War has come to Saicean. With Orontes as King of the Oceanids, the threat to Saicean and its inhabitants has never been greater. The Oceanid army has laid siege to the underwater paradise, and Estelle Bailey once again finds herself trapped by Orontes’s hand. This time, within the walls of what should have been a safe place.
Tensions mount as supplies run short, and being the only female Sachael in a world dominated by desperate men leaves Estelle feeling vulnerable. Tired of having to live like a prisoner, even a well-treated one, Estelle decides to act. They need a weapon. And she can think of only one person who still has the means to kill Orontes and end the war—Michael.
With Azariah and Chanon in tow, Estelle flees their world, heading to the remote islands of the Faroes. But their mission to find Michael yields so much more than they expected. Faced with information that could change not only the war, but the course of all Sachael existence, the trio must make a choice: return to Saicean with Michael, or follow a lead that could change everything and pray they make it back in time to save their home.
Book Three of the Mine Series, Sachael Discovery layers new intrigues and betrayals into Estelle’s journey, escalating the stakes to levels as sweeping as the backdrop of beautiful locales.
Melody grew up in North Yorkshire, England. She's a North Yorkshire lass through and through, although she does have a tendency to holiday in Spain. She has dreams of moving to the warmer climate to sip on Sangria as the sun sets over the roof tops of surrounding buildings. But, for the moment, she still lives in North Yorkshire with her husband and two sons.
I received an e-ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Review can also be found on *Milky Way of Books*
The sequel to the Mine series was as adventurous and excited as I hoping it to be! I loved how Estelle and Azariah tried to discover the history of the Sachael and how many enemies they have to face both seen and unseen.
The underwater world was described magically and I enjoyed every minute of it!
I jumped at the chance to read an advanced copy of Sachael Discovery and boy am I glad I did! I have given this FIVE stars but would definitely rate it higher if I could.
What. A. Book!!
Fans of this series are in for a real treat! I didn't want to put it down. Melody Winter has delivered an absolute cracker of a story, full of surprises with lots more to come from this series.
SD3 is the continuation of Estelle and Azariah's story and Melody continues to build on her unique underwater world, bringing to life vivid details with rich descriptions and an amazing affinity to weave a tale of love and adventure into one amazing story. This author has such a fantastic imagination and that is echoed within the pages of all her books but I must say SD3 is her best yet! The cliffhanger alone was enough to give me goosebumps, the next book can not come fast enough.
Melody Winter gives us lots of new characters, some great, some not great in this fresh and exciting tale of the folk that live beneath the waves.
I loved this book. Another great continuation to the Mine series. More action, mystery & romance. Loved the evolving dynamic love relationship between Estelle & Azariah and their new adventures in finding answers to Sachael history. They work through their opposing views, beliefs & actions with compromise but it doesn’t turn out as well as they thought and comes with huge consequences. We learn more about Sacheal history and secrets that throw Azariahs confidence in who he thought his species was and if he can trust his father. A must read in my opinion and looking forward to the last installment to come next in the series to answer the remaining mystery’s.
Finally got round to starting this on my holiday this year. Started Thursday, travelled home Friday and couldn't put it down. Finished by the Sat. Now eagerly awaiting the 4th instalment. The journey for Azariah and Estelle continues throwing many twists and turns their way. I have my suspicions at where it was left. Can't wait to find out.
