be restored. Ashdyn may not know who his wife is, but he still feels things towards her that settle deep in his soul. I could feel the connection between these two easily in the way Madison writes. I felt all the emotions and could only imagine how I would be if this was a situation I found myself in with my husband.
Madison never fails to capture a love between her MCs that is deep and raw. She stays true to her convictions, writing her faith into her stories, while keeping them suitable for almost everyone. Her books not only allow me an escape, they feel my heart in a way that no other books do. I always look forward to her books and know each story is going to be a wonderful read.
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 💖Small Town Romance 💫EMT FMC 💖Second Chance Romance 💫MMC Loses Memory 💖Closed Door Romance
SMOOCHIN’ MY VALENTINE . . . AGAIN is the latest (and feels like final) entry in Madison Love’s Beanbaggers of Cornhole County series. All of the original characters have married, and this time it’s friends who have become family who are featured.
Ashdyn trains horses for the Triple H Ranch. While riding a new horse, the accurately named Madame Menace, he is thrown and loses his memory. Called to the scene of the accident is his wife, Aribella, an EMT with the Baggersville Fire Department’s First Responders crew on their first call. His injuries will heal, but will Ashdyn regain his memories?
Author Love could have drifted into two camps with her story: Either Ashdyn is faking memory loss, or it becomes a soap opera cliche and overdramatized. The author does neither.
It helps that Ashdyn and Aribella are lifelong friends too. I can’t imagine going through the same situation without wondering all time if my memories would return and trying to force things into a return of normalcy. Having your best friend go through it with you would be both helpful and frustrating.
I continue to enjoy each return to Baggersville and highly recommend this book in the series.
I received an advance reader copy from the author through BookSirens, for which I thank them. All opinions are mine.
Another great book by Madison Love! This is another in the Beanbagger series, although it could also be read as a stand-alone, as the backstory and other relationships are all well explained in the story.
From the beginning, you can tell that Ash and Ari have a strong, loving relationship and even when Ash’s accident erases his memory, there is no obstacle they cannot overcome. I loved how the community came out to support them, and were patient with Ash as he didn’t remember who they were or how they knew each other. I also really enjoyed the dual POV, so we could experience both sides of Ash’s memory loss. His occasional flashbacks were well-placed and really added to the story. Ashlyn and Aribella’s faith (along with the faith of the rest of their community) was also a large part of their relationship and their healing process - it was woven seamlessly into the writing and never seemed forced.
Overall, this was a sweet kind of second-chance love story and I highly recommend it! Thank you to BookSirens and the publisher for the free advanced copy - this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is probably my favorite book in the whole series. I love the interaction between Aribella and Ashdyn, even when he can't remember anything about their past. I feel like their story is really a story of sticking by the person you've committed to, even when things aren't looking great. Neither one gives up on the other. It's super cute.
I also enjoyed learning more about their background. While Aribella and Ashdyn were in the previous books, we didn't get to know them as well as we got to know the other couples. After finishing this book, I really want to go back and read the whole series over again. I probably won't do that for a while, but I think I'll probably end up doing that eventually.
This is a clean book. There's no swearing, graphic sexual content, or violence. It does involve a TBI, which results in memory loss. There are also some very mild innuendos between Aribella and Ashdyn, along the lines of them mentioning heading up to bed to get started on the sort of things that create children. It's very mild, but it is there.
I got a free ARC from BookSirens, and I left a voluntary review.
Is a sweet clean small town, amnesia, second chance, Christian romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like --- “Hospital food will get you every time, I tell ya’. You’d think that for as much as they bill you, the meals would be five-star. No wonder you’re feelin’ ill. But just wait until you see the invoice, then you’ll really feel sick.” --- 'I’m gonna marry you one day, Jelly Belly.’ That’s what best friends do."" --- “Women have a strength and resilience that is unmatched,” --- "I believe that a kiss is meant to be more than a physical act of desire and that certain things are meant for marriage only." --- What are the Biddies up to? Will Ashdyn get his memory back? These and other questions will all be answered. I loved Aribella and Ashdyn story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and I can't wait to read her next book. I feel like I’m leaving family and friends behind since this is the last "Beanbaggers" story. Maybe in the future there will be more.
