If you have ever had a nudge in your heart to truly know God

In His Eye Is on the Sparrow, Ezinne invites readers into a gentle rediscovery of who God is and what it means to walk intimately with Him. Through honest storytelling and biblical reflection, she reveals that faith was never meant to be a performance, but an invitation to rest in the gaze of a God who has never looked away from you.

By drawing on her experiences and those of the heroes of faith contained in the Bible, Ezinne has created a resource for every person who desires to practice Biblical disciplines and answers the frequently asked question, “how can I build a relationship with God?”

I really loved reading this book. Somehow, Ezinne manages to distill the heart of knowing and walking intimately with God into this beautiful resource. She takes what can often feel daunting or abstract (having a personal relationship with God) and demystifies it in a way that is honest, practical, and relatable.

The book cuts across the foundations of our faith: understanding the voice of God, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the importance of the Word and prayer, and how these can anchor us as we navigate life’s challenges. Ezinne also shares principles that she has tried and tested that help cultivate a consistent, authentic relationship with God.

I particularly loved the personal anecdotes that Ezinne weaves into the book alongside biblical narratives. She’s vulnerable in a way that is genuine and relatable, inviting the reader to see how these truths have played out in her own life.

This is a book I would highly recommend to agnostics, new believers, and seasoned believers alike. It meets you where you are but also gently invites you deeper. It’s truly a beautiful resource and one I know that I’ll continue to return to!
